booth Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I saw this on he6rt6gr6ms Facebook and had to steal it I hope there's a good story behind it! The brolly is that small it's almost a Steve Kean comedy wig.

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 THE saviour of our season?.....puts you to shame Roberts! Is that 13 goals now in 17 games?
LeChuck Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Simply brilliant. Just shows what buying proven PL players can bring to a team, even if they don't initially capture fans' imaginations like unknown foreign players
MullenVoid Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I wonder what the Yak was doing on Preston New Road?
Drover Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Absolute class this guy today. I'm actually quite excited at the possibility of Andy Johnson playing alongside him. Think they are suited down the ground.
joey_big_nose Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 This guy is aguably the best signing we have made since Bellamy. Just incredible how he takes chance after chance after chance. SO much of his general play is unremarkable then he scores goals....
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I thought his general play was decent today. I thought it was incredible.
Backroom DE. Posted December 31, 2011 Backroom Posted December 31, 2011 Moyes must be kicking himself.
Ricky Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 He seemed to work a bit harder today. Nothing but praise for him. If only he'd been on the pitch to take pennos against everton. He never looks like he's going to miss. Seems to wait for the keeper to commit before deciding which way to go. Bargain of the season without a doubt.
Stuart Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Simply brilliant. Just shows what buying proven PL players can bring to a team +1 even if they don't initially capture fans' imaginations like unknown foreign players -1 As you were!

Agree with most of that Ricky but IMO bargain of the season has to be Demba Ba at Newcastle, on a free as well! If we could get someone to support Yak then I'd be happy as he will go through a dry spell and when that happens who is going to score goals for us?

Ah yes Demba Ba, the player mr Nixon said we should stay away from.
Clitherover Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Reading some crap on twitter about him being recalled to the Nigerian international squad, didn't he retire?
Audax Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Reading some crap on twitter about him being recalled to the Nigerian international squad, didn't he retire? Don't know but there was a story recently about a possible recall over at soccerway, I linked to it here somewhere, there new coach Keshi was considering him at this time and one of the Nigerian Vets, I'm not sure if it was Kanu or who but he was against this. Over at the Sunderland fan site, they had some sort of thread on him but I didn't bother to read it. I hope it's not about the transfer market.
Stuart Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I could just imagine us 'cashing in' on Yak. He's probably single handedly putting Project R in doubt!
Exiled in Toronto Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I thought he was a bit of a fat bugger, but jeez, look at the man's biceps! Ripped
jonv Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I think we all know what we've been missing the past few games YAKETY YAK I understand this is a sensitive time for all but this is a seriously sizzling classic ) Bring on the scrap for survival!!! Up the Rovers
bluebruce Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I fear yak's return will be nullified by having to play dann whilst givet and samba sit out.
budha Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Nigeria head coach, Stephen Keshi, has handed Yakubu Aiyegbeni .. recalls to the Super Eagles for the 2013 Afcon qualifying against Rwanda. http://www.supersport.com/football/nigeria/news/120216/Goats_no_more_Yak_Kaita_recalled Hard to see any upsides of this. They play Rwanda at Wed 29th, sandwiched by City and Villa at Sat before and after.
LeChuck Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Hmm not good. I'd be tempted not to play him against City (perhaps bring him on for the last 20 minutes if we're still in it) and save him for Villa, which is a winnable game.
DeadlyDirk Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Fair play to the lad though, after his form this season he deserves it. Where would we be without him? But yeh from a Rovers point of view it's not ideal timing!
