  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

There is little point sulking, I have come away from Ewood today whilst an unorginsed protest of 200-300 people have assembled outside the Jack Walker stand to vent their anger and frustration. Was YOU there?? If the answer is no you have shown how much you care

Don't try and imply that the people that didn't go to the protest after the game don't care about this club, after you got so agitated when Kean said that about you. Just because you protested after the game doesn't mean you're a better fan than those who didn't.

Come on mercer, I must have read this from you about 10 times this season alone.

My bookie has more money than me so therefore he must know his onions and his antenna must be pretty sharp.

All I've said previously is that at certain points, he's closed his book.

He manages 'risks' extremely well and WOULD NOT take a bet on Kean being in charge for Tuesday !!

Read into that what you will.

If by slipping away and doing nothing that makes you comfotable then so be it, But truth is, if you cared you would be fighting like the one's who are. Sorry it dont fit with your stance, but bottom line is, by slipping away, there is little point being a keyboard warrior, You either care and show it, or live with it. You have NO excuses

Surely if he thinks Kean is on his way, he would take that bet??

You just want someone to call me a tit. :(

Haha. I hadn't even thought of that. But if that the bra fits...

Feelings were made loud and clear at the game by all sides of the ground. You've done well so far Glenn, don't start a slanging match now, times are desperate enough.

I hope your meeting with Kean is before Tuesday.

I understand you want him out, but every week you spin a yarn like this, give it a rest for once. Your bookies predictions have not even been close to accurate on Steve Kean, your taking the ###### in my opinion.

No I don't, get your facts right sir and I aint taking the p1ss or whatever. Only flagging what I've been told which I'm happy to share. If right, then fantastic news, if nonsense, then just like 90% of the stuff you'll read in tomorrow's Sundays.

There is ground between 'keyboard warrior' and people protesting after the game though.

Many many people protested and vented during the game when the man himself is stood there in front of the crowd.

What about those who leave the ground and didn't see any protests going on?

What about people who didn't go to stoke to protest? To sunderland? There are different ways to show anger not just the one.

When someone dies, we all grieve in different ways. You'd do well to remember that.

The other thing is that there seems to be a fetish these days to film everything and stick it on YouTube. Not your fault but it is likely to put a lot of people off joining in. Especially a non-organised protest where things could easily spill over.

I noticed at least 3 (West Brom?) fans frogmarched from the stadium during the game. The potential for flare up was high today.

Call those excuses? Fine but it doesn't help your cause to start turning on your own. No matter how frustrated you are.

I've always respected, admired and supported your stance, and even joined in protests but you're in danger of becoming the anti-Kean.

I know what you are saying mate, but i'm getting tired of people who moan, or complain or in computer form (Keyboard warrior) Then when it comes to the crunch have sat back and allowed this to happen.

I don't understand the mentality of people who aint happy but choose just to do nothing. People who are pro Kean can understand, because they are happy with the manager, but the ones who want him gone I do not understand,

It seems they would rather miss the traffic or get to the pub, that vent their anger and try and push a change. This is why after 15 games we have just 10 points, had supporters not just wanted to get off after a game, Kean would of been gone weeks ago

+1 from me, people contribute in the way they feel most comfortable - not everyone feels that way about protesting, dosen't mean they should be criticised for it...Glen, you are in danger of alienating yourself by attacking people on here now....

The club never intended to have this meeting with Kean before Tuesday, they clearly thought one or both of these games were winnable, and you would have been fed BS from Kean about the corner being turned and to trust him etc

Would be surprised if the meeting is held now, but also if Kean is sacked if the result is anything other than a win on Tuesday

And Mercer, I mean this in the nicest way possible but do STFU.

Feckin hell Topman, it must be getting to you!

Today, I had a great day by NOT watching that load of sh1te @ Ewood but by spending some quality time with the missus. You should try it, watch Rovers too much these days and you can become very bitter ! To make my day, also made some 'Big Bucks' on the very same nag @ Ascot !

behave yourself Tom, you either follow Glen Mullan and his rules to the letter or you obviously don't care about the future of rovers ;) ...and then he wonders why only a couple of hundred bother. One day the penny might drop with him that people don't like to be told how to protest and even more so being told by somebody that many seasoned followers of the club had never heard of prior to this season!

There was no organised protest, but that did not stop people nailing the colours to the mass,

I was there with my better half and got talking to a few people who like ourselves were gutted with our situation.

Its very difficult to protest at Ewood when theres nobody there to listen. What a snake of a man Kean is.

Violent disorder is the only way now. I dont care about negative feedback from lily-livered brigade.

I'm very full of emotion and anger at the moment and hopefully I will feel more relaxed tomorrow, I can't help how I feel, because I see our club slipping away with very little fight and resolve, and that seriously annoys me

In just the same way that there are fans of the club that aren't within a commutable distance, like myself - supporting the club is not limited to those that live locally, but some people are naturally passive, but their opposition could be utlised in different ways - see what happens when a TV series is cancelled, there are physical protests but also letter writing campaigns, etc, etc

As has been pointed out elsewhere the protests lack a central point of information - and even as recent as this week there have been people offering to help with a web presence and so on. If you don't want to take on more stuff to organise why not "outsource" it and see where it leads?

The reason the team has 10 points is not to do with people not mobilising and making their feelings known, it is because we have a poor manager and an unfit team if you believe the rumors.

I can't be there, but would make my voice heard if I were, but I'm still prepared to give time to the cause....

I hope you will understand that a meeting with Kean now is not good,we need him out and now.

we should be saying venkys out they have ruined the club from top to bottom. they are a total and utter joke

I wouldn't expect Kean to walk on his own back, whether out of pride or financial gain, or even both. But what I would expect, nay, demand, after such a poor spell under Kean's leadership, is for the owners to cut their losses and sack him.

I hate to say it, but I frigging well feel for you Rovers fans right now.

There were roughly 21,000 Rovers fans at Ewood today.

As I stood outside the players entrance with the rest of the 2-300 I did comment to my mate...there should be more than this.

I do understand your frustration Glen. There does appear to be a growing apathy and exceptance of our plight.

P.S.

Tell Kean where he can stick his meeting..on behalf of most fans.

I also understand your point but there is nothing to indicate that even if 5000 protested previously that he would have been sacked. Venkys are such an enigma.

I get the feeling that Venkys have as good as walked away from the club.

I have no issue with people who have chosen not to go, or phycially can't make the games for one reason or another i.e location. I have read people want more information and even if that information was made available it would not change Steve Kean's record. His record alone speaks for itself and it does not matter what else is going on regarding Kean as a Manager is judged on results which are sadly not upto scratch. What is happening off the field should not be a distraction of what is happening on the field.

Yes our future off the field issues could play a bigger part of the clubs future, but most supporters only care about results as so much information is not readily available. For those who don't have info or take much attention of behind the scenes activity results should be enough for supporters to think they are unaccepetable
