walk down bolton road Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 The results at Anfield and Old Trafford are certainly looking like the final twitches of life,of a man being hung from the gallows. God how i hate and despise you Kean and Venkys.

Audax Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Well, the chap who said this is a 5 club relegation mini-league is in fact, correct, so if you look at it in such a game to game way and simple way at this point. 14-15-16 Jan. Rovers Fulham Hotspurs Wolves Man Utd. Bolton Newcastle QPR Wigan Man City (With luck, this has to be Rovers winning and each of the rest would be odds to lose) 21-22-23 Jan. Everton Rovers QPR Wigan Wolves Villa Bolton Liverpool (Wolves will know they need to win their game and can probably draw Villa at least) 31 Jan. 1 Feb Spurs Wigan Wolves Liverpool Bolton Arsenal Villa QPR Rovers Newcastle Of course, other clubs could be drawn into this fight but these 5 are at least 5 points behind the next higher club, West Brom at 22. This is also a 3 game "soft" patch for Rovers before meeting Arsenal, then QPR and then Man City really looking down the road but it's definitely win the next game, forget this other.
Paul Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Bottom again. Magnificent results at Christmas, if only we could have beaten Bolton, WBA or Stoke we would be 16th this morning. What a terrible waste
John Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 STEVE Kean has assured fans that there is absolutely no chance Blackburn Rovers will be relegated this season as they prepare for their crunch clash with Wigan on the first anniversary of the clubs takeover by Venkys. Kean has insisted that his sides performances so far this term have shown that Rovers have too much ability to go down. We wont get relegated, absolutely no chance, the Scot said, with a succinctness that suggested he had no doubts in his mind.
neophox Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 I have to say after watching Everton - Bolton, Everton look really poor under Moyes and there were boooing in the end of the game wanting Moyes out. If Everton doesn't make some signing they could be in real trouble. Bolton looked poor but Everton was depressing, no gameplan at all and looked like Rovers....
Devon Rover Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 STEVE Kean has assured fans that there is ‘absolutely no chance’ Blackburn Rovers will be relegated this season as they prepare for their crunch clash with Wigan on the first anniversary of the club’s takeover by Venky’s. Kean has insisted that his side’s performances so far this term have shown that Rovers have too much ability to go down. “We won’t get relegated, absolutely no chance,” the Scot said, with a succinctness that suggested he had no doubts in his mind. He showed himself up as an idiot when he made that statement and he looks even more stupid for saying it now that we are still bottom with more than half the season played. I still think we can stay up but the odds aren't great- and they are worsened whilst Kean remains in charge.

This just reminded me how insane the fans of other teams are compared to ours. They want Moyes out because of the boring football, despite him securing how many 5th place finishes in the last couple of years? Completely bonkers. I hope they sack Moyes and appoint 'positive' Kean. Football is getting madder every year...

Many of them on here wanted Sam out for the same reasons you state above. “We won’t get relegated, absolutely no chance,” the Scot said, with a succinctness that suggested he had no doubts in his mind. Reporters should remind Kean of that quote at every press briefing.

rog of the rovers Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 It seems pretty obvious to me that the teams involved in the scrap come April/May will be the current bottom 5. 16. Wolves 17. QPR ----------------- 18. Bolton 19. Wigan 20. Blackburn Plus Norwich and Swansea. The aim for the rest of the season has to be, to win this mini league. 3 away - Wolves, Bolton, Swansea 3 home - QPR, Wigan, Norwich Realistically to have any chance we need to go unbeaten in 5 out of 6 of those games plus pick up points from Fulham (h), WBA (a) and Villa (h) A tall order indeed, but its amazing that we even have a glimmer going into the second half of the year. Proof that the gap in the Premier League between even the upper mid table sides (e.g. Stoke, Everton, Newcastle) and the lower end is big, never mind the top 6! For the optimists amongst us, after 20 games last season Fulham were 18th on 19 points. They ended the year in 8th with 49 points. Conversely, Blackpool had 28 points after 20 games and ended the year in 19th on 39 points.
onlyonejackwalker Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Back to the bottom of the league following Bolton's win last night. The likes of QPR, Wigan, Swansea, Norwich, West Brom, etc all deservedly above us. Failure to win enough home games has cost us dearly. Dreading the transfer window as we sell our best players and replace with lesser quality cheaper options. Depressing and totally unneccesary state of affairs.
jim mk2 Posted January 5, 2012 Author Posted January 5, 2012 Thanks for that Topman. Tell me, as one of Sam's detractors and a Stevie luvvie, how highly do you rate your IQ ?
Miker Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 And you think some of our fans would pass an intelligence test ? Many of them on here wanted Sam out for the same reasons you state above. To be fair, wanting Moyes out and wanting Allardyce out are vastly different. Moyes has been there for years and has consistently overachieved. Allardyce came from a rival club and was only here for one full season. So wanting Allardyce out is stupid maybe, but wanting Moyes out is just insanity. I just don't get it...
Amo Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Thanks for that Topman. Tell me, as one of Sam's detractors and a Stevie luvvie, how highly do you rate your IQ ? Aristotle-esque.
BuckyRover Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Aristotle-esque. My IQ is up there with Paul Dirac or Alan Turing. That kind of ballpark.
Amo Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 My IQ is up there with Paul Dirac or Alan Turing. That kind of ballpark. Not bad for a "Steve luvvie", I must say.
david_daft Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Almost humerous to recall people criticised Allardyces record against the big clubs whilst in charge of Rovers cos he usually managed to come out on top against our relegation rivals. Rem the chorus of boos harking back to the Old Trafford massacre started whilst 3-0 up and cruising to a comfortable win over close rivals Wolves the game after? Forgotten were the 3 wins from 4 matches before the OT debacle. I'd suggest replacing all the food on the Blackburn End concourse for the last game of the season with large portions of cold Humble Pie.... assuming there is anybody there to eat it of course. ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz
david_daft Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 He's right though. Quite possibly, if BFS and the imposter were the only two options.

I agree about yesterday but they are up there for a reason, 11th currently. 23 points. With earlier season form he was getting a lot of boos and Toffees did lose a lot. http://www.soccerway.com/news/2012/January/05/moyes-slams-out-of-touch-everton/
phili Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Quite possibly, if BFS and the imposter were the only two options. True, Maradona was the other option. You have to remember JA was running the show behind the scenes at that point, so no top manager would have been appointed etc.

That kind of ballpark. Really bucky? You must be ever so modest to keep it so well disguised I must say. ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz Great post david daft. You are obviously another with a top IQ. All I can say is that if you lot are clever then I'm glad to be thick. Quite possibly, if BFS and the imposter were the only two options. Obviously they are. Time has confirmed that. Rem the Venkeys have the say in the matter not you nor anybody else no matter how clever you think you are.
