  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

They hear what they want to hear. If Steve Kean loses the next 10 games and finally gets the sack these people will be saying that Kean had to go after his poor run of games and that the fans were somehow to blame for the teams poor run of form because they didn't support the team. Me, you, Glen or thousands of other fans could tell these guys to their faces why we want him gone, describing his abysmal record, how he has divided the fans and ripped the heart out of the club and these guys would still persist with the notion that Kean is getting a rough ride and it's only a few braindeads calling for his name.

It's amazing how the tides can turn. Coyle was the toast of the town last season with the job he was doing at Bolton. I don't see our manager having a role reversal with results however as he's clueless.

Bolton fans became increasingly concerned from around about Feb last season. Coyles record since then has been very similar to Kean (possibly worse). Most Bolton fans I know have started to shift their opinion from great young manager to tacticaly nieve and unlucky with injuries!

Interesting article: http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/news/2011/12/11/kean-eyes-contract-extensions-for-rovers-pair-hoilett-and-dunn-102039-23625669/

“With Junior it’s ongoing. We feel we’ve put a good offer together and the directors have been dealing with this.

“I’ve just been trying to keep the player in the form he’s in.

“We want him to be part of what we’re trying to do here. It’s certainly not dead.”

Local lad Dunn, in his second stint at Ewood Park, turns 32 this month and is also a free agent at the end of the season.

The midfielder still brings bags of creativity when fit and Kean wants to tie him to a new contract.

He said: “When you see the way David (right) plays and what Blackburn means to him, we’d certainly like to keep him.

Don't know what Kean told them to do in the second half of the Sunderland match, but apparently it didn't involving attacking at ANY POINT DURING THE SECOND HALF.

One of the most disgraceful halfs I've ever witnessed, absolutely livid at how pathetic we looked. I appreciate we had injuries and Kean will use that as his excuse but my God. This is Sunderland we're talking about, not Man Utd, not Chelsea, not Arsenal and not even Spurs or Liverpool... SUNDERLAND, and we allowed them to absolutely dominate us like a Premiership team playing a non-league team. I appreciate Hanley would struggle to get into a non-league team and Yak may as well not have even been on the pitch but come on.

Embarrassed to see a Rovers team play like that, there is no way we survive this season with Kean in charge. No way what so ever.

If Steve Forfeit Kean wonders why there weren't more than 300 Rovers fans to kick up a stink about the penalty and disallowed goal, he only needs to look in the mirror and say Cardiff.

3 times a la Candyman? (with the same result) :P

What a mess we are in.

Keep Kean and we face almost certain relegation.

Key questions - can the club actually afford to sack him and who, with any credibility, would come into a club which, if today's press is correct, is financially hamstrung.

I think we are abjectly fecked.
