Guest Rovers4Good Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Bring it on. Big Yak, Danns and maybe Grella are getting a run out as we speak v's Celtic at the training ground.

Hughesy Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Yep thats what the game was set up for. Some of the younger lads on twitter yesterday said they were involved.
Guest Rovers4Good Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 awesome just about to kick off i'll let you know how they get on
Guest Rovers4Good Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 1-0 Vince Grella, top corner from the edge of the area left footed, very good finish.
Guest Rovers4Good Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 2-0 Grella shot too hot to handle and number 10 on hand from 3 yards for the rebound.
Backroom Tom Posted September 6, 2011 Backroom Posted September 6, 2011 Is this the same vince grella?
Guest Rovers4Good Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Is this the same vince grella? I know, he's even throwing his weight around and just got involved in a tussle with one of the Celtic lads.
T4E Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Is this the same vince grella? This. Number 10 is? And this.
Guest Rovers4Good Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Number 10 is? Sorry Osayamen Osawe
Guest Rovers4Good Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Unsure of some of the res's but Anderson left back, Ribeiro right back, Danns centre back, Grella centre mid with Yak up top (but playing more in the hole)
BPF Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Unsure of some of the res's but Anderson left back, Ribeiro right back, Danns centre back, Grella centre mid with Yak up top (but playing more in the hole) Out of interest, where are you watching this from?
LeChuck Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 So Grella is fit then? Get him in against Fulham.
Sverre Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Is vukcevic involved? Isn't he playing international football with Montenegro these days?
Guest Rovers4Good Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Out of interest, where are you watching this from? The side of the pitch So Grella is fit then? Get him in against Fulham. To be fair he looked good. Yakubu also did alright at holding the ball up but wasn't really in the mix when we attacked, too deep to be a striker.
Commondore Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 2-0 Grella shot too hot to handle and number 10 on hand from 3 yards for the rebound. Is this a windup? EDIT: Just realized Vinny didn't actually score the second goal... Still, when as the last time he scored in a Rovers shirt? Has it even happened?
Sverre Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Is this a windup? EDIT: Just realized Vinny didn't actually score the second goal... Still, when as the last time he scored in a Rovers shirt? Has it even happened? has he even played for rovers before? lol
hollowsr Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Is this a windup? EDIT: Just realized Vinny didn't actually score the second goal... Still, when as the last time he scored in a Rovers shirt? Has it even happened? About 20 minutes before that one he scored Can't remember him scoring though, as said above kind of, he needs to play to do that! I've always liked him as a player it's just getting him playing is the major problem
Sverre Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 if he can stay fit for a season that would be a like a new signing for rovers
LeChuck Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Can't remember him scoring though, as said above kind of, he needs to play to do that! I've always liked him as a player it's just getting him playing is the major problem I'd rotate him with Petrovic, try and get as many games out of him as possible. It's blatant that he'll never play three games in a week, or perhaps even complete 90 minutes two games running, but if we can get games out of him here and there then it'll be a huge bonus. Treat him similar to how Spurs did with Ledley King for the season, we desperately need a midfielder like him in the squad.
T4E Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 if he can stay fit for a season that would be a like a new signing for rovers .....and so the Grella cycle starts again. A brief glimmer of hope..... ....and then he'll pick up an injury in training tomorrow and be out of the squad for Sunday.
