yoda Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I know someone who lives near to his flat. Earlier in the year someone posted dog muck through his letterbox and he told neighbours he suspected it was a Burnley fan. I think that may have been wishful thinking on his part as I suspect it was more likely an angry Rovers fan. spill the beans then, location

onlyonejackwalker Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Cheers for replying EITwis. I trust people won't get on your back for having an opinion. The difference for me is that I cannot see ANYONE being worse than Kean and I can't see him improving. He doesn't even see that things are going wrong, just blindly looks for "positives". Basically insults our intelligence. People (players, fans, owners) need the manager to say things as they are, not make excuses and move on. If we couldn't find anyone to replace him (which I'd doubt) I'd give the role to Ryan Nelsen. As club captain, he must have some leadership skills. The current facade is doing no-one any favours. Time to rip off the band-aid. Gentle warning. I was ridiculed all over twitter last season by suggesting Nelsen took immediate charge with 8 games to go. But it really is that bad and has been for a very long time. Anyone tried and tested would do a much better job, massivley assisted by at last uniting the fans. Lest we forget we have had some of the biggest names in English football as recent managers. It was and remains laughable that Kean was given this position. At least with Ince whom some are comparing to Kean, he had earnt his chance as both a star player and bright young manager. The decision to appoint this fella suprised the whole of football, not just us. As loyal and devoted fans, the least we expect is to be able to understand the majority of the decisions taken, even if we do not always agree. With the current regime, confusion reigns, little makes sense, and with confusion comes uncertainty and unrest. The club is in trouble. Removing Kean does not even begin to solve all the problems, but may rectify on-field issues. Step by step with staying in the PL as a priority. It is time the fans really got organised and made a difference.

booth Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 benitez could actually be a good fit thinking about it, prob the best available manager (after hughes, who im a little unsure about). There's a few managers about that could do a job, two of which you've mentioned, which makes it even more baffling how he got the job, and has stayed in a job. Ranieri is also out of work. I suppose you could say his stint at Roma ended badly but at least he had the good grace to resign.

It is time the fans really got organised and made a difference. If we are to be stuck with our current personnel, I would give Ryan a go rather than stick with Kean ever day of the week. I would obviously prefer an experienced man-manager. But with everything else going on around the club I'm doubting that is going to happen. People are free to disagree but I think it really is that bad.
booth Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 spill the beans then, location I'd have to ask the guy who visits my work place. Why are you going to get together an angry lynch mob with sticks and fire?
yoda Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I'd have to ask the guy who visits my work place. Why are you going to get together an angry lynch mob with sticks and fire? No of course not, but he could receive an offer he could not refuse
booth Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 No of course not, but he could receive an offer he could not refuse An offer that he won't be set upon by an angry mob with sticks and fire if he does the right thing? It's in Whalley somewhere if I remember correctly.
deryck guyler's spoon Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 No of course not, but he could receive an offer he could not refuse Steve Kean is a Glaswegian so I'd reckon you'd have to go some to scare him off.
booth Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Steve Kean is a Glaswegian so I'd reckon you'd have to go some to scare him off. So is Ronald McDonald so I'm not sure how true that is. He's a clown as well.
Fife Rover Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I am starting to really hate this man, slimey backstabbing rat. I profoundly disagree with that statement.....Where is your evidence for that? By all means express your concerns at his performance as a manager and I will agree 100%, but as for your terrible insuations and hatred....never. You are treading a very dangerous path coming out with those kinds of statement, and not only that you are putting this MB at risk as well. I suggest you aplogise and withdraw your remarks as something said in the heat of the moment ASAP.
philipl Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 The reality is Kean lost the dressing room at half tiime v Blackpool when Samba took over and the dramatic turn around in the last four games only came about because four senior players put their foot down and sorted out how we were playing. You could replce Kean with a teddy bear and the players would do a better job than he is. PS Fife- there is a shed load of evidence. The only question is how it comes out.

Fife, I've been guilty of some indiscretions on here so I have to tread carefully but you are exactly right. Welcome to 2011. The reality is Kean lost the dressing room at half tiime v Blackpool when Samba took over and the dramatic turn around in the last four games only came about because four senior players put their foot down and sorted out how we were playing. More of your opinion presented as fact. Substantiate it or sling it. So is Ronald McDonald so I'm not sure how true that is. He's a clown as well. Are you on drugs?

Let's hope it passes soon.

philipl Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 If Kean is fired, why drag the club through the mud? Folks were posting the same sort of stuff chllenging for proof about Anderson/Kentaro. I am not for a moment suggesting that the Daily Mail is Gospel truth but you have to say that article by Nick Harris this morning is a bit of an eye opener. The £1.6m Anderson got paid for us signing Rochina is in fact a much bigger number than even I was expecting. And DGS let me share this with you, it is just conceivable we could have had Australian owners but for what wee Stevie is believed to have been up to with his pal Jerome....
yoda Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Steve Kean is a Glaswegian so I'd reckon you'd have to go some to scare him off. The pen is mightier than the sword, come on Philip spill the beans, you know the time is right

1864roverite Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Never and wont be a Kean fan however, my observation is that he has got us playuing some decent pass and move football. what is evidently clear is that he has no clue how to set his team up and cannot appear to grasp the issues within the team. His motivational skills are lacking, his management is missing and the only thing present is his bullshit which appears to be baffling the brains. WAS prepared to give him a chance NOW want him OUT as soon as possible.

I'd say time to move him on but who do we get in? Please dont say Martin O'Neill.
ABBEY Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Tony Parkes should be put in temporary charge. He'd at least organize the team properly and play the best eleven. He's also not going to go arse-kissing in Pune to try and get the full time job. therin lies the promlem, the V's want their ego massaging and smoke blown up their arses!

I Love Ranieri, he built the foundations at chelsea team before abramovic came along with his £££, cant belive no other prem club has tried to get him in since leaving chelsea, if hes available hed be my number 1 choice by a mile for me, he ticks all the boxes- knows what the prem leagues all about, plays good but competative football, players/fans and media respect and love him, knows a good player when he sees one, doesnt seem to mind the board/owners getting involved(within reason!).
ABBEY Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 What about a daily protest outside Ewood? Do it at the same time every day so that it keeps on building momentum. If we could get a couple of thousand down there every day for a week, and get a bit of media coverage, perhaps Venkys will finally sit up and take notice??? i spit my pop on my keyboard, hahahaha, a few thousand when yesterdays protest mustered ONE!! PROTEST OUTSIDE EWOOD PMSL! they will all be at brockhall!!! protest every day how? people are working!
