Mattyblue
Marvellous job, given the citcumstances'. What are they then? I presume it's either the fan abuse- but that doesn't explain his horrendous record up till October. Or, the circumstances thrown up by working for Venky's- surely not as they have 'been fantastic for him' and whatever he has asked for, they've provided. So, what is it? I'm asking the question, because no 'journalist' will.

John
Since the start of his reign it has been slow torture following Kean and Rovers, we are about to reach the most grim conclusion out of this sorry saga.
SIMON GARNERS 194
wonder what the lma say when some nutjob smashes him one. He will once more 'milk it for all its worth' and once again try to gain sympathy as the victim, the media will turn against us fans big time...I hope that situation does not come to fruition. I just feel we are in a no win situation here,I'm afraid we the fans have been done up like kippers big time. Steve 'TEFLON' Kean.....one very, very Crafty B'stard. sambo
Jog on talking about injuries. We've had a few but the rot had set in long before these injuries. Hate the man more than I thought possible. Wish the worst on him.

I just feel we are in a no win situation here,I'm afraid we the fans have been done up like kippers big time. Steve 'TEFLON' Kean.....one very, very Crafty B'stard. The thing is we as fans can't win -I liken the situation to a comedian onstage, he has the microphone and we do not so everyone hears every utterance he makes whilst we can't get a line written or a question asked. The "marvellous job under the circumstances " - what circumstances? We never get an explanation as to what terrible things are going on as no one from the club or owners talk to us. We are not even a concern for Kean as he can clearly take the abuse, the greatest thing for him was if some loon did give him a slap, that would suit his cause perfectly. It's been said many times - kean is a symptom of the disease not the disease itself - that's venky, I firmly believe hat to be true but it seems to defy both business logic and even any twisted logic of Balajai who wanted a bling play thing-wryan treat it this way? We can question all we want - local press, some national and even politicians can question but no one gets a truthful answer that's if there is any reply at all. But I am seeing the beginning of the end and I don't see anyway forward and we are hardly likely to be seen as a glamour club for any potential new owner now - who would touch us? I like I'm sure many of you have trawled this and other sites all week in vane hope, I've even joined twitter (still not got a clue how that works!) but it's always the same so it's time for me to put Down the iPad and start a rovers free Xmas that way I may have a chance to enjoy it. Best wishes to all, see you on the terraces.....coyb!

SH713
Steve Kean = LOSER Only 2 Relegation Places left. End of... The journalism is shocking and weak nobody has the courage to ask this soft as s*** moron any moving and uncomfortable questions, i.e quizzing him as to why he has such a poor record, and how he inherited a top half side from big Sam and are rock bottom of the PL. DavidMailsTightPerm
I have to give Kean his dues - he is brilliant - not as a manager, but at continually pulling the wool over the eyes of the media. Personally I can't believe that they swallow all his excuses - but they appear dim enough to not scratch beneath the surface. His latest master stroke is inferring that the protests are violent - the only violence I am aware of came from a Kean supporter against Glen. It is obviously what the press want to hear - when the reality is that the protests have been well organised and peaceful - but don't let that get in the way of a good story. I can't believe that after two home defeats - which were essential for our slim chances of staying up - he will be the manager come Boxing Day. It looks like our only chance of getting shut is the type of embarassing defeat we suffered just prior to Sam getting the sack. Lets see how Mrs D's golden boy excuses that one. Steve Moss
There are so many factors which allow Kean to get away with his BS. Blackburn being off the beaten path and not having a large enough fan base to upset the economics of the media market. JA/SEM/Kentaro and the extensive web of clients within the media and football. Lazy, ignorant journos who want stories written and dropped in their laps. Kean's complete lack of shame. Managers acting like they're members of a union. Players who will sacrifice integrity for improved contracts and playing time. Scots backing each other in the face of 'hostile' English fans. The confusion on whom to place the blame, Kean or the Raos. Foolish owners who could have run a middling, cost-effective successful PL club if they had acted with moderation; it's not rocket science. I genuinely cannot believe his comment about him doing a "marvellous job" as backed up by other managers didn't cause the entire room to burst out laughing. Seriously, how hard is it to follow up with "how exactly is 7 wins in 38 games marvellous, Steve?" or "how is being bottom at Christmas and statistically almost certain to be relegated marvellous, Steve?" Why isn't he being pressed any further by the media?

SH713
Did I just hear him say that despite a calf tear to Paul Robinson he could play by possibly "strapping it up and he can get on with it?", I play football but I am not a physio or nout but surely even a goalkeeper can't play though a calf tear? Or was he drinking to much wine again?
