Andy Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 One solitary home win in 9 matches is indefendable.
BRFC1995 Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 One solitary home win in 9 matches is indefendable. the stat that simply takes 2nd half performances into consideration is the staggering one in my mind 24 premier league 2nd halves played........2 won.........14 lost, 2nd half collapses are just expected. 8% 2nd half win stats, 1 in 12 win ratio in 2nd halves under kean. Said it so many times whatever he does at half time to tinker/demotivate has to stop. His stats will see us down without a fight.
47er Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 I have only one comment to make------Kean out out out and out!
Mc Love Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Anyone else see the daily mail article saying venkys won't sack him no matter what?
47er Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Has anyone seen Kean’s interview on Sky today? Someone just emailed me saying he burst out laughing after watching it……. Apparently the season starts NOW! So our relegation rivals won't get to keep the 9 points we gifted them?
67splitscreen Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Anyone else see the daily mail article saying venkys won't sack him no matter what? That was eight months old , if it's the one in the relegation topic your referring to.
Kamy100 Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Kean off to India today for his regular meeting with the owners.

BPF Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Kean off to India today for his regular meeting with the owners. His last I hope....
Kamy100 Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 His last I hope.... I doubt it, absolutely no idication whatsoever that he is going to be sacked, in fact the opposite they are continuing to back him.
Taggart Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 I doubt it, absolutely no idication whatsoever that he is going to be sacked, in fact the opposite they are continuing to back him. Kamy hi, Have you had any fresh quotes or updates fromt eh horses mouth, that they are continuing to back him ? or are you basing that on the transfer window and bringing players in ? I`m curious thta if Mrs D has heard of the disdain for our current manager, coupled with him being a drunk driver (sackable offense in most jobs), coupled with the impression that gives of a role model, plus the poor points tally, surely means he must be going soon, or very close to it ? Also, why does he lick his lips really quickly like a lizard does when he is doign TV interviews, it freaks me out !
Mattyblue Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Anybody still reckon Jerome is out of the picture?
alexanders Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Seriosly though Kamy. I heard your and WENs podcast this morning while eating breakfast. If you consider glen mullans info about fans day etc as well they are aware of the horrible run we have. They are aware of fans becoming extremely anxious and angry at their manager. They are aware of what all the papers are writing. If we lose again against Fulham I see no way this guy can continue. His record speaks for itself. It is horrible! I have been a member of this board during Mark Hughes, Paul Ince, Sam Allardyce and Steve Kean and there have always been people who have been unhappy about each of them , but NEVER EVER have I seen such a massive dissatisfaction with a manager at the Rovers.

In all the time that Venky's have been incharge of the club, their support of Kean is the only consistent thing that they have done. Also if they wanted to sack him they wouldn't be allowing him to come to India for this regular meeting.

If you consider glen mullans info about fans day etc as well they are aware of the horrible run we have. They are aware of fans becoming extremely anxious and angry at their manager. They are aware of what all the papers are writing. They are fully aware of the Fans viewpoints on Kean and they were shocked to receive the volume of e-mails etc. last week, but while it has had a effect in terms of them for the first time experiencing "fan anger" it has not at this moment swayed them into sacking Kean, instead what they have done is back him even further in the transfer market by allowing him to spend the money he has on Scott Dann. A loss against Fulham I don't think will change much, but maybe a loss against Arsenal and a massive negative reaction by the home crowd might sway them into sacking him but I doubt it. The problem is that they are insulated from a lot of this, for example any negative reports in the UK newspapers has no effect because it is not picked up by the Indian media, infact the Indian media have little or no interest in Rovers. So while the media here in the UK maybe is saying pressure is building etc, running negative Kean stories it has having little or no impact on the owners.
AggyBlue Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 infact the Indian media have little or no interest in Rovers. Their marketing strategy isn't working then or haven't they started yet?

Happy with how we played against Everton. So long as Mauro starts against Fulham we'll have a chance there. We ain't getting relegated. Still don't know about Kean but sacking him during the window would've been stupid. I'm willing to give him a few more games.
alexanders Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 But then we should continue to send these e-mails with the negative articles so that they are aware what media are writing about Kean and Rovers and how there investment is perceived around among football fans. I dont Venkys are bad business man and I dont think they are thiefs, but I think owning a football club is a total different matter than anything else in the business world. One of the biggest failures seen in english football is the two norwegian business man kjell inge røkke and bjørn rune gjelsten and how they sunk Wimbledon. In other businesses they are really shrewd and they are about to lead Molde FK in Norwegian top division to league winners for the first time ever. Might explain exactly how different, competitive and difficult it is to run an english football club.
Mattyblue Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Think it just shows how little they understand the game, his record is truly woeful, it shouldn't take an odd article in a British newspaper to tell them that.
pick32 Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 McClaren is quitting forest i would rather have the Wolly in charge than this clown. Hopefully his meeting with Venky's means he is getting the sack there are so many good managers out there currently out of work like Souness, Hughes, Curbishley, Oneil and i wouldnt mind if we got Poyet from Brighton his record is amazing.
