Recommended Posts

ive been re-assured by 2 sources that kean isnt being sacked and replaced by grant.

and grant isnt going to be employed in any capacity.

Thanks that is a relief.

Venky's PR also saying Kean not getting sacked. Looks like Nick Harris was spot on with his article yesterday.

Grant got massive plaudits for keeping Portsmouth fighting during their relegation season, despite the club being in a truly sorry state. Funny how that's now forgotten and he just "relegated" them.

Can't agree at all with that.

Grant was only getting plaudits because people had sympathy with the situation he found himself in. If remove the points deduction then Pompey still only managed 28 points that season. It was a dreadful season.

Fair enough he kept the players motivated, but results and performances were very poor. He was a major factor in them being relegated. I still do have sympathy for the conditions he had to manage under, but he still didn't do a good job. 28 points is woeful.

As for West Ham... yep, he failed and should have been replaced earlier. No argument there.

I don't want him here, and I don't think he'd save us, but he's still better than Kean. Even at Portsmouth and West Ham his win percentage was over 30%, far from great but somewhat superior the current joker.

Grant has 2 relegations on his CV and Kean none at present so I don't see how that makes him "superior". It seems it's all academic anyway.

Guys ... whats with this negative thoughts .... last i checked we still a EPL club ... many managers will come front for challenge and money ... never mind the ownership shambles ...

rovers are a good team with good players ... its the "brilliant one" who is keeping us down with his tactics and organisational skills

so anyone heard , has he earned a stay on the axe ? :wstu:

Mrs Desai tipped off her favourite journalist then.

So what puts Kean back under the axe when?

We don't know is the short answer but this news is very bad in terms of Samba, Robinson and Hoilett retention in my opinion.

If you were Barclays Bank, would you now have any reason to re-assess your evaluation that Rovers being relegated is the central case for the future?

I thought not...

If there's ever a nuclear war, Steve Kean will survive it, no hassle.

He'll be sat in his shelter, eating dung, and smiling to himself. Surrounded by great stacks of readies and a portrait of Mrs Desai hanging off the wall.

So you are equating Kean to a cockroach?

We all know come next weekend if Rovers get beat at Sunderland then we go through the motions of whether he will get sacked or not all over again. He would probably survive a defeat at Sunderland and then has an opportunity against WBA and Bolton in quick succession.

Whether a board meeting is going on today or not, if Rovers are in the bottom 3 still after the Bolton game then I think he'll be gone.

I cant stand the man: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7354215/

As things stand we would need another 10 games to get into the top 10 with our current pts per game average, and that's with nobody from second half of table picking up any points!

utterly deluded - if he was to come out and say he thinks we will come 17th and not get relegated I would say that was being 'positive' and maybe even realistic, setting sights on top 10 right now is bonkers

So, it looks like Coco survives.

How on earth do these guys buy his bullsh1t ?

Coco still talks about a top ten finish which based on last season's table, we would require another 37 points from 24 games which is sixth placed form !!!!!!!

I'm now in utter despair and fear that this clown will never be sacked.

Quite clearly, we are on the road to ruin and, IMO, administration.

Serves you right for getting your hopes up... along with everyone else.

To be honest, this topic should be locked for people's health. It's just groundhog day here.

Kean's here for the long haul. -_-
