Paul Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Next Accounts Due: 31/12/2011 OVERDUE Interestin bit, Accounts not been files and overdue, thats a fine To be fair Glen the 31st was a Saturday followed by Sunday and a public holiday. There is nothing to suggest the accounts haven't been filed and are awaiting action by Companies House. Most filings are electronic these days but I guess CP still look them over before publication.
67splitscreen Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Late filling is not going too worry anyone. Upto 1 month £750, More than one but not three £1500 over three £3000. Something you wish to hide for a few months, cheap price to pay.

With a new company (Venkys London) couldnt they extend the first accounting year to 18 months?
Paul Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 With a new company (Venkys London) couldnt they extend the first accounting year to 18 months? I can't think of any reason for this in Rovers case. The accounts have been prepared, the losses are as reported in the LT and I'm sure the only reason they haven't been filed is the way the dates have fallen this year. It was probably similar under the Trust but no one was interested to look!
den Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Roberts admits to being frozen out at Blackburn Rovers Now Roberts claims will further concerns among Rovers fans about the club’s financial position, with two experienced players not available for selection at a time when they are lacking just that. More lies from Kean.

More lies from Kean. But if those two played and were rewarded new deals, we'd be saying what a waste of money it is. And have we really missed Roberts & Salgado?
den Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 But if those two played and were rewarded new deals, we'd be saying what a waste of money it is. And have we really missed Roberts & Salgado? The point of me putting this in the "our debt" thread, is because it doesn't suggest the finances are as good and proper as Miker tells us.
Devon Rover Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Roberts seemingly on his way out of the club doesn't bother me particularly but its the apparant lies that Kean spins (quite possibly by the order of the owners) that really gets me. If he just came out and said that Salgado and Roberts are not being selected for contractual reasons then I would have more respect for Kean and the rest of the hierarchy. But its the constant bull and lack of respect for the supporters' intelligence which makes me so sick of the whole regime. Thanks Jason and Michel Salgado, you've been good professionals for the club and its a shame you are having to speak out in order to set straight the record that has been seemingly twisted by others within the club. What a farce.
Amo Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 The point of me putting this in the "our debt" thread, is because it doesn't suggest the finances are as good and proper as Miker tells us. Oh, I don't dispute that. But even if they were, I'd understand leaving them out. Probably why Grella hasn't played his customary 10 minutes this season, too.
Beta Ray Bill Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I don't think the contract clauses are linked to the finance issues directly, Den. What it says is that the extensions given and clauses inserted are seen as a mistake and I doubt many fans would disagree with that. It would be a gamble to play the two concerned and saddle the club with more costs and longer deadwood contracts which may be in the Championship. If we were mid table with better chances of staying up, it wouldn't be as bad. I guess Kean and the owners are making a calculated gamble that what they offer to the club at this difficult time can be matched (bettered?) by others. We can't easily guess if that gamble is a good one but we've got to hope that Yak and Lowe stay fit and on form!
Rovers_786 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Venkys have you not paid this loan off yet please sell up and get out from here.
AggyBlue Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I guess Kean and the owners are making a calculated gamble that what they offer to the club at this difficult time can be matched (bettered?) by others. Don't assume they'll be replaced. Venky's are trying to reduce the wage bill.
Beta Ray Bill Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I meant the youngsters and others already on the books, not necessarily incoming transfers.
AggyBlue Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I meant the youngsters and others already on the books, not necessarily incoming transfers. Okey Dokey
Backroom DE. Posted January 2, 2012 Backroom Posted January 2, 2012 Roberts seemingly on his way out of the club doesn't bother me particularly but its the apparant lies that Kean spins (quite possibly by the order of the owners) that really gets me. Thanks Jason and Michel Salgado, you've been good professionals for the club and its a shame you are having to speak out in order to set straight the record that has been seemingly twisted by others within the club. What a farce. Absolutely. Why come out and lie if the players aren't going to back your lies up? Just makes Kean look like even more of a fool than he already is. Further proof, as if it was needed, that Kean has no idea how to be a manager. For what it's worth, I don't think it's his decision to freeze either player out - that order, no doubt, has come from above him.
den Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 As for the question of Roberts, I think we might very well need him today. Players from both sides will tire and JR is a far more effective sub than Goodwillie. At least JR can give tired defenders a physical knock around.
deftangel Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 If the club was being run properly, we wouldn't need to play silly buggers with contracts with two players who have been good pros at the club. I've no drama with Roberts coming off the bench from time to time, especially against a physical team like Stoke.
John Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 "@sportingintel: There has been a rethink in Pune about #brfc and Jan may not be as dire as feared. Only 2 or 3 players out, perhaps. Bit of £ in. Story ltr"
Ricky Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Saw that one John. Makes for interesting reading. As long as the 3 out arent robinson, samba and hoilett it's not too bad. In all honesty I expect us to lose a few players, Roberts salgado Andrews and Hoilett possibly.
ada2020 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 The point of me putting this in the "our debt" thread, is because it doesn't suggest the finances are as good and proper as Miker tells us. In fairness den the wages to income ratio was an issue John Williams was actively working on during his last season or two with us. The wage bill might not look too pleasant now, but then it hasn't for a few years., though I understand the point you are making regarding the other fellows posts. If the players are allowed to move on for nothing during January then I don't feel either can consider themselves to hard done by. Will miss Salgado though, and it does put a black cloud over his time here. But tough decisions have to be made at this time.

Mattyblue Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 More money avaliable? Sack the clown then! Good grief.
