dave birch
Souness? Hughes? Working for that lot? Not a chance. Matty, whilst I agree with the sentiment of your post, we do need to get someone in that has some credibility. Problem is, it's going to cost a lot more than 3 months ago and a hell of a lot more than at the start of this season.
Stuart
This quote is from ESPN and a few others: "I always feel as if we are about to go on an unbeaten run, and that the fans who are grumbling are going to be overtaken by the noise of the positive fans,'' Kean said. Still totally deluded and still trying to divide us. I genuinely think he may be mentally ill. Could be the pressure. He must be hoping for the sack so he doesn't have to lose any compo. Chances are he'll never work in management again, certainly not in this country, perhaps not even as a coach. Seems it would be in everyone's best interests for Kean to move on - perhaps even he will benefit the most. Over to Venkys.
T4E
Had a dream last night that I met Souness and he was up for it. Didn't ask him about the Rovers job though.

Ricky
Hughes or Curbishley. Both have got teams out of trouble in the past.
broadsword
Gupta out of "Only When I Laugh." I'm sure he'd do a cracking job. The problem is, we have no-one as a possible caretaker. They can't take decisions quickly enough, here they need to make 2 together. He'll still be here in January, I'm sure of that.

Kamy100
While it's great that people are talking about the new manager etc. can I just point out that Kean is still the manager. While the ground swell of opinion is that he will be removed in the very near future, we have to remember this is Venky's we are dealing with, who has been proven over the last 12 months constantly change their mind. So until he is sacked literally anything can happen due to Venky's and their decision making.
Stuart
This feels different Kamy. We really are at a crossroad;, on the cliff edge; pick your metaphor. Failure to act this time around and it's game over.

imy9
No faith in Venkys to act. My gut feeling is that a result against Bolton will save him, a draw would be sufficient as far as Venkys are concerned. Great headline from LET, bless Andy is going to get cold shoulder this morning!!

Gav
Lets get one thing straight, Alan Shearer isn't the answer unless he's willing to play number 9. His managerial bow at Newcastle was a disaster and I doubt he’d work with the owners, so hopefully we can put this one to bed. Its right out of the Venkys play book though isn’t it, try to appease the fans by bringing in a big name, as if we need more evidence that they’re clueless..... broadsword
I have no faith that Venky's will get anyone half decent in. If they do bin Kean, they will go for the cheap-o option again. Just got this horrible feelign it will be Grant.

Read the line about players being concerned - what a horrible atmosphere it must be at the club, a manager who is hopeless along with owners managing the club in such an atrocious way. Can't believe how incompetent these owners are. Can't even sack the manager after a shocking result on Saturday. The sooner these jokers leave the club, the better. Then we can move forward. Once Kean has gone (which will happen sooner or later) Venkys will be hounded oit of the club. Good riddance to them.
eire3382
Right now speculaton about a new manager is pointless. Lets just get rid of kean and fast. Sack him today. Put the admiral in temp charge for tuesday (that would lift the place).
den
Well done Andy Cryer and the LT. Don't underestimate the power that the LT has. Two massive point made here - Kean needs to go and Venky's need to either get their arses over here and sort this mess out, or sell the club. The idea that Kean can take the Bolton game doesn't stack up with me. If Kean's gone then we might have a great atmosphere tomorrow night, - if he's still here then the place will have another poisonous atmosphere. get rid today Venky's. Bolton are in crisis and a united Rovers could well turn them over.
