Hi does anybody here know of any pubs in the Windermere area that will show the game on Sunday I am going away for the weekend and want to watch it (Hasn't gone down well with Mrs)

Yeh, it is called the Sportsmans Inn or something. Also in Bowness there is a pub called The Ship Inn that I think usually shows football.

That's probably Churchills Hotel.

Good for watching football.

Stags head In Bowness always shows sky games! Always head for there when we are up there.

In Bowness on Windermere - Stags and the Quayside Bar of the Ship Inn

In the actual village of Windermere, i.e. a mile and a half from the lake - Queens, and maybe Grey Walls

In Ambleside - Churchills

PS. An 'interesting' fact to use if you wish to convince any locals you meet why they should support Rovers - Ewood Park is nearer to Windermere than Carlisle United and BRFC is the nearest PL team.

Also any walkers you come across should be 'impressed' with the fact that one of Lakeland's most revered figures, the great fellwalker and guidebook writer Alfred Wainwright, was born in Blackburn and was a lifelong Rovers fan who, in 1939 was a founding member and honorary treasurer of the Blackburn Rovers Supporters Club.
