robbo_rovers Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 There is a pub in the centre of Ambleside (on the main street) that usually shows games Yeh, it is called the Sportsmans Inn or something. Also in Bowness there is a pub called The Ship Inn that I think usually shows football.
mjs Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 That's probably Churchills Hotel. Good for watching football. Or that one above!!

An 'interesting' fact to use if you wish to convince any locals you meet why they should support Rovers - Ewood Park is nearer to Windermere than Carlisle United and BRFC is the nearest PL team. Also any walkers you come across should be 'impressed' with the fact that one of Lakeland's most revered figures, the great fellwalker and guidebook writer Alfred Wainwright, was born in Blackburn and was a lifelong Rovers fan who, in 1939 was a founding member and honorary treasurer of the Blackburn Rovers Supporters Club.
