Backroom Tom Posted January 21, 2012 Backroom Posted January 21, 2012 Wolves, QPR and west brom winning and rovers losing is as bad as it could be so far. Soon the 3 north west teams will be stranded I fear

Audax Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Fulham is massacreeing Newcastle 4-1, egads, the scores are falling against us and at the least, looks like we will be odd man out...after this weekend,
Backroom Tom Posted January 21, 2012 Backroom Posted January 21, 2012 Could do with villa helping us out today as wolves are our only hope I feel
Backroom Tom Posted January 21, 2012 Backroom Posted January 21, 2012 I'll be honest even though some teams above us won in fulham and WBA and QPR won I feel a bit better that we are above wolves instead of QPR Today could have been better but was nearly a lot worse
rovers11 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Wolves 2 Villa 3 Awful day for Wolves. They have liverpool next as well. Expected Qpr to win. West Brom was a surprise. Still out of bottom 3 which I didnt expect before today so all round pretty decent day for us.
Emge Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 With Hughes coming in as manager for QPR, I see it as very unlikely that they will be near the relegation zone at the end of the season. Our relegation rivals now are Bolton and Wigan obviously as well as Wolves but possibly even Swansea and West Brom too. Im very surprised to see us above relegation after some much rubbish all season, but to be fair we have actually played some good preformances lately. Maybe there is some kind of hope?
Hasta Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Bolton currently 2-1 up at half time against Liverpool. I think I have now slipped into 'second half of the season' mentality when you start nervously watching the games that affect Rovers.
Kamy100 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I think that 36 points may well be enough to stay up this season. Newcastle and QPR home games are crucial for Rovers.
hesfromburn Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Hope liverpool secure at least a draw here
Backroom Tom Posted January 21, 2012 Backroom Posted January 21, 2012 Bugger just as we got comfy for the weekend Liverpool look like messing up 3-1 this is just typical
hesfromburn Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 With the money liverpool have spent over the last year especially compared to clubs like Bolton and us they have been awful really. Having suarez out if I was a liverpool fan is not a valid enough excuse for a club like that. Our result againt bolton could come back to haunt us.
Mattyblue Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 With the money liverpool have spent over the last year especially compared to clubs like Bolton and us they have been awful really. Having suarez out if I was a liverpool fan is not a valid enough excuse for a club like that. Our result againt bolton could come back to haunt us. Downing, Henderson, Adam, Caroll, about £80 million they cost! Good grief.
Stuart Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Downing, Henderson, Adam, Caroll, about £80 million they cost! Good grief. Just shows how overpriced British 'talent' remains. Probably why we've not signed A Johnson and gone for A Modest instead. I don't suppose you really need A Johnson when you've got a Goodwillie though.
hesfromburn Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Downing, Henderson, Adam, Caroll, about £80 million they cost! Good grief. Bloody Hell!! Id argue all of them are top 10 maube lucky to get europe every few years team quality players with either a 6th place or a cup run, not a consitant top 6 challangers and definatly not worth anywhere near £80 million - shocking!
Hasta Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Caroll was absolutely awful there. Looked non-league.
hesfromburn Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Liverpool looked awful that was one of the worst performances from a team I have seen (and we have kean's performances!) Looked like they had never played together before.
rovers11 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Oh well. Bolton won. Overall, still a pretty good day for us. Thought we'd lose, bolton would lose, and wigan would lose and qpr n wolves would win. That would have left us 3 adrift. And at half time today it looked like that would be the case.
thenodrog Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Kenny can do no wrong. Nor Stevie. Return of the Spice boys.
Backroom DE. Posted January 21, 2012 Backroom Posted January 21, 2012 Liverpool are pretty horrific on the other hand we can hardly complain, considering we beat Utd at Old Trafford and also took a point off Liverpool. We are where we deserve to be - losing to Bolton and WBA at home proves that.
Kamy100 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Bolton's result shouldn't take anything away from a good point at Goodison for Rovers. We just need to concentrate on our performances, I felt that we were dead and buried after the Bolton home game, at least now we are back in with a fighting chance. Newcastle and QPR home games are crucial.
MarkBRFC Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Everyone wanted 6 points from wba & bolton. To expect 6 points from qpr & newcastle is rediculous because it wont happern. 3 points from the two is most likely.
Barnesy Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Three points will probably do if they are against QPR it keeps them with us-our away form is picking up. I suggest its quite possible to get wins at WBA, Bolton and Wolves if we play the passing game we did today. Petrovic had his best half for us then disappeared in the second; Dunn enjoye dhis free role again whilst our pace (Hoilet, Olson and Lowe) kept Everton wary. Come on U blues.
