Wigan and wolves both lose tonight with Bolton and QPR playing tomorrow night, Bolton seem our only real chance of overtaking anyone

Barring a massive turnaround it's now any 3 from 3 for the long drop Tom.

I know it was bitterly cold but even the fans objections are fading now I notice. We are beaten both as a team and as a group of supporters.

Because we have no money and neither our owners nor our manager really have any idea what they're doing.

I've also been convinced for some time we were going to be relegated. Losing 2-1 at home to Wolves on the opening day of the season set the precedent for what has been a woeful season thus far.

Was shocked to open the Newcastle thread and see people predicting we'd win. How anybody can have any faith that we'll win a match with Kean in charge is genuinely beyond me. Either blind hope or sheer idiocy.

The only question remaining is whether he'll still be in charge to take us down to League 1?

I fairness NUFC gave the worst performance of any away team that I have seen at Ewood this season. They really are punching miles above their weight.

Obviously from his quote, he was going to be the man to keep us up this year ! *cough*

Incidentally, I actually don't disagree with his quote if its aimed at management transfer dealings - it's just that he's kidding himself if he thought he was ever going to have a big role to play.

Lets see how he does at the Baggies I spose.

1. Incredibly Reids still doing a passable job for them remember and he's poor. They must have one hell of a physio there cos he seems bomb proof these days.

2. They have been above us all season.

Worse squad better manager can be the only conclusion.... and we all know Woy's no Mark or Sam is he?

Well, lets face it.

We're getting nothing on Saturday at Arsenal, they haven't won in the league yet this year, need i say anymore?

Can see QPR beating Wolves, which will put them 6 points clear of us with them coming to Ewood next, i'm guessing they would settle for a point against us.

We have to hope Norwich will beat Bolton or we could be 5 points adrift from anyone come Saturday evening.

Was last night our last real chance to get out of this mess?

already hoping teams do us favours is not a good situation to be in. The writing is on the wall. I came to terms with relegation when we had a couple of reasonable results at Anfield and O/T then miserably lost to Stoke with a dire performance. Its already been touched on that the atmosphere last night almost felt like one of resignation that we are down.

Think so. Yak is our ONLY hope. I've a feeling that even with Roberts up top we'd have won last night. With Kalinic even more likely. Only 90 mins to go on but the only recent striker as inept as Modeste is Di Santo and he's at a club thats going down with us.

To have a chance of staying up we need around 20 points from 15 games, not a chance ;)

If the idiots in Pune had made a change before Christmas and got MO'N or Hughes in we'd have survived, but that boat sailed, along with around 6-7000 fans that won't watch us in the championship next season.

Kean and fans cannot blame bad luck for our plight which is down to his poor management and coaching. Setting up the team with no midfield defensive cover down the right or signing the wrong players and failing to address the real weaknesses in the team is not bad luck but ineptitude on the part of the manager. There is talent in this Rovers team but Kean has no idea how to set it up properly to stop conceding goals. The writing was on the wall from the start of the season when we capitulated at home to a very weak Wolves team. Last night showed nothing really has changed.

Thing is 'Drog, even when we play well we still tend to lose. It's not like we have a good home record either - 9 losses out of 12, embarrassing. As long as Steve Kean is our manager predicting a win against any team in this division is foolhardy.

GAV, there is no way in the world those 2 would have come to Ewood. Football people talk and know what is going on at Ewood and how the club is being mismanaged. Hughes and O'Neill would never have agreed to make trips to India or come to a club with no money to spend. Why would they ?

It goes without saying the "the idiots in Pune" should have left the previous manager in charge.

What do you care? Stop bleating cos you got your wish last year. No doubt you are busily scrubbing your hands more than Pontious Pilate at the moment cos you said time and again that if we'd stayed as we were mid table and playing Prem football under Allardyce and the Trust that you (and all your wise mates on the Bburn End) were going to pack up anyway. You got your way so how do you like life after Sam and the Trust GAV? Just goes to shown that there really is no pleasing some people is there?

You're right Jim, I should have said, any right minded owners wold have gone for Hughes or MO'N...

Allardyce is always going to be brought up, though at the end of the day the fans had no involvement whatsoever in his departure. It was the owners that made that decision, if you feel so upset about Allardyce leaving then it's them you should be blaming not fans.

On to the subject of relegation I thought we were certs to go down before christmas and were on course to get relegated probably a month before the season ends. It's now looking that it will likely go to the final few games maybe even the final one like it did last season.

If the points total required ends up being 40 then Rovers have no chance imo, 22 points from 15 games looks impossible. For survival it looks like Rovers have to rely on sides around us producing mixed form so that the points total is a lot lower, but even then Rovers will have to win those matchups against those teams around us.

Certain people with certain agendas and ambitions reportedly told the owners that Sam wasn't popular with the fans - which he wasn't with a tiny minority. There's a section of "fans" who have alot to answer for. Charlton syndrome I call it.

Our home form will send us down unless we win the corresponding away matches but to be honest I think we're all clutching at straws and we don't deserve to stay up.

It wouldn't suprise me if they thought that sacking Sam was their "gift" to us. You know replacing that negative stuff that got us points to the awful attempt of total football that we attempt to play now. Thanks Fagan...I won't be asking for more...

Absolute bunkum.

The fans played no part whatsoever in the sacking of Allardyce, to think otherwise is just plain silly.

Really ? According to reports a certain agent and ambitious would-be manager told Mrs Desai that Sam was unpopular. I wonder where they got that from ?

Looking forward to your book GAV: Blackburn Rovers, My Part In Its Downfall

I think you might have answered that question yourself Jim.

There is nothing to suggest that fans were involved in Sam's departure as there was no protests or media coverage calling for that so how would the owners know that some fans thought there was an opportunity to make a change? Also we have seen plenty of protests against Kean and he remains in the job, so this so called fan influence clearly is being overrated when it comes to Venky's decision making process.

If Rovers get relegated this season it's down to the owners, manager and players not the fans.

Need to remember that they were missing Tiote & Cabaye from central midfield and Ba up front - three players who would walk into most PL teams.

Yes they were poor last night, but we lost 2 nil - that is the feckin frightening issue.
