  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

Feckin hell Topman, it must be getting to you!

Today, I had a great day by NOT watching that load of sh1te @ Ewood but by spending some quality time with the missus. You should try it, watch Rovers too much these days and you can become very bitter ! To make my day, also made some 'Big Bucks' on the very same nag @ Ascot !

Yep, Mercer, I also did not miss going to the game today. I was naffed off by the result but had a lovely afternoon out with my youngest daughter. I will be not there on Tuesday as I would rater be at home watching Corrie than that ###### served up at Ewood.

I'm very full of emotion and anger at the moment and hopefully I will feel more relaxed tomorrow, I can't help how I feel, because I see our club slipping away with very little fight and resolve, and that seriously annoys me

You probably won't feel better but sleeping on things often allows for fresh perspective.

You're obviously no politician and you are too emotionally attached to the cause (not necessarily a criticism) to be objective all the time - especially a couple of hours after THAT.

behave yourself Tom, you either follow Glen Mullan and his rules to the letter or you obviously don't care about the future of rovers ;) ...and then he wonders why only a couple of hundred bother. One day the penny might drop with him that people don't like to be told how to protest and even more so being told by somebody that many seasoned followers of the club had never heard of prior to this season!

If you had not been so arrogant and done the Job properly in Pune and since your return just maybe we would not be having to protest, You had a ###### attitude when you went Pune and have had a ###### one since you came back, with FF members like you who needs enemies.

This aint about having heard of anyone or anything, this aint a conquest, I have been going on rovers on 30 years, and what I do is out of love for my club and the town I was born. I don't want a medal, or tea and biscuits at Rovers, I want a club to support until I die and one for my children and my childrens children to support. I do what I do because I care and it means so much to me, If I was cut open I would be Blue and white throughout.

Did I expect a different repsonse from you???????????

Not at all because you have been peddling the same c**p since you got a ticket to Pune

Quite true my friend, Adrenalin still pumping from todays game, I can't always take the moral high ground (Been doing that for three months) Sometimes you have to let off steam and I'm seriously cheesed off by today, I will settle down by Monday :-)

I stood there with the 200-300 outside the players entrance. Shouting and singing my heart out for my club. Then I had a couple of pints in the blues bar. Only to see black and yellow scarves and t shirts sat there filling their fat faces. Too lazy to shout for the club. Why do you not share the passion? I dont give a toss what anyone comes back with, no other fans would allow this to happen yet 20000 go home and accept it. Joke fans

I have no issue with people who have chosen not to go, or phycially can't make the games for one reason or another i.e location. I have read people want more information and even if that information was made available it would not change Steve Kean's record. His record alone speaks for itself and it does not matter what else is going on regarding Kean as a Manager is judged on results which are sadly not upto scratch. What is happening off the field should not be a distraction of what is happening on the field.

Yes our future off the field issues could play a bigger part of the clubs future, but most supporters only care about results as so much information is not readily available. For those who don't have info or take much attention of behind the scenes activity results should be enough for supporters to think they are unaccepetable

Putting the amount of effort into what's gone before has obviously taken it's toll on you, and emotions seem unusually high tonight. Just know that you've made an impact and the work that is being done has the potential to improve the situation moving forward.

The club is worth it, but are the owners?

Problem is all of our hearts are with the club, so even if they are being run by people who don't deserve it we are stuck with them.

I worry, like many others on here it seems, that the meetings might be a clumsy effort to stall the momentum.

I just wish I was up there and able to pitch in, but if I can help from a distance drop me a DM, maybe in the AM tho?

Do you think that Kean will have the balls to hold that meeting next week? Surely he'ss try and get out of it by saying something like all focus has to be on the games ahead. OK maybe he will call it depending on the result v Bolton but by then were into Christmas etc. I think that he will do all he can to get out of it.

Ideal world would be his sacking - but there's nobody around to do it.

I haven't been peddling any crap since either before, during or after the trip to Pune - but if you say I have, then I must have. You state that "If you had not been so arrogant and done the Job properly in Pune and since your return just maybe we would not be having to protest" - now if memory serves me correctly, I seem to remember messers Battersby and Currie also being on the trip to Pune and what effect upon the Venkys have they had? Wayne Wild at WEC who has (through his business) put far more money into rovers than I could ever dream of has also had his say - again, what effect upon the Venkys have they had? The leader of BwDBC, local MP's - again, what effect upon the Venkys have they had?

The answer, it would appear, is that Venkys haven't taken any notice of anybody - even the people at Ewood. So why did they invite us over, christ only knows. I'd be interested to know what you think my attitude is?

I don't know buddy, hopefully he will not be about to make that decision, the table don't half look bad today, That was an awful match today and both sides looked poor.

At no point this week did I think rovers would lose to WBA at home, this is an all time low to me (Hence the emotion)

I understand your passion glen but I'm starting to think the protests have given the players an excuse not to perform. I am completely astounded that the bald twit is still in charge but how can you suggest that fans that don't boo or protest are even SLIGHTLY responsible? In my opinion it's the other way round.

I've never booed. Never will. I'm a passionate fan, 2 decades of ups and downs but even now I can't bring myself to boo... Why? Because it simply gives players a scapegoat. Look at the comments from our players? Jason Roberts is a disgrace.

That said, the players are burying their heads, and who can blame them? It's either sing from the same rotten hymn sheet or don't get picked. David Dunn must have his face do far into Keans behind, oh wait... Perhaps it's the lack of planning that has left our midfield a complete crock of ######.

The problems we are facing are shared as fans. Turning on each other is about as productive to our plight as singing Kean-out after 5 touches of the ball (stoke?) Unless the constant booing stops our players will carry on dropping their heads. Hence why we perform better away(slightly)

So blaming fans who haven't protested, for us having ten points, is in my opinion a farce. From my side of the fence it's all the negative tension the protesters are causing which is costing us points. (not mentioning our lack of depth, fitness, experience, tactical nouse, good organisation etc)

Just a perspective, not intended as self promotion.

Contructive faor poiints Andy, and you are quite correct Venkys break the mould when it comes to incomptetance, and yes you guys tried your best whilst you was there, I still can't help feel though as a FF you could have pushed more since your return especially with your acceptance already within the club. Ok these efforts if you had tried may have failed, Not sure how many meetings you have had since your return but I have had around 20 and god knows how many calls, to both club and community leaders around Blackburn.

Currie and Battersby I know little about, some BRFCS members have more info on them as they know them, Still not clear why they went there as messages are mixed, Speaking to high profile people in last 2 weeks their current mission is also unknown.

One thing I asked one person was could he be part of a consortium to buy rovers with Battersby involved, However he said any consortium Battersby was involved in would be for pure profit which would pretty much rule Battersby out.

I know. You were part of a Venkys PR stunt as I (and others) said repeatedly before you went. You were part of a hoax to fool people that Venkys listened to the fans and cared.

I never heard any boo's until fulltime today, and thought the Ewood crowd was quiet, No-one got on Keans back until we went behind and no one got on the players back. Kean got abuse for last 5 minutes but on the whole it was just a quiet crowd neither singing encouragement or abuse. The performance was one of the worst in Kean's reign and it was prob the first time were I felt the players were not playing for Kean.

On supporters I agree Rovers are a unique situation, OWNERS FROM HELL, But as Sunderland have shown just 2 matches of the majority of crowd crying for change brought it, and by bringing it they got a manager we would of given anything to have,

Its desperate times now, and to be honest I think Rovers confirmed today they will be going down, and even a new manager would struggle to save us, as a Sam Allardyce are hard to come by

I agree that realistically no manager can save us but there was booing during the game.

In fact I remember chants of Kean out when the corner came in for the first goal.

Also some amusing if immature Kean chants from the darwen end bunch in the first half.

Very off atmosphere though, grim acceptance it seemed like.

When someone dies, we all grieve in different ways. You'd do well to remember that.

The other thing is that there seems to be a fetish these days to film everything and stick it on YouTube. Not your fault but it is likely to put a lot of people off joining in. Especially a non-organised protest where things could easily spill over.

I noticed at least 3 (West Brom?) fans frogmarched from the stadium during the game. The potential for flare up was high today.

Call those excuses? Fine but it doesn't help your cause to start turning on your own. No matter how frustrated you are.

I've always respected, admired and supported your stance, and even joined in protests but you're in danger of becoming the anti-Kean.

Things need to start "spilling over"

I still think Rovers can stay up but only with a new Manager.

17th will do it and Wolves, Wigan and Bolton are as bad if not worse than us. At seasons end we just have to have done better than those 3. Its still possible and my glass is half full but the previous 24 drained dry.

the inital purpose of the trip was to open a channel of communication between the fans and Venkys... at every subsequent meeting we (the FF) have asked for feedback on the trip and how to develop the channel of communication that we had believed we had opened - I think it would be fair to say the impression I get is that certain people within the club are just as frustrated at the lack of a 'follow up' from the situation we felt had been cultivated

My own personal opinion is now that Venkys have got themselves into a position and they don't know how to get out of it and this indecision is giving Kean more and more time which in effect is killing (and I don't think thats over egging the situation) the club in its current format.

We don't have many high profile, local stakeholders so I'd imagine that people within the club who want a change with either Kean and/or Venkys are probably pushing these people behind the scenes to make their voice and opinion public.

Still waiting to hear what you think my attitude is... :xmas:

Nonsense.

EVERY club has a minority that will go to the lengths of marches, protests outside the main stand etc- I've been one of those fans.

The rest will just do their usual matchday routine- they are still fans and most of them are still upset.

The cameras and mics are present inside the ground, so it's most vital that a load of fans vent from the stands- today thousands did.
