Poita
I'm sorry in advance if someone has already mentioned this in a previous post's/ topics, i just don't have time to read all posts. Is it possible that Dunn, roberts and MGP got picked first by the owners due to marketing that ###### commercial??? They are the face of rover's/venky's on that chicken commercial within india. Any thoughts?? I also overheard someone say via Twitter yesterday one of our youth team guys said the owners had a influence on selection.

Amo
Even with everything going on at the club, I think that's a stretch. Kean's pretty chummy with Roberts & Dunn, and Pedersen probably played 'cos he scored the other week. Kean only seems to drop goalscorers if they're young and have something to prove. I know it's a far stretch. But with everything happening i wouldn't be surprised. It just seemed a very odd team selection. i certainly hope i am wrong. Is it Dunn and Roberts who have weekly "committee" meetings with Kean to discuss the team selection and training schedules. I think Kean talked about that last season. Another disgraceful state of affairs...
braddock
I would imagine they started because playing against Everton usually requires a little experience on the park. Turns out they weren't required after they had left the game, but had we had the youngsters on and conceded an early goal it would have been interesting to see how those who had started had reacted to that. We'd also now be questioning why he played so many youngsters.
Mattyblue
It's a balance between experience and youth, but Dunn, MGP and Roberts are now busted flushes at this level. Is the answer playing kids in their positions? Ideally no, but I just cannot see us winning matches with those 3 as regular starters.
Andy
There is some substance to this - yesterday Jadan Hall (Academy youngster) Tweeted just after the match, revealing that Kean doesn't pick the side, Venky's do. It was obviously taken down with a swift apology shortly afterwards - it was mentioned in one of the threads on here, probably the Kean Out one. Not surprising at all and just emphasises the need for change, and quickly.
chris
I thought Dunn was playing well up until he got injured Pedersen scored last week. I don't understand Roberts, hate seeing him in the team.

I wouldn't call a kid on a wind-up as 'substance'. Besides, if Venky's were picking the team, and Venky's are in JA's pocket, surely Myles would be playing? It would be an 100% guarantee that he is on a meal ticket for being on the payrol without any ability at all!!
ABBEY
If the V's do have influence on team selection then any man with ANY pride or integrity would resign and tell the media what's going on....oh wait the lying SOB wont do that!
Roverdale
Roberts contributes absolutely nothing. He had chances to run off his man during our counter attacks against Everton and he seemed to hug his marker constantly and never looked like he wanted the ball. He was put through on goal in the box second half and basically fell over his own feet. I don't care how young or inexperienced Goodwillie is but he CAN'T be worse. He looked good when he came on and admittedly I haven't seen much of him but he has to offer more than Roberts. How many games does Roberts have to play crap in before he gets dropped its ridiculous. Formica doesn't start? Okay Kean.. great decision you bell end. When he came on he looked class.. definitely one of our best players. Also Rochina scores twice and gets dropped? Really? I know it's Sheff Weds but his confidence would have been sky high and he would really want to show he can do it at Prem level. With goalscorers they need runs in the team to maintain confidence and form.. dropping one after a brace is just stupid. Likewise with Goodwillie. It isn't working with the old busted players in the team.. we have ZERO points we've got nothing to lose. He may as well try switching it up and play some of these new players he's signed. If they're not good enough why the hell did he sign them!? Kean out.. joke of a manager.

Roversi
Never have i been more fustrated at a striker at our club than Jason Roberts. his record throughout his career speaks for itself, 203 prem games and 36 goals. thats awful, really really awful. how can you play at this level when you clearly cant score goals at this level. nice guy, but has been a championship player all his career and has been very very lucky to stay at this level for so long. Sverre
This might be slightly off topic, but how do you guys see our squad being arranged in the coming matches? (I wrote a similar post in the formica thread) If I remember correctly we fielded a 4-4-1-1 or a 4-5-1 squad against Everton. Robbo Salgado, Samba, Givet, Olsson Emerton, Nzonzi, Pedersen, Hoilett Dunn Roberts seeing as Pedersen and Dunn are injured and Emo is back down under Robbo Salgado/Ribeiro, Samba, Nelsen/Givet, Olsson Vukcevic, Nzonzi, Petrovic, Hoilett Formica/rochina Goodwillie Would be my preferred first eleven. For the next match I would select Formica ahead of Rochina, and possibly substituting Formica with Rochina in the second half. I still can't believe Ribeiro didn't get a shot against Sheffield Wednesday. With Salgado arguably being our weakest link it was essential to try out our alternative, being Ribeiro to see how he coped. While Rochina's techinal ability is extremely high, Formica is a workhorse, sets up play, and seems to be highly involved in chances created, which was evident against Everton. Rochina has enormous potential though. I just hope we stay in the league so that he can flourish in the coming years!
