patrickvalery
how long does it take the owners to say 'Kean YOU'RE FIRED!!!'???? I believe the hold up is Balaji wants to tell him with cheerleaders, pom-poms, Rara skirts and fireworks. Mrs Desai wants to tell him by telegram. Venkatesh wants to tell him through the medium of dance. and Mr Desai wants to tell him in a mime. Tricky business this decision making.

BRFC1995
this has to be the photo for all kean out signs. Dopey git could not have posed any better comes across as sinister, creepy, backstabby, un-hygenic and pure. pure evil.

Tyrone Shoelaces
Even kean would have done ok with that chelsea team. I feel pretty confident that the rumors about the players ignoring avram grants tactics and game plans are true, an there is no way the Chelsea players would accept keans bullshit I hope to see rovers in pl next year, with grant that will not happen, so I'm hoping for someone else Which someone else do you think would take over at this point ? At the start of the season we'd a good chance of getting someone decent, now we'll have to scrape the barrel
Steve Moss
The managers who should be on a shortlist to replace the idiot:- Hughes Curbishley Solskjaer Sven Smith Souness (short term till the end of season, maybe Tugay back as his number 2) I can't see Ancelotti or Benitez being interest in the rovers with these owners and the lack of money to spend. Maybe others to consider would be Keegan, Hoddle. Don't think Jones or Grant would be any better than Kean TBH but in football you never know. Grant would be better than Kean, but he would not lead the Rovers to PL survival. Otherwise I agree 100%. If our owners have any combination of brains, spine and heart, they'd have fired Kean with immediate effect. Appoint Ryan Nelsen as temporary player-manager for the Bolton game. Gives them a couple of days to sort of a replacement manager, focusing on Hughes or Curbishley.

At the start of the season we'd a good chance of getting someone decent, now we'll have to scrape the barrel You tell me. In my eyes grant is the worst alternative we can possibly get if we look at managers with pl history. I would rather risk hiring someone with success from a lower or foreign league than grant. If it makes you happy I can post my wish list even though I dont think they will sign Hughes Benitez Slaven bilic Psycho Solskjær Roy Keane
tcj_jones
Well, we stayed up comfortably after we sacked Ince, and we aren't so far adrift that it's a lost cause. I retain hope we could do it with a decent manager in charge, we've got a squad better than quite a few around us. Paul Lambert would be my choice. Or God forbid if he's sacked any time soon, Owen Coyle?? Come on mate, Paul Lambert? He wouldn't join us in a million years! Watching Kean on the BBC after the game I actually felt sorry for the fella. He looked close to tears. It passed though when I looked the league table again. Ince was the master at that. Always trying to milk the sympathy when appearing in front of the media. I'd have Bobby Grant from Brookside rather than Steve Kean! I'd take Phil and Grant from Eastenders over Kean! Gav
I agree Steve. I think personally I would appoint Ryan Nelsen as caretaker manager and at least the fans and players will be unite!!! The last thing the players need is another 'mate' in charge, they've been on a free ride since Kean took over. We need a Souness type manager, someone to kick them into shape in the short term and save us from relegation, then we can start again.

Much as I have disagreed with you this MB over the last year, I do think you are right, someone to come in and tell it like it is, choose the team to win games!! T4E
Our next 7 home games are Bolton, Stoke, Fulham, Newcastle, QPR, Villa, Sunderland. There are points to be had if we hurry up and bin this clown. It has to happen before more games slip away.

I'm firmly in the anyone but Kean frame of mind at the moment. Get him out, get someone in who can (at least) unite the fans and move us all on. Souey would be a good choice, ruffle a few feathers, but I think he'd want a decent interim salary and bonus. Will Venkys pony up?
Kamy100
Afraid it does look like Kean is not getting sacked before Bolton game, his pre-match presser is still on for 9am tomorrow morning and no one expecting anything to happen today or tomorrow. The circus goes on, really is STUPID. Even sacking Kean and putting Clement incharge for Tuesday would get fans totally behind the team, but with Kean still incharge atmosphere will again be poisonous. Tyrone Shoelaces
It doesn't really matter who we get in, anyone will be an improvement. Trouble is there's nobody out there who could avoid relegation with this group of players. We've no balance or real shape in the team. I know I'm stating the bleeding obvious but we don't look like a team that wins games.
Backroom DE. Posted December 18, 2011 Backroom Share Posted December 18, 2011 Seems that Venky's just don't care. They seem to have moved to completely ignoring the situation now. Wonder if they even know what the score was yesterday?

Amo
The only faint glimmer of hope is that Venky's are now looking to sell the club. But in reality, it's probably 'cause they don't have a frickin' clue.
RoyRover
why does Mrs D still back this muppet??? Because she's a stubborn moron, who would rather have the team relegated, than cave into the pressure and be told what to do by the serfs that are the Blackburn Rovers fans. Pelio
My perfect Christmas present would be to see Kean out on his backside tomorrow. We've had a whole bloody year of this joker in charge, we're in freefall - so what's the point in keeping him for another game??? Venkys need to remove their head from their ass and act now, because I really don't see the point in waiting to see what happens against Bolton. Kean's failed, spectacularly in everyone's opinion, there's no glimmer of hope where he's concerned. My worry is the players confidence must be rock-bottom by now, they need new fresh ideas from someone who might actually know what he's talking about! At present, my feeling for the Bolton game is a draw, which really helps no one. So get someone new to take over, and then we may just have a chance in winning!
