Well I hope somebody can send that to the venkys.

What's the point? The Rao family don't give a toss about Blackburn Rovers, the town of Blackburn or the supporters. Sadly, I suspect they'll simply put their acquisition of Blackburn Rovers down as a business venture that went wrong, get back what they can by selling what they can and move on to their next business venture. Those of us who have spent a lifelong love affair with the club will be left to pick over the bones of what's left.

This discussion by hardened, professional sports journalists is a damning verdict on the mismanagement of Desai and her brothers. How the Premier League could allow these clowns to buy any Football Club is beyond belief. Dear old Jack wouldn't have allowed them over the doorstep, he would have soon seen through their so called passion for Blackburn Rovers.

The people who wanted Sam out presumably knew that we could quite easily get someone worse, but evidently didn't care?

Have I got that right Matt?

I don't follow you.

I'll say it again though. If the owners had sacked Sam and replaced him with a proper manager it's unlikely we would be where we are. Kean's appointment (and subsequent ability to survive in spite of his lack of talent) is the problem.

Both decisions are the problem.

Replacing Sam with someone better than Kean probably would have prevented the situation we found ourselves in.

I still think we would have been worse off than under Sam though. There aren't many better managers around for a club like ours, at least in terms of getting results.

This is so sad but compelling at the same time. It's about time this sort of message got out there a bit more, but I guess with some publications there's going to be a certain bias.

Key message is that we do have a squad capable of more, why can't the owners see the fact the Kean is potentially the biggest problem.

Even if results go our way in the next few weeks what happens in January? You have to think if a real manager were employed one that had the respect of the players there's a chance that we might just keep the players we want to and who knows....

Have just seen the footage of todays (??) press conference, or at least a bit of it....normally don't bother as I can't stick listening to him.

I don't think I've given Kean enough credit in the past, he's not bad certainly at speaking to the press/cameras.

Nothing at all negative about him, he does deflect (intentionally I think) the focus onto the players plenty.

But what I can't understand that within 3-odd minutes of VT that he references the atmosphere/protests affecting the players, then later on states that the players are professionals, ignore it and it doesn't really affect them.

Spin and more spin.

Heaven help him if there's anything less than six points in the next two games.

You don't sack a manager who's getting good results for you, unless you have a replacement lined-up who's nailed on to do better or some sort of gross misconduct has occurred.

To bin Sam like they did was pure stupidity and we're now reaping the whirlwind.

I do agree with this.

"Blackburn can't survive while Steve Kean is manager"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbUpAVP95us

It amazes me how some sections of the press don't see what's going on at Rovers, forget about Steve Kean's record as manager and criticise the supporters for protesting, while you people like this who can see past all the bulls**t and make highly relevant and accurate comments about the goings on at the club (and which aren't too hard to spot if you just opened your eyes).

As you say in another post Topman, compare that to what those morons on Soccer Saturday had to say and it's obvious to has their finger on the pulse.

And as refreshing as it was to hear some journalists finally saying as it is, it was devastating to think about how far the club has fallen under these crooks in such a short period of time.
