LeChuck Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I still can't figure out why Olsson keeps taking the freekicks. I'm sure all of our hearts sank when we saw Olsson stepping up for the free kick. He can hit a ball pretty hard but he has no subtlety in that left foot of his. I'm sure Formica would have taken a much better free kick. I think Vukcevic will be our main dead ball person when he inevitably gets in the team though.

Freekicks is a difficult skill not many can whip it and bend like Beckham.
BlueMonday Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 noone can see we played well, we didnt, had we played against a higher calibre premierleague team, we would have lost and the people on here saying it was a positive result yesterday wouldnt have been fooled by the fact that we got a point because we would have been beaten. Agreed. A good away point, but Fulham were very average. We will get some hammerings away this season and its hard to see where the points will come from on our travels. Just hope we get our act together at Ewood.

Amo Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 In terms of fitness, why are people automatically assuming the players are only training for an hour a day etc.? It's entirely possible the players are training too hard, which is why they're suffering burnout on matchdays and picking up knocks. Either way it's unprofessional, but just a thought.
AggyBlue Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 In terms of fitness, I'm concerned with the amount of injuries we are getting, does anyone know if we still use the ice baths?
John Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Kean is pretty into his sports science so we are still using ice baths. Had a new fitness coach join a few weeks back too, Rush from Man City.
