I think you have answered that question yourself Jim.

There is nothing to suggest that fans were involved in Sam's departure as there was no protests or media coverage calling for that so how would the owners know that some fans thought there was an opportunity to make a change? Also we have seen plenty of protests against Kean and he remains in the job, so this so called fan influence clearly is being overrated when it comes to Venky's decision making process.

If Rovers get relegated this season it's down to the owners, manager and players not the fans.

Of course fans are not responsible if we get relegated - that will be down to the manager only.

It's been well documented however that those advising Desai after the takeover told her about the undercurrent against Sam among a section of fans on the internet and in pubs and clubs around the town. I havebeen in pubs when Rovers fans were booing Sam when he was interviewed on TV ! It is not wrong to say that fans may have influenced the sacking of Sam Allardyce.

I just hope they are happy now they got what they wished for.

Kean and fans cannot blame bad luck for our plight which is down to his poor management and coaching. Setting up the team with no midfield defensive cover down the right or signing the wrong players and failing to address the real weaknesses in the team is not bad luck but ineptitude on the part of the manager. There is talent in this Rovers team but Kean has no idea how to set it up properly to stop conceding goals. The writing was on the wall from the start of the season when we capitulated at home to a very weak Wolves team. Last night showed nothing really has changed.

MGP played on the right of midfield - giving Loew far more cover than Hoilett ever did. We rarely looked like conceding last night - until we had to push up in search of the equaliser.

Things have changed - and I think we do look more solid - but it has taken 12 months to get to this point - when for most managers it would have been sorted pre-season.

I actually think that either 35 or 36 points might just be enough.

That means that we need say 18 more points.

Remaining fixtures and my forecast:

Arsenal A 0

QPR H 1

City A 0

Villa H 3

Wolves A 1

Sunderlanfd H 1

Bolton A 1

United H 0

WBA A 0

Liverpool H 1

Swansea A 0

Norwich H 3

Spurs A 0

Wigan H 3

Chelsea A 0

That takes us to 32 points and relegation.

Think this illustrates the enormity of our task.

So why does she continue with Kean, when 90%+ want rid and the amount hatred which must be spouted in his direction goes way beyond anything Allardyce would have got?

The Pune 11 claimed the owners had an internet guy who reported back whats said across the media and messageboards? The owners must be aware that the majority of fans want rid, we even stage protests against the clown.

No one went as far as to protest against Sam (as far as i am aware) either.

As if it's the fans' fault for getting Allardyce sacked? FFS...

There was a minority that wanted him gone, granted, but they didn't make the decision to sack him, nor wanted him replaced with a first-team coach either.

Exactly davulsukur.

To claim the fans played any part in his sacking is a stupid arguement that doesn't even deserve to be discussed frankly.

Really ? According to reports a certain agent and ambitious would-be manager told Mrs Desai that Sam was unpopular. I wonder where they got that from ?

Looking forward to your book GAV: Blackburn Rovers, My Part In Its Downfall

Hi. My name is Steve Kean and I have borrowed Hasta's account. Here are my predictions for the rest of the season.

Arsenal A 1

QPR H 3

City A 3

Villa H 3

Wolves A 3

Sunderlanfd H 3

Bolton A 3

United H 3

WBA A 3

Liverpool H 0

Swansea A 3

Norwich H 3

Spurs A 3

Wigan H 3

Chelsea A 3

As you can see once the new star signings settle after the Arsenal game we will be fine. I am absolutely sure of that.

This leaves us on 58 points and comfortably top half as I have been saying all along. This will alllow us to attract Marquee signings in the summer.

I will be frustrated at the Liverpool defeat but I am sure we will win the corner count and the 'scrambles from long free kicks' count.

Sit back and enjoy. I'm off to uncle Jerome's to drink a glass of coke with a strange tasting clear liquid added to it. Driver where art thou.

I usually agree with you Jim but I can't on this occasion.

They got rid of Sam Allardyce because they wanted a lower rent yes man and there just happened to be one waiting in the wings who was being looked after by the man who helped them take over the club.

All this bullshine about playing better football is just a smokescreen. As is the bullshine about them thinking he was unpopular. Kean's the most unpopular manager in BRFC history, a manager who wouldn't be in the position at any other club, but yet they stick with him.

Seems logical (in venkys terms) that they keep kean as he costs alot less than a proper manager.

Presumably they bought the club but wanted to put as little cash in a possible while gaining as much exposure for their other business as they could. They have cut every possible member of staff in order to just about keep Rovers going and run things from Pune in a total shambles. Keeping Kean in charge, generally not caring about results, and just hoping he keeps us in the league while on a low wage (compared to a established/experienced manager)

They are trying to reduce costs drastically and make Rovers more self sufficient (Is that even possible?) so it costs them nothing/very little to run. As a result we obviously suffer drastically on and off the field, which is only going to lead to relegation.

God knows what they will do if we are relegated.

Just my thoughts anyway.

When was the last time they actually went to Ewood Park on a matchday?

P7 W3 D3 L1

"With the players who have left and the players who have come in, the club is going in one direction and that's down" !

Sour grapes from Keith ? Maybe, but it is difficult to argue with this. The transfer window was an opportunity for Kean and Venky's to try to arrest the slide but one they negligently failed to take.

Might has well close this thread now, we're doomed. Anybody want to bet we stay up ? What odds are the bookies offering ? I was half way to backing us go down in August but I couldn't bring myself to do it. It would have paid for a good wake when the day finally comes around though.

Funny you should say that; if we do go down I might be able to buy the club with my winnings. Some things in life just stare you in the face.

Exactly.

Wolves 3-0 and the booing must have been sweet music in the ears of Dastardly and Muttley. Comments on internet message boards (tracked by the venkeys people we are told) will have provided bullets ready to be fired. Wash your hands of it all you like Gav but you wont wash away the stains of blame.

Trying to put the blame for Allardyces sacking at the doorstep of the fans shows a complete lack of understanding of all matters football related, and as I said a few pages back, frankly it’s not even worth discussing.

'Wasn't me Miss, wasn't my fault'. <_<

Gav just man up and accept your share of the blame. It certainly wasn't me, Jim, Den etc etc.

Please enlighten me on your all-seeing knowledge of "all matters football related" when you and others were calling for the dismissal of a very good manager and proudly proclaiming that you would not be attending matches while he was in charge.
