The suggestion that Barclays are getting jumpy again is a bit concerning given the collateral that the Club has already put up. Who knows, maybe they are onto these seemingly dodgy deals with large sums of their cash being syphoned to a certain agent in the background?

I dont get it. How can the Barclays run how things are done at Ewood? And how is it possible for them to come and say that a loan taken from them suddenly have to be payed up? As long as the club is able to pay interests and payments I cant see how a bank can jump in and take more than what the loan agreement would say. You would think a bank that loans out money to football clubs would take a relegation into the risk analysis before loaning out the money.

Its not like we are bankrupt and in administration, are we?

Could someone please clear this up for me, as I don't know a great deal about property or living costs outside of Europe - I'm led to believe that you can live like kings in India for amounts of money that wouldn't go too far in say London, Paris, Berlin, etc? Can anyone clarify? If so, the riches that were so obviously displayed to the visitors in Pune would be very misleading.

Would agree that the Club would be a drain if the long-term plan was to sustain/subsidise us in the PL over the long term but such a plan just isn't compatible with keeping coco at the helm, etc.

I know that it has been reported that they have previously put some personal money in the club but it would be really interesting to see full accounts providing audit trails, etc, so that a clear picture could be gleaned of whether they have an overall net surplus or deficit.

Some of the deals, particularly Riberio on a 3 year contract with seemingly no hope of ever getting into the first team, just do not sit right with me and my suspicion is that there is some sophisticated cash syphoning going on via a certain agent. Just my suspicion of course but would you put it past them?

Kean is delusional. A home win over a newly promoted team without an away win (and that only secured in the last 10 minutes) and he fantasies about a top 10 finish. Only the idiots in Pune beleive him. Now he finds the midfield needs reinforcement - having brought in Petrovic, probably the worst player Rovers have paid money for in the last 20 years. A defeat at Sunderland will put clear water between Rovers and safety.

If it was just the first time that Barclays were being mentioned then maybe, but Barclays have been unhappy with the situation at Rovers for some time.

I fully understand why they are concerned, the club for some bizarre reason continue to keep a manager in a job that is going to relegate the club. They are not mugs, they know that they won't get all their money back when (not if) Rovers are relegated.
