We are playing better, I've seen it with my own two eyes.

if we were that disorganised we'd of been getting rolled over 5-0 every week.

But we've been in pretty much every game bar Villa.

I'm not saying we're the most organised team in the league, but the way people are painting it; it's like we're In for double relegation.

It's not 95 anymore. We're not going to challenge for Europe this season (nor were we challenging for it in the last 4years)

We're mid table at best at the moment.

People need to wake up. We're not getting Ancelotti, Martin O'Neill, Hughes etc. because let's face it, we're Blackburn Rovers not Chelsea, City, Arsenal...

Grit your teeth, support your team and you never know things might get better

We are playing better going forward than last year but we are still making the same defence mistakes. Under Kean we have conceded more goals from set pieces than we did under previous managers (average per game). We also concede a lot of late goals. This would indicate a problem with tactics.

We have been unlucky this season but some of the problems arent down to lucky. We played 442 against wolves knowing that our first choice defence was out and we had no DM. Most managers would have gone 451 and hit on counter.

I am not asking for o niel or Hughes back. I think that is impossible. Kean might be good eventually but can we afford to give him the time. Poyet would be my choice

Has Glen been on yet ?

no but must be in next 20 minutes, I know for sure its after the Russian guy, I turned off as he was boring as hell and turned back on when Glen one n was on.

glen was on a 35 past, and the game is currently at 28 minutes based on a 8pn kick off, so Glen should be on in 8 minutes or so

But don't quote me on that

Knee-jerk reactions are like Everton fans criticising their club for having to repay their debts and not blowing a load of cash and adding to the debts of the club.

We've had 9 months of relegation football - look at the results.

You make your own luck in football. Look at the goals we have conceeded this season - how many have been unlucky? The pen against Everton is the only possible. The rest is bad defending - bad organisation IMO.

The top paragraph sounds a lot like Rovers fans.

I referred to our luck as ref decisions (Everton), players not being able to score penalties and injuries.

Most if not all of them are not a direct result of Kean's management.

I agree about the bad defending. But IMO that ties in with the injuries thing

I agree Rovers fans would moan about not spending money we didnt have, but you know what for several years we've had a net loss on transfers - and never organised marches, gone to the press, never gone out and spent £15m on a midfielder (Feliani) etc...I think we've been more than fair with Kean, unhappy yes but he's been given his head and made a team that was capable of 10/11th under Sam into relegation fodder.

Regarding the injuries, we had a lot of the same type under Souness - muscle injuries and strains - these cleared up to a large extent under Hughes - in my opinion because he brought in top quality coaches and we had the fittest team in the premier league. Therefore, are these injuries relating to the same - a lack of overall fitness - I cant tell you for certain, but it is a concern.

We had enough chances in open play against Everton - we didnt have the quality upfront to score them - missing penalties doesnt help , but we shouldnt rely on them to win games.

And we were very lucky not to concede another penalty against Fulham when Salgado made another clumsy challenge in the box. A pen 9 times out of 10 that one. People quick to moan when we're unlucky but never mention the bad decisions that go our way.

Just seen it.

Well done Glen.

Hope you get triple the number you are expecting to march on Saturday. I'll be there.

You clearly are turning a blind eye as to what's going on because we are actually playing quite well...

How can I be wrong when we're a few games in?(please don't go on about "our record" because we've been over that)

When we're in the thick of it and in the relegation zone, adrift from the rest of the teams above us; then I'll admit we should of sacked Kean.

But we're not adrift from the rest of the teams above us and IMO we've been playing quite decent.

Will you admit you're wrong if we make it to midtable by Xmas?

:rover: I SEE KEANO SAYS HE HAS THE SUPPORT OF THE PLAYERS,THE OWNERS AND WANTS THE FANS TO STICK WITH HIM.well i for one think sk is unsackable and the fans have 2 options back the team,or spend 90 mins shouting kean out.saturday is a perfect day to protest because we have little chance of winning.personally i think the players are behind him,ive seen nelsen backing him on one of the premier production programmes we get over here.the owners will stick by him, because they employed him and he is a very cheap option.cheep cheep the indian way.the posters who go to the games have a big decision to make, either back the team or protest.:brfc:

I don't feel it's a big decision waggy. The difference in meaming between "Steve Kean out" and, for example, "Forever and ever, we'll follow OUR team etc." is pretty clear.

I simply don't understand those who argue a protest damages the team. IF people want Kean out protest during a match is the only realistic option. Everything else I've read on here is just so much nonsense.

I will try to join Glen's march as he seems to be the only one actually doing something. Where and when is needed soon though.

Surely the fitness side of the team is down to the fitness coach?

And I suppose any poor performances would be down to Paul Brand, the head of 'Performance Analysis'? Hell, why don't we blame the poor results of our first team on the 'first team coach'? Come on, I respect the fact that you're standing up to so much opposition, but that argument makes very little sense. Kean is the manager. He has ultimate responsibility because he decides on his staff, on the training sessions, on the hours the team works.

Good Premier League managers take control of the team. They enforce a winning mentality through every level of the club. Kean has not done this and does not look capable of it.

Staggered by arran's indefatigable defence of Kean. Especially love the post about seeing what's going on 'without bias'.

Given the overwhelming evidence of Kean's lack of management ability and the complete lack of evidence that he will ever 'come good' - and at this point I'm ignoring his lack of character and deluded media quotes - I say it is you, arran, with the biased view.

Props to you for sticking to your guns but your a loyalty is misguided and should be towards the future of BRFC and not the future of SK.

I have posted in the other thread more details, will try and confirm venue today, if you or anybody else has a good venue you think the March should start from please let me know, as folk will need to time to make their way to venue after parking up ect, as most will park where they usually do, but it needs to be a 10-15 min walk IMO

Well you know my opinion on this. You also know I've been consistent in saying that Venkys will never fire him.

That said we're between the rock and the hard place. If the protests were successful and arms were twisted then you know that Venkys would not have any succession planned, you also know that they couldn't afford the big name managers. Any selection would be made on only how dumb the applicant was and how little he would cost.

In some cases the cure is worse than the disease. We have to recognise what we've been reduced to as a club and what we have become under Venkys. Given where we are I fear that any change to Kean right now would be turkeys voting for Christmas.

Believe me I feel my skin start to creep as I type this but today there is no alternative to Kean. A managerial change will only have any effect if Venkys sell and we have a new beginning, if they don't - well then we are where we are.

"We are actually playing quite well"? We played well in patches of the first half and were utter ###### the rest of the time. The only game we've been decent in is the Everton game, but that's all meaningless if you can't finish the team off and lose 1-0. Wolves barely got out of second gear to beat us, and Aston Villa disposed of us with ease as well. Our only win came against a Sheffield Wednesday reserve side in the League Cup. This is without even going into the shocking performances of last season.

Who's really turning the blind eye here?

have you been smoking something when you posted the above ..playing well Everton apart ( whom may I add were abysmal ) that 2nd half against Fulham must have been one of the worst Rovers performances for quite some time...the guy has no idea , took his creative man off , played with a forward who was struggling with an injury for 90 mins , etc need I go on ???....have you had a look at the table and our next few home fixtures by any chance ??? :o

i seldom get too fustrated and ###### off with someone i hardly know in person. BUT.......... here comes BL***Y Keane. Are u Freaking kidding me!!????

"I think the thing is, we have got that (fight) in abundance. We showed that last season, we’ve got spirit, we’ve got togetherness and I think we came today to not sit back and defend but to provide a quality attacking threat with Goodwillie and (Mauro) Formica, (Ruben) Rochina, Hoilett."

openly saying something so damn bloody obvious UNTRUE!!!! is this guy stupid, blind, or totally clueless about soccer!? Do he even have a pinch of dignity in him?

"“We felt when we got our noses in front, if we got to half-time still ahead we’d have grown in confidence. I thought we played a lot of good stuff,” he told Sky Sports."

never had i once wanted our team to lose but i'll be hoping arsenal trash us inside out. it may be painful...... but i rather the trashing gets kean out rather then having him onboard for further pain towards the end of the season!

My worries too.

I know Kean is useless and shouldn't be managing Blackburn Rovers but:-

which half decent manager could we get on the cheap, we all know Venky's won't splash out?

would Keans sacking unsettle any of his signings? the very players our premier league future depends on

would Junior sign for another manager after praising Kean for giving him a regular place in the team?

No doubt about it, it's a huge decision and I don't know which way is best to jump, this seasons not a write off yet.

As deluded as Kean. We were woeful against Wolves,Villa and Fulham-all poor teams. We were much better against Everton but lost.

How can anyone say "we are actually playing quite well"? Absolutely beggars belief.
