[Archived] Steve Kean

Glenn

We're now had our worst start since the 1950s, but an improved performance and some bad luck. So how do people feel?

Huh? Who are ready to put what behind?

I thank those who I have spoken to today and hope that Rovers can now move forward, The information on these boards both in this thread and every other thread has been read by those who can make things happen i.e Mrs Desai, and she is listening and she also wants to lift the doomm and gloom and let history be history and look to the future

How do you read it, hawkiiz?

"Steve Kean put him on gardening leave"

Firstly can you drive a ride on mower with a drink drive conviction? wouldn't have him in my company, his work agency would use him to get rid of all my present staff and replace them with cheap foreign workers on inflated agency fees before forcing me out and replacing me with somebody with no experience in gardening or lanscaping.

And could you imagine the lies?

Steve why have you not finished that lawn and the others have finished their jobs? "the grass wasn't wet enough", "Ive got 586 blades of grass in my grass box they only have 540 but managed to finish" "someone spiked the petrol in my mower" " I was all over it , on another day I would have finished" "This mower is fairly new and needs time to get use to the grass" "Sorry had to fly out to "insert country" to see how the grass grows there"

Steve why are the lines on the lawn wobbly , have you been drinking ? "no" Are you sure? "uhm well I had one, uhm two, uhm three"

I posted on another thread after the Wolves game that I personally would give Kean the first 10 games this season and then assess his and the teams progress.

Since then I have changed my mind on the back of results, his odd team selections and ridiculous head in the sand 'presser' mentality when all around is clearly turning to shyte,I want him gone now - and to stay gone.

Open question to the near 60 or so self-flagelist's who say give him more time:

Considering his appalling record to date at what point this season do you say enough is enough?,at what stage does Keans position become untenable for you? .............................

Listen to this Mrs Desai, if you want to make sure that the recent history under Steve Kean becomes history, before things get worse and more bad history is made - get rid of Steve Kean NOW.

And get somebody in who will create a new better history to make sure Steve Kean's history is forgotten as quickly as possible.

And while you are at it, please make sure that when a player is in form and scores a goal - said player isn't then dropped to the bench for the next game at the expense of a guy that can't seem to hit a cows ass with a banjo.

Today can be remembered as FANS day, when ur voice was finally heard, and the message hit its intended target #onwardsandforwards

Surely this can only be related to one thing?

How much do you want to bet that rather then this being renamed "fans days" it will just be remembered "Monday the 29th of August 2011 where nothing changed day"

I just don't know who or what to believe anymore - I spoke to someone this weekend who assured me things are far worse at Ewood than we know & this person is very close to a former employee who would be close enough to know the truth. One thing is for sure Kean's & Anderson are a cancer eating away at our club. My opinion only - of course!

As one of the 60 my answer on when is as follows:

-when we have a replacement agreed and ready to sign that week

-when the next International break comes up

-and at a point when the Home fixtures look better to give us some momentum

Saturday was very very unlucky and I did not think Kean did much wrong.

WE SHOULD HAVE WON AT LEAST 2-0

The real blame is on Venkys for sheer naievety, especially since the scum nicked Phil Jones

Fair enough, we wouldnt want you to lose your job in controversial circumstances and have this numpty talk positives to the lovers of gardens when everything is dying around them.

Not to worry about losing the job, I'm the boss (wife may differ) and work alone. Gnomes are only good for kicking.

he was present on my TV too!!!

If you read this thread, I explained this earlier. Saw the highlights which named the teams with Lansbury as sub. He didn't feature on the highlights (what a shock!) so I wrongly assumed they hadn't used him. OK?

The point was, it was a weak Arsenal team by their standards but a better team than our's. And they lost 8-2! Wouldn't like to see the point lost entirely!

I don't think I can cope!!!

It does seem as though there is a pattern emerging with transfers, as others on BRFCS have quite rightly stated. We seem to be getting linked to players & stories keep coming out that make us a little excited. Then they drag on for ages and eventually disappear into thin air! They're just feeding us beans to keep us quiet!!!

I have watched every game so far this season & I can't see how Steve Kean is capable of making our performances improve. During the Sheffield Wednesday match we looked a real team in the first 15 minutes or so then we sat back thinking we could just walk them off the park, and the second half we looked second best. In my opinion, the manager needs to motivate the players to crack on & get some more goals "send a message to the fans", but we came out & looked more like a tame Accrington Stanley!

During the Everton game the only period where we looked the better side was just after the break, and we couldn't even get the win from 2 penalties, we were desperately unlucky but at the same time a good manager would have pre-nominated penalty takers, considering our primary penalty taker is the worlds most injury prone player & surprise surprise... he'd gone off injured!!!

I know some people who know David Dunn personally & he's been going on about how good the spirit is between the players & how they are all behind the manager. I also know someone who hears things from another angle & he's been saying that Dunn, Pedersen & Roberts are Steve Keans "Stooges" and are just pandering to him. My opinion is that the manager lets them play & gives them a little special attention because those 3 are the guys that are in contact with the fans, and that is why we keep hearing all this clap trap about how good things are at the club at the moment... if that was true, why can't we sign any good players with decent pedigree???

I have also heard stories that on some days the manager & his assistant aren't present at training & that there is sometimes less than 2 hours of training on these days!!! Can anyone verify this?

There's bound to be speculation & stories that in the most part are complete twollox but there has to be some truth to some of the things that have been said around and about, and even if I only believe part of what I've read & been told, it's going to make me pretty worried about the future of our club.

For what it's worth I voted for Steve Kean to get sacked, as I can't see how he will get close to turning this around. If we get a manger in who is experienced & knows the league we might have a chance, take a look at our next 8 games...

Fulham (A)

Arsenal (H)

Newcastle (A)

Man City (H)

QPR (A)

Spurs (H)

Norwich (A)

Chelsea (H)

I'm struggling to see a point out of that with the current manager, we have a possible chance of a draw in one or 2 of the away games, but look at the next 4 home games!!!

Someone said to me today that we couldn't be playing Arsenal & Spurs at a better time, but then I struggled to remember a time when we'd played a proper big team & taken advantage of them not doing so well.

Just imagine if 5pm on Saturday 5th of November comes round and we'd lost all of our opening 11 matches & Steve Kean was still in charge sprouting his usual cods-wallop to the cameras after the game... I'd have a mental breakdown... bigger than the one I'm having now!!!

GET RID!!!!

In an administrative sense this season will be the worst in decades - it's absolute chaos behind the scenes and the players will be aware of this.

In light of the rampant unprofessionalism of our owners we desperately need a strong character at the helm in regards to on-pitch activities. We need a manager who can take the focus of the players away from the disaster that is the club itself and just focus on training and playing ninety minutes to the best of their abilities. That man is not and will never be Steve Kean. Whether any manager with any remote inkling of common sense would come here (I doubt it) is another debate, but it doesn't change the fact Kean is not the man to lead us forward - backing of the players or not.

I was talking to the greenies(medical staff)and they said Ewood staff nearly walked out on friday after some managment consultants came in and started telling them how to do their job.

I'd just like to say to the Rovers fan who called me a ###### last season for daring to say it'll end in tears with the Venkys, who's the ###### now?. I wish i was proved wrong but when they got rid of the local accountants it was obvious they were wrong 'uns.

I know I wasnt alone when I had the most ominous feeling that day the Rao brothers walked onto the pitch to be introduced to us. 'Would you buy a used car off these men?' was the question that sprang to mind.

  1. The departure of Allardyce was unnerving.
  2. Replacing him with the 100% inexperienced Kean was seriously worrying.
  3. The departure of John Williams suggested that something was seriously amiss on a business (and possibly an ethical) level.
  4. The nonsense involving cheap publicity stunts (stories about signing Beckham, Ronaldinho and anyone else who features prominently in the world media) confirmed any lingering doubts we may have had that Venkys were here for anything but football.

We now face a situation where 90% of the fans on here are probably more worried about the future of Blackburn Rovers than at any time in living memory - AND OUR OWNERS DO NOT CARE!

They are here purely for the business, not the football, that is perfectly clear. Well OK, lets treat them like you would any other business - BOYCOTT THEM. Not Blackburn Rovers FC, but the Venkys.

Don't buy anything from the stadium, or the club shops. Make it known - on here via a poll, and in emails to the Venkys - that every one of us vows never to buy anything they sell (especially their godawful-looking chicken if they ever attempt to foist it onto the British public).

Contact the media in the UK and India to tell them this boycott is happening.

Be as vocal as you can at the matches, with banners and chants that say We want our football club back! A proper manager. Owners who respect the fans and the club. Something - anything - to suggest this great club of ours isnt being destroyed by asset-stripping shysters with no way back. From where things stand right now, sacking Kean should be a no-brainer as the first of a series of measures - without delay!

look i don't want to be disrespectful but not buying stadium merchanidse is like closing your eyes during the ITV adverts because you don't like the programme breaks! they don't give a flying-one about your 3 and 4 pounds for tea pies pint and hotdogs. the only thing that will get their attention is bad-bad publicity - empty stadium or worse. t it won't happen because the fans are too selfish or soft top make a stand. WHAT WOULD JACK DO?
