[Archived] STEVE KEAN protest (home game against everton)

Recommended Posts

According to kammy on the latest podcast, the owners are present for the everton match.

I say support the team with everything you have and put your reservations about kean and venkys to one side and if we get 3 points then it's happy days for now, it's 60 years since we last lost the 1st 3 league games and hopefully it ain't gonna happen today, COYB!

Kean has a habit of breaking records (worst run the club has seen in 25 years) so there might be a chance.

I guess you are referring to season 1951/52

August 18th Home. Sheffield United Lost 5-1

August 22nd Away. Doncaster Rovers Lost 1-0

August 25th Away. West Ham United Lost 3-1

That season Rovers played 9 games before a win against Notts County on 29th September. They lost 7 and drew 2. However, things did improve and they finished the season in 14th place and also reached the F A Cup Semi Final

Well I suppose that just illustrates our differening views on football. I'm not a consumer, I'm a supporter, and Rovers isn't just entertainment, its a lifestyle. Your attitude of "if you don't like something about the club, just don't go" would see fanbases fluctuate wildly and eventually collapse in a matter of decades.

Perhaps, then, we'd see some sanity restored to the game.

I just don't believe a word coming out of Kean's mouth - to lie in court (allegedly) is bad enough but to quote the old saying " you can fool all the people some of the time but you can fool some people all the time" (might be the other way round). The man is having a laugh & the joke unfortunately is on us!

you can fool all the fools some of the time, but even some of the fools wake up sometimes
