BPF Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 94 people have an opinion different from yours. It does not mean that they are "out of their mind" just that they have a different opinion. Are you one of those that has to shout down or deride folk who dont agree with you? Jesus, this forum becomes harder and harder to read. Apologies, Based upon all of the facts, in my opinion... 94 people are out of their head. Apologies for the forceful comment....

I wish the media would stop staying this about us, Tottenham are bottom. Love from a 'half glass empty-er' who appreciates accuracy.
CrazyIvan Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 There used to be a phrase that 'it's better to be lucky than good'. It's better to be both. Steve Kean is neither.
rovermagic Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I am not anti-Kean. I like the footballers he has brought in and given a chance to. But the handwriting is on the wall objectively. Ince never brought in top footballers. I even like Goodwillie. But SkyBET has us as 3rd favorite to go down at 11-10. And Kean as four times more likely than anyone to be the next EPL manager to depart. His problem is he can't win games.

It was downright unfair to dump that talentless lump of excrement on the Rovers fans in the first place.

It was downright unfair to dump that talentless lump of excrement on the Rovers fans in the first place. Interesting article. Ironically the next match is Fulham away. Just hope the article is true and kean is near to be given his P45. If he spoke about things at the club, he would drop himself in it. So no need to pay him for silence.
Mattyblue Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I can feel the tears dropping onto nicko's keyboard as he writes that. 'he's's a gem I tell ye'
philipl Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 A friend forwarded some stats today and I looked almost in disbelief - IMO, you don't realise how atrocious Kean is until you look in black and white beyond the bullsh1t. PL since taking over: Home P13 W3 D5 L5 F12 A13 P14 Away P11 W2 D2 L7 F14 A25 P8 Total P24 W5 D7 L12 F26 A38 P22 Win % 21 And since February 2011: Home P9 W1 D4 L4 F6 A9 P7 Away P8 W1 D2 L5 F11 A19 P5 Total P17 W2 D6 L9 F17 A28 P12 Win % 12% Unbelievably bad and would get 9 out of 10 managers the sack. Mr Bullsh1t does not have a home record and I would hope that someone smacks him in the face with these stats should he ever refer to it again. IMO, this loser, unless quickly removed, will take us down. You know it is even worse isn't it... Blackpool home draw undoubtedly came after Kean lost the dressing room at half time and the -players took over under Samba's leadership- nobody is arguing against that. There is a great deal of circumstantial pointing to the players having put their feelings to Kean in no uncertain terms and took over organising the tactics for Bolton home win, Man U home draw, West Ham away draw and Wolves away win at the end of last season. If Kean cannot be credited with those, his record overall reads: W3 D4 L12 and since February: W0 D3 L9 It is in view of that, I think we are likely to start this season with: W1 D1 L10 If Kean is not removed forthwith.
Glenn Posted September 4, 2011 Author Posted September 4, 2011 With regards the vote to back going up at the start, I predicted this some time ago. What happens with almost any vote on here, is those readers that are around every day and keep up do date on the news / gossip vote early and those the dip in and out and may not even be aware of the drink driving, getting stopped at customs, the allegations over how he got the job, the alleged Kalanic debarcle, etc (all of which, true or not, may influence people, even at a subconscious level) and just think he's a promising young manager who's had some bad luck (a shiver just went down my spine as I remembered Souness' "lady luck" excuse constantly towards the end of his tenure). Therefore, over time, the average view point of voters shifts towards people who have read less on here.

We also have to understand that the majority of the supporters do not know the things, mentioned on here, about Kean. Not every Rovers supporter comes onto this site. I think it would be fair to say that due to the fact that the majority of Rovers supporters do not come on here, are reeally ignorant of the facts.
ballboy Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 For some of us who grew up in the Eighties The Smiths were our Beatles - this is a (anti)homage to our beloved manager inspired by their song 'Unloveable': I know I'm unsackable you don't have to tell me I don't have much in my head But I’m blagging quite well I don't have much in my head But I’m winging it well I know I'm unbearable You don't have to tell me Oh, message received Loud and clear Loud and clear I don’t have much in my CV But in Pune I’m a God My position’s untenable You don't have to tell me For message received Loud and clear Loud and clear Message received You don't have much in your lives But I’m screwing you blind I talk sh*te in the pressers 'Cause sh*te is what fills up my brainspace I talk sh*te in the pressers 'Cause sh*te is what fills up my brainspace And if I seem a little drunk Well, that's because I am If I seem a little thick That's because I am But I know that you would sack me If only you could see through me If only you could meet me Oh ... You don't have much in your lives And you’ve even less now
ABBEY Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 The smiths were to music what Kean is to managing! ######!
mozsupportsrovers Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Are you an idiot Abbey? Clearly if you think the smiths weren't any good They were and still are one of, I'd argue, top 3 influential bands of all time. And that's fact not fiction Oh and great work ballboy. Thinking of one for hang the dj now

It was downright unfair to dump that talentless lump of excrement on the Rovers fans in the first place. Completely agree. Pretty outrageous to claim that sacking Kean after 9 months of record-breaking bad results, criminal charges and blatent lies to the press, is unfair. But then Kean is a 'gem', who does a great presser (does he?!) and has £50m to spend this window if you believe what The Mirror writes. Get him out Mrs D, it's not yet too late to turn this situation around with a proper manager in charge.
imy9 Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I am very happy with the news reported in The People. Shows that they are taking the fans views into account. Kean has his own squad and if he succeeds in the next couple of games- fair play, because it will mean that Rovers succeed, if not then he needs to go, Jones is a respected manager, as is Hughes either one would be fine with me. Edit: just read this on twitter from Glen... "Lose at Fulham and he is gone, Options for replacements have been in motion since March"
