John
Savage - “Get rid of the [blackburn] manager, simple as that. Win, lose or draw, get rid of him. The fans aren't enjoying watching them, it is a bad atmosphere around the club. It is not the same club. The guy is inexperienced at that level and Blackburn are rubbish”

rovers11
It's good that the whole of the football world (well, at least the whole of the English football world) is beginning to see what we have seen for months - Venkys are an embarrassment to English football. The pressure has been cranked up on them - not good press for them when they are looking to open outlets in this country.
chris
"Abraham Lincoln famously said "you can't fool all of the people all of the time", but that has seemed to be Kean's approach during a run of four wins in 30 league games during his first year in charge." RoyRover
A great article from The National Fantastic article here and by Mr Winter. The press finally seem to have woken up to Kean, Venky's and the circus that now is Blackburn Rovers. As this article states, it's been a year of startling incompetence by the people in charge and despite it all, Steve Kean hasn't been losing any sleep over it. The guy is beyond belief. If I or any other decent person was under performing in a job to the staggeringly bad degree that he has, I wouldn't be able to get a moments piece. I truly, deeply and genuinely loathe the rat. I agree about getting three points as well, its not about kean tonight its about getting the win. The perfect result would be 3 points and a new manager. Even if Venky's plan is to sack him after the game, it would still be a big mistake to leave it 'til then.

I read this aswell. He also commented on this game being "irrelevant " for kean. Dont want to get my hopes up but is cryer emplying that kean will be gone no matter the result? I can only dream. The reality is that he's probably signing another improved contract

BiggusLaddus
I cannot see Kean getting sacked unless we lose heavily. If the West Brom game had been enough then he'd have gone already. They seem to be looking for any excuse to keep him and a win or spirited draw or clean sheet will be their excuse IMO.
onlyonejackwalker
I would not normally write such a post. Think what you will. A customer from Ribchester visited me yesterday. Her husband is a photographer who is frequently contracted to operate at the Rovers. Yesterday he was told from within his industry to remain close to Ewood Park for the next 48 hours as Kean was to be removed from his position. This all stacks up with other rumours, hence me posting today. Harder to believe is the extra news that the lady told me. She said Shearer was coming in his place. Believe what you will. I cannot confirm the accuracy of the rumour in anyway. Normally I would take it with a large pinch of salt and ignore until something concrete was announced. However and in light of the fact it is rumoured Kean had to achieve 4 points from the West Brom and Bolton game, then it could be correct that he is to be removed after losing to West Brom, irresepctive of how tonight's game went. It would not have made sense to remove him before Bolton with little time for a new guy to prepare and without a ready made replacement in-house. Also the situation is now critical and the clueless chicken pluckers may well at last have woken up to the dire nature of our circumstances. Time will tell.
