I spent three years watching grella when I lived in aus and went to all the international games.

Have the people that rate him watched him over a decent amount of time?

In my opinion he is truly an awful footballer. Zero skill, poor distribution, slow with a poor engine. Fouls far too often as he can't even get close to the ball carrying player.

When I heard that we'd bought him and for four million I could have cried. His time with us has done nothing to change my opinion and we can't even get a game out of him.

Unfortunately we are stuck with him as no-one will take him and he will sit out his contract.

Exactly what I thought, particularly after the Celtic game had been arranged for players like him to get some game time. Hmmm I wonder if he picked up his £6k appearance money for the Celtic game?

Decent player nothing more, he's far too slow and will probably be knackered after about 20 minutes of a game anyway. He's good at long aimless passes and giving away cheap free-kicks. I'd have both Petrovic and Lowe ahead of him to be honest.

I'm not sure how this playing for an hour works. If we got three injuries in the first half he would have to play for minutes. If he (or any others) aren't up to 90 minutes then get them fit or or ship them out.

I think Grella take the silver medal behind Kean for my most disliked Rovers employee of recent times if he doesn't contribute this season. Ince sneaks the bronze.

Vince Grella has to be the worst buy ever, he is far too slow for the premier league, if he scored in the midweek friendly that will about his 3rd career goal at the age of 32 , I always found it strange that Andrews got more stick off the fans eventhough he is twice the player Grella is.

I think Kean said in today's LT that he thought it was a match too early.

He played 90 mins in a game on Monday for the Reserves and it is thought he will be in contention for Saturday's game.

The LT were being rather optimistic suggesting that Vince played for 90 minutes. He was taken off after 79 minutes after managing to hit the underside of the bar from point blank range. He looked slow and anything but fully fit. Prior to the game we have been saying that a fit Grella sitting in front of the back four would be a major plus. After the game we were agreed that whatever our problems in midfield, Vince was not the answer.

Sad to hear that! Hmmm.... real selection problems for Sat. I'll be interested with what Kean comes up with. It is going to need to be pretty drastic.

Great news that Grella isn't anyway near the starting lineup thoughts to be honest. Let's hope he stays injured for the remainder of his contract.

Right up there with the likes of Grabbi for worst Rovers signing of all time. Because he's injured all the time? Not at all, because he's crap.

Watched him in the reserves Monday night. For the first fifteen minutes or so he couldn't pass for tuppence, all his passes went astray. As the game wore on he improved vastly and pinged a few good passes around.

What I did notice, due to the small crowd, he was very vocal in barking instructions to his team mates. This is something we are missing in midfield at the moment.

My only reservation is his lack of pace which even at that level saw him give numerous free kicks away.
