Would anyone argue with the statement 'Steve Kean is the poorest manager in the Premier League'? It's not even a close contest to be honest.

corrected and NO could'nt possibly argue without looking mental and deluded like the man himself.

could anyone argue that steve kean is not the most undeserving appointment in premier league history?

Surely nobody could argue with that.

Les Reed at Charlton too, but then Charlton sacked him after a month and a half.

Mind you, maybe there weren't as many Charlton fans pleading for him to be "given more time" and to "assess him after a transfer window", since anyone with half a brain could see appointing him in the first place was a massive mistake.

Pont taken, tgm; easy to forget him.

Mind you, listening to the commentary on Norwich v. Sunderland at the moment, "Mrs Doubtfire" [the Sunderland manager] could also be on the podium in the competition for "Worst-ever PL Manager." He signs players, often Ferguson's fringe players, and then moves some of them on. Which speaks volumes about his scouting.

It could be a long, hard season for them, too.

Bolton will get out of it eventually, Wigan I'm not so sure about. Could be coming down with us, Martinez is trying to play a style that's nice to watch but in this league you don't win much that way.

Us, Wigan and Swansea IMO. Perhaps Norwich instead of Wigan depending on how much momentum Norwich can build and how well Lambert can adapt to the Premier League.

I have to admit I don't want to think about the unthinkable happening but unless the owners listen and get rid of this gimp we will be gone and just looking at the record books there are still a lot of teams who have been relegated before who have never made it back to the top flight inc: Swindon town 18 years absence, Wimbledon 12 yrs, sheff weds 12 yrs, Oldham Ath 18 yrs, Notts forest 13 years,Ipswich 10 yrs,Coventry 11 yrs, bradford 11 yrs,Barnsley 14 yrs. The point I'm making if we go down there are no guarantees we will bounce straight back and whenever those teams went down although faves to come back up it hasn't quite panned out that way and given the fact the last time we went down it took 2 seasons to get back up what if this time it took 10 seasons to get back this club would be royally finished & the only way to avoid the inevitable is make sure the manager is sacked and someone to come in who can keep us up & ensure we don't find ourselves in this position again otherwise we could become the new Barnsley hate to even contemplate it. Anyway the link below shows all the teams that have failed to make it back after long absences

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Premier_League_clubs

makes for grim reading so as fans we must do everything possible to avoid at all costs the unthinkable.

Time before last it took us what? 25 years but we are still here. BRFC will survive, in what league I don't know but we won't disappear. The plastic fan might but the hardcores will remain. That said, why take chances git rid of clown prince and his kiss arse sidekick. Let's have a proper footy manager in and avoid all this

If we are still 'in youch' by Xmas and replace steve Kean then we have... A chance!!

Believe it or not, there are people on here who think still being in touch at Christmas means he'd deserve more time - not to mention Venkys!

I hate not being able to fully enjoy your current plight and reading these threads, fearing as I do for our own survival in the Championship. How annoying if you do get relegated and we are not there to warmly welcome you :angry2:

You’d be able to hear the collective sighs of relief from the burnley fans should that happen, 30yrs+ and all that :tu:

If we go down we will lose Hoilett, Samba, Robbo, and many more and Im pretty sure we wont bounce back, unless we get a similar Souness-situation going.

It would be such a shame to be relegated and this season is looking like it will be a horrible and sad season for us.

Sack Kean NOW and we still have a chance!

We have alot of good players who will produce results with the right man in charge!

The problem is KEAN!

I'd rather have 2 chances every season to beat you, and lose them, than having to go 17 years between games. Every dog has its day - and if Kean remains in charge we'd have our best chance since the late 70's ;)

I was relieved to avoid burnley in the cup draw because of that mentioned above, after all look at the other undesireable records he's broken. However on the plus side if there is one thing that would turn the whole crowd against him forever then defeat to dingles would be it, every cloud an that !

I was thinking earlier about what players I'd genuinely miss should they leave when we're relegated... surprisingly very few. Olsson, Hoilett, Robbo... I think Nelsen would stay with us, ditto Hanley and probably Dunny as well. I don't really have any affinity with any other members of the team and would LOVE to see Roberts and Grella especially go. Samba wouldn't bother me either - great defender for us, but the way he's conducted himself off the pitch the last 18 months or so has ruined most of the respect I had for him. He's only here because Arsenal and other clubs wouldn't stump up the cash for him - he desperately wanted to leave and has done for some time.

I obviously don't want us to get relegated (even though I'm fairly certain we will this season) but there aren't many players who are here now and would leave us that would bother me. Guess that's just how the modern game is, though.

Is it possible to stick a vote on this topic as the result of this one Is likely to have more bearing on venkys need to act fast.

I am 100% sure we will go this season if kean gets a few more games

if we were to appoint anyone else at all I'd say we have half a chance at least

rock bottom and 8 or 9 points adrift is how I see the season going with this stereotypical Scottish alcoholic loser

in charge

Would anyone take a Cup defeat to Burnley is it was the only thing that would guarantee Kean being removed?

is that hypothetical or are you thinking along the lines of if we bluff our way through against the toon and the clarets get through in the cup and we are drawn together? Either way he has to go asap and I'll say it if no one else will. I'll take a one nil home defeat to them if it rids our club of him.

I fear it could already be too late and we are already doomed.

Kean will not get the results we need away at Swansea and QPR, we will get marmalised by Spurs and Chelsea and that horrible start against beatable opposition will be decisive in sending us down.

Hypothetical but it's possible we could meet. It's like the ultimate quandary...

Norwich before Swansea, Philip.

Bolton getting ripped apart by chelsea is good news for rovers. 7 games into the season and we are already looking at the results of teams at the bottom of the table.

Indeed. Now we just need two other drop-out teams (again).

Having said that I remember looking at Bolton's first 8 games thinking how dreadful it was. They will have a chance to get out of it and getting some momentum during the middle part of the season. So we probably still need three...
