chaddyrovers Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Phoned my local bookie, never far from the mark and bookies usually have a good idea of what's going-on, and he's refusing to take any bets as is an associate of his. kean is the favorite to be the next PL manager to leave with Victor Chandler(4/6) and Sky Bet(5/6). I really hope this is true!!! Kean is NOT the right manager for rovers. His managerial record is Shocking and any other club he would be sack!!! Come on Mrs D, get on with it and get a proven PL manager in ASAP!!!
chris Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Venkys are coming to the arsenal game apparently, I think he'll still be incharge for that one.

DeadlyDirk Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Latest odds across all the sites for anyone wanting to keep up, nothing too much to read into yet, price is similiar to what it has been for the last week or two. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/next-manager-to-leave-post
roverwhelmed Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 It'll turn out he's signing a new contract. don't say that!!!
Billy Castell Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I bet it is the grand opening of UK's first branch of Venky's at Ewood. All the stars will be there, Chico, Eric Roberts (Julia Roberts' crap actor brother), Lionel Blair.......... It is a case of I'll believe the good news when it is conformed by BBC and Sky Sports.
PAFELL Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 It'll turn out he's signing a new contract. Its the garage to pick up his car. Twitter is starting to 'twitter' too. What are you reading on twitter? I cannot find anything.
Glenn Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 This is a good move by the club and Kean but what would be an even better move by the club would be for you to interview someone from Venkys so they can tell us their vision for the future. Wouldn't be better to try and get an interview with one of the owners or the people running the club at board level? The people who can explain to the fans why they are sticking with this manager and seemingly are happy to see the club heading into oblivion. The club and Venkys are two very different beasts with two different PR teams and two very different ways of doing things. We (well Kam) has had a pretty good relationship with Venky's PR for some time now, where as we're in the process of slowly rebuilding our relationship with the club. But don't worry, we're trying to cover every story in every way and we're not faced with a lot of either/or choices. We *almost* had an interview with Mrs D lined up months ago (when she was in the UK) which saw Kam driving around Lancashire, trying to catch her at venues before she left for the next and we are of course trying for another. I'd be very, very surprised if it happens. One of those. I suspect that "scheduling" issues will prevent the interview from ever taking place. Right, i don't want to get people excited. BUT something definitely is happening at Ewood today, not sure what it is but have been talking to other journo's and they also saying something is going on. Of course could be something unrelated to Kean but still not had confirmation of the interview, maybe that is because things are in motion re his removal, or I could be putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5. I last spoke to the club this morning and it was a matter of "when" not "if". Unless you know somebody about Kean's future we don't To be honest Glenn I dont his interview will change the poll any bit! We are all aware of his blatant lies and ignorance and cockyness now so anything he says in the interview wont change that. He isnt going to sell out the owners, he isnt going to sell out JA or Kentaro/SEM. Waste of time imho, but its a great opportunity for Kamy! I am still going to be wanting rid of the Klown Well, the club agreed because they felt he'd come across well (which is fair enough), we're doing it because it gets a chance to have questions asked that traditional national journo wouldn't. Hopefully everybody wins.
Mc Love Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 If Kean is sacked will Kamy still be doing the interview ?
Amo Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 If there's rumours on Twitter you can be sure nothing will happen.
RibbleValleyRover Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 The stuff going on at Ewood is probably the crisis talks between Samba and Kean. Like many others I hope Kean is getting his P45 right now.
Mitch Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I for one just cannot see Venkies sacking Kean until its too late. A few more losses and the gap will open up in the prem and we wont get it back! Never in the history of the prem league have owners been so supportive of a manager that is so out of his depth its beyond a joke! I cannot bring myself to support him anymore. Fulham confirmed just how bad tactically he is. I couldnt believe what I was watching in the second half!
PAFELL Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 If Kean is sacked will Kamy still be doing the interview ? Think he'll be having a party like everybody else.
Wolverine Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 What are you reading on twitter? I cannot find anything. Not a lot (seems to be taking the search function forever to come up with recent results) but one from @ColinBoucher, and a fleeting mention from @Callon7. edit: @Jimmy2spoons now as well! That said, it could just stem from this very site in any case...
Mc Love Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Could see very little on twitter also for kean and keanout tags
RovertheHill Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 What do we do if no sensible manager will come to us? Whilst I want Kean out I'm very worried that the places we will be forced to look will either be "old has-been" or new and up and coming. Both have plenty of risk involved as we know.

The general feeling seems to be that no-one could be worse than what we have now RTH. It's hard to argue against that isn't it?
hawkiiz Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Got to admit I can't see Kean being sacked yet. Trouble is we MUST beat Newcastle, as the two other of the three next games are deffo defeats. I'm not too excited about getting rid of Kean anyway as long as we don't know who would take his job. I know. I know "my granny would do a better job than Kean", but I don't want another random guy as manager. I want a real one.

Agreed on beating Newcastle but can't see it happening, they've started fairly well and we've only had 1 game that we deserved to win and that was Everton.

You know if we lose our next few games it'll be a case of "we were unlucky and played well. On another day we'd be walking away with 3 points"
BPF Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Are we any closer to finding out what is going on at Ewood yet?
PAFELL Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Not a lot (seems to be taking the search function forever to come up with recent results) but one from @ColinBoucher, and a fleeting mention from @Callon7. edit: @Jimmy2spoons now as well! That said, it could just stem from this very site in any case... Lots of messages on twitter saying it is only about reappointing Samba as captain. Talk about a let down. It should be the new managers choice who is the captain, not the donuts.

That is the biggest fear I have, as I do not trust the owners to do anything right.
