broadsword
So you are equating Kean to a cockroach? You might like to think that, but I couldn't possibly comment.

LeChuck
We will beat Sunderland. They are even more rubbish than us. Martin O'Neill's first game in charge on their home turf without an away win all season? Not a chance. West Brom and Bolton are must win games. If we can't put two wins back-to-back in those two fixtures then we are done for.
JAL
So he is here. We will beat Sunderland. They are even more rubbish than us. Yakubu will have a field day - as will Rochina/Hoilett/Formica. Sick and tired of this MB brining me even more down than necessary! We will NOT BEAT Sunderland!

Yakubu will have a field day - as will Rochina/Hoilett/Formica. Sick and tired of this MB brining me even more down than necessary! Can't see us beating Sunderland. Far more often than not you see a bit of a 'new manager bounce' when a new manager takes over a team. O'Neill will get them organised and make them hard to beat. The next three games are crucial and looking at Kean's record and the simple fact he has never won back to back games in the league we're done for. Backroom DE. Posted December 5, 2011 Backroom Share Posted December 5, 2011 Did anyone really think Kean was going to get sacked today? I haven't even remotely gotten my hopes up, he's just won a match for goodness sake, if anything he'll be getting another payrise and maybe the key to the city of Pune, or whatever equivalent they have out there. He isn't going anywhere folks, especially not after a win!
Plastic Head
Whether a board meeting is going on today or not, if Rovers are in the bottom 3 still after the Bolton game then I think he'll be gone. So will we. If we are in the bottom 3 after Bolton there is zero chance of us staying in the league. It will mean we have 13 points or less on 2nd January. 27 points required from 19 games. 5 certain defeats in there, so 27 from 14...nearly 2 points per game. alexanders
Im full of optimism. They are as low on confidence as anybody. I agree that "a new manager syndrome" might kick in, but they just lost 2-1 against Wolves after been 1 up. Horrible defending.
BuckyRover
Reading through that thread on the BBC and we are getting a lot of support from fans of other clubs including Mancs and Chelsea fans. Really good to see

Early to mid 30s certainly, I think low 20s might be pushing it a bit. This is mainly due to the fact that the 'top 4' is now a 'top 7'.

RoyRover
I cant stand the man: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7354215/ As things stand we would need another 10 games to get into the top 10 with our current pts per game average, and that's with nobody from second half of table picking up any points! If Kean genuinely believes that we should be a top 10 club, then surely he must accept that his failures as a manager is the reason that we aren't there. It's wishful thinking to imagine that someone in the press would put this to him.
