rigger you seriously think west brom will go down when they are about 8 or 9 points clear of us? was that tongue-in-cheek or are you just thick?

Bolton Wanderers, I have not got my tongue in my cheek, neither am I (as you so elegantly put it) thick.

Pains me to say this, but you look at that performance today and you have to say we are Championship class at very best.

Our players can not compete consistently, midfield looks non existent, took us a full 90 mins to get a corner today.

I know it was Arsenal away. Even under Hughes we got stuffed there, but his team and his staff would make sure the next performance wiped any memory of a heavy defeat out.

Kean and his staff can not and will not have the same effect.

Maybe it's best to take a step back, ie relegation, so we may build again.

Looks to me that we had the confidence knocked out of us mid-week and the its gone. If you lose when you know you've dominated the game, what self-belief remains?

Andrews has told us publicly what a circus Ewood now is. Players have lost it. Big exodus in summer I'd think of anyone with ability.

Some have said we're going down for months but with the events this week, you've got to say the writings on the wall, I'm an optimist, it is a 38 match season but this has been very sobering, the games vs. Newcastle and Arsenal, it feels like the last chance saloon. Extremely frustrating but the good showings vs. Liverpool, Man Utd. also served to get the hopes up. Just have to struggle on.

The plea of a desperate man.

Don't turn this onto the protesters. We're sinking without a trace regardless of whether there's protests or not. Better to accept that we're done for, Paul, instead of this naive belief that Kean's gonna turn it around.

Err excuse me but where have I either blamed the protestors or suggested Kean will turn it around.

My point is protest has achieved little so let's just concentrate on winning. For all BRAG say its outside the ground it isn't -BRAG supporters protested in the ground against Newcastle.

Even if by some miracle we do finish top of this 4-team league of awfulness and get another year in the premiership, what do we have to look forward to? Another year of Kean's lies? Another year of selling our good players and bringing in sub-standard replacements? Another year of seeing the Blackburn Rovers name poisoned by Venky's and their puppet Stevie Kean? Another year of losing most of our home matches and sneaking random freak wins? Another year of protests and further fractures in the fanbase?

I don't think there's a happy ending to this tale.

Well said. Not much to add, I thought, I thought I'd seen enough relegation fights but this one takes the cake, the club lacks aim and clearcut goals. And that lack of aim and clearcut goals would also be in the C-ship league, just the way it seems.

Goal differential has been blown to pieces so now that's a concern, GD is 3 goals worse than anyone outside of the drop zone, being one of two teams not to clear 20 total points in the table so far in the season, it's kind of depressing, one almost stops watching just to avoid the punishment. Still, any team that can put together a half decent run of games could still get back into it. You'd think after a team is absolutely humbled like this, they'd strike back in the next game, even Arsenal got ripped big time by Man Utd. early in the season.

Where? All I heard was a little bit of 'Venky's out' from the Darwen End, and who can blame them.

There were black and yellow banners at the front of the Darwen End. I couldn't read what they said as I was too far away.

Had absolutely no effect on the result though, did it?

I probably agree with you though Paul, for me there is little point in organising anything on a matchday from now on, I can sense my own anger brewing again, so I assume many will react accordingly if we get beat next week.

Yes me too. I was angry against City and Bolton. The anger is more at the disappointment of all that is happening than the defeats. I haven't felt that recently but I'm beginning to feel that way again. I'm not sure but I think it's because we still have a chance. For all I have felt we are as good as relegated there is still a chance, I had given up hoping and believing but when I look at the table and see we could climb out of the bottom three with a two goal victory all the feeling I have for the club comes back.

I'm very unhappy with everything I see around the club and I want it to stop. Ideally it will stop because we get new owners but that isn't going to happen for the moment. Right now I need to feel the unbridled joy we had at Wolves, I want to walk out the ground and hug the first fan I see - apologies to the person at Molyneux last May! - and we could still do it. Beating QPR will be a start, probably the last chance.

People saying we are down already are wrong. Us, wigan, bolton & wolves are as bad as each other IMO. I can quite easily see us all still fighting for that last survival spot in May.

I agree it will be those four teams battling it out. Our record under Venky's and Kean are why people are so (rightfully) pessimistic though. We rely heavily on our best players being fit, we can't afford Yak and Givet to get themselves stupidly sent off. Samba needs to stop sulking and get back into the team, one final push big buy!

ok fair enough rigger, shouldnt have said thick, im just in a bad mood but i really dont think you can make a judgement on who is going down after today's results, wolves are on the up and rovers are on the ropes!!!

Totally agree, but I am grasping at any straws available.

Exactly my opinion and why I predicted yesterday to be 6-1. Obviously I was wrong..

Frimpong returned to Arsenal, after damaging anterior cruciate knee ligaments, sorry for the lad but a bonus ball for clubs in the battle.

Definitely good news for us. Hopefully it'll mean Karl Henry will play more...

How unlucky has he been in a matter of weeks? First that bad eye injury, now a cruciate. Probably an indication of his style of play really, he'll need to learn to tone it down or he won't have a very long career.

The writing is on the wall now, I didnt expect a win at arsenal but the performance was awful. To come back from that would require character and

self belief both of which we are sadly lacking,we are also not very good at home so the omens arent good. Whilst I would prefer to be positive it

is very difficult at the moment when you take everything into account. I fear that we are running out of time to avoid relegation there is too much

against us, with these owners we are in serious trouble they are dangerously incompetent and extremely bad news for the future. To sit back in india

and do nothing for us is inexcusable, they should be ashamed of themselves. We need to prepare as best we can for relegation and hope for the best.

I doubt it will go to the last game unfortunately.
