[Archived] Steve Kean

Glenn

We're now had our worst start since the 1950s, but an improved performance and some bad luck. So how do people feel?

Would have voted yes last November and I haven't changed my mind.

Today wasn't entirely Keans fault. However, the situation we're in, played three - no points, and it might soon be played 5 - no points, well that certainly is down to Venky's and Kean and it doesn't surprise me in the least.

For a small town club like rovers, staying in the top flight - well everything has to be in our favour. The club has to be well run from the top to the bottom, while the management, staff and players have to be bob on. Once Venky's began to pull that apart, we were on our way out of here.

That's what I believed in from the beginning and that's what I still believe now. Sorry guys, we're on the way down. Only two things can save us. Two top class strikers and I can't see that happening.

Can we have a thread on sacking Venky's as well please?

When we go down, Kean will say that he was misquoted and promised his Championship football,

If we go down and Steve Kean is still in charge I will gladly join anyone who cares enough to storm the gates of the club to have a sit down protest, Gandhi style.

Sadly with the dropping gates, I doubt we'll have enough fans to stage a proper protest.

INTERVIEWS? he stares away from the camera and talks bull!

fair? hes a lying ass licker

Interviewee's always look away from the camera, its general practice in television. Presenters always look directly into the camera.

It's incredible he's lasted this long. No, scrub that, it's incredible he got the gig in the first place.

My emnity for him knows no bounds. I fully expect him to take us down with about 20 points. He will ruin this club just to fill his own coffers.

He is a disgrace to football management, every day he remains in that job is like another cut. It really is death by a thousand cuts.

95% now saying sack, I wonder if a premiership manager has ever had such low support from fans!

It's a truly unique situation, because aside from the awful record he's not got a track record elsewhere to fall back on. At least Ince had won in the lower leagues.

You did miss something it seems. You missed the fact that we have taken 0 points from the opening 3 games of the season. You have missed our truly horrendous record since Kean has taken over. You have missed the fact we stayed up by the skin of our teeth last season, when we were a top 10 side the season before and were again sitting in the top 10 before Kean took charge. You have missed the fact that every game, Kean starts a striker with such a poor goalscoring record that it is laughable, despite us possessing some players that really could get us goals - they must sit on the bench. You have missed the fact that Kean still sticks with Pedersen who is ineffective at best, despite possessing more talented players - who, again, must sit on the bench.

Yes, the penalty misses were not Kean's fault, but the list of what is his fault is never ending.

Great post.

With reference to the penalties, players are far more likely to tuck them away away when they are confident. They are sorely lacking in confidence as a result of Kean.

3rd poll and the 3rd one that will emphatically go against Steve Kean.

How is this clueless, unmotivational man still in charge?

Results are what count and his team have not produced them. He can blame the lack of money or lady luck until the cows come home. The figures don't lie and he is a truely a poor manager.

I've voted for more time because I'm not a knee jerk reaction kind of guy.

"our worst run blah blah!"

Yeh I know that.

Reasons to be positive:

Wolves game, I guarantee most of you who saw the game thought we played quite well and the reason we lost was because we only had half a centre half playing.

Villa game, yeh we were poo.

Shef Wednesday game, it might have only been a cup match but to see what kind of football we could be playing in the future was an eye opener and a pleasant surprise.

Everton game, we walked all over them, not once did we look in danger. Two bad penalties later and we're still battling and creating chances.

A bad refereeing decision lost us a point and bad luck cost us all 3.

That's my reasons to be optimistic.

P.s. I also see our bad form as a Venkys mistake.

Sacking Sam when they did was wrong, it effected the team and our form suffered.

Then we changed the way we played; which in my opinion was too rapid. Which also effected our form.

Now the way we play has developed and the players are showing signs of progress, that is the reason I have wrote what I have wrote above.

Jadan Hall- you muppet.

You play for the Academy and you come out with a statement like that on Twitter- how long do you give him? I would guess a week before he is shipped off.

is it definitely his Twitter? Unbelievably stupid if true. Like one of us walking into work and announcing the boss was a moron, over a loudspeaker...

I agree with you a ridiculous tweet , from a young academy player , but it is about time some senior pros started to rock the boat..Because with Kean at the helm , the good ship Blackburn Rovers is heading directly for the rocks , with mammouth ramifications ..

Perhaps this young lad has the balls and belief to stand up and say it like it is...makes a change from Jason Roberts dont you think?

I can think of about 30,000 differences a week why Roberts doesn't have the guts to say the same...
