I was salivating at the radio this morning listening to that alcoholic Brazil going on about how "out of order" the Rovers fans were last night.

I felt like a rabid dog.

Adrian Durham was the same on Talksport last night stating that Kean was never given a chance at Rovers and perhaps he would have done better if the fans had supported him from the off!!

They fail to acknowledge that if it were at any other club, the protests would have started a long time and would have been far more poisonous. The guy was given a chance and has failed. What do they expect the fans to do? Fans at Liverpool and Man United protests about their owners were so much bigger and more vicious. But they are seen as real fans. The double standards are sickening.

The problem is that Kean is taking the flak for the whole Venky's operation. To see 20k supporters hurling abuse at one man for 90 mins did, to people who dont know much about the situation, look cruel, simply from a human perspective.

From my point of view I do feel a small amount of sympathy as it wasn't pretty to watch, and I have no time for the man whatsoever. However, the protests and the scale of the anti-kean chanting has steadily increased over the last 4 months and Venkys kept him there. A night like last night was bound to happen sooner or later. Yes it was ugly but eventually Kean was going to lose one of these six pointers at home and it didn't take a rocket scientist to predict the fans reaction.

So many pundits are seemingly unaware of the larger picture. The protests against Kean represent the fans feelings towards our ownership in general. Everything that made this football club successful, sustainable and efficient has been ripped away, and Im 99% sure that if this had happened at Liverpool or Arsenal, the media would have a completely different reaction.

A small northern club's fanbase protest because they dont like their manager. Its too easy a shot to miss.

Come on lads, DO NOT take talksport seriously, they go for the inflammatory, fans are a load of morons line every time.

If the plonker finally goes, the media will forget all about this and move on to the next target.

I know, I know, its just you're driving to work, desperate for some news on whether he's gone, and they are the only station talking about it. What angers me, is that, yes they are a joke of a station, but its like a domino effect, people listen to it and repeat what they hear, so their view gets taken on by the man in the street.

"but eventually Kean was going to lose one of these six pointers at home"-------we've played 9 home games and lost 7!

Ferrit, yes and yes. We are being very very closely watched.

It's pathetic when owners of a football club feel the need to monitor social media to ensure that 'lies' aren't being told about it.

Here's a PR tip to our owners: Actions speak far louder than words. If you don't want "lies" spread, be open, honest and transparent. If you want to win, employ a winning manager and hire a winning team. When you're shopping at the bargain bin, it's best to avoid talk of top 10 finishes, Europe and cups as it: a) undermines your credibility; and, b ) angers supporters who feel they are being treated as fools.

I dont think its anything corrupt going on - Just that they cant afford / dont want to pay Kean off by sacking him.

So are they really billionaires? Or are they just wannabes pretending to be something they aren't?

Glen, is it true your meeting with the club has been postponed until January?

Think that could be significant

Seriously, did anyone expect the club to keep its word? I didn't.

Mrs D is involved in a meeting right at this moment, this doesn't mean that Kean is deffo getting sacked but safe to assume that his future is being discussed.

I certainly hope so. And that Hughes is being brought in with a strong writ and a fat wallet for transfers. We are sunk without some proven expertise at the helm and maybe even so, then.

There is a remote chance that Venkys have been paralyzed because they didn't know how to react following the disasters which have occurred over the last 12 months. Hopefully, that is passing and they are getting their house in order. Personally, I doubt it.

Kean has probably managed to persuade her to give him more time. Because as we all know, the only explanation for Keans horrible record (for a whole year!) is the recent injuries that he keeps talking about...

Venkys bought us for the publicity and they want to keep things cheap. Kean puts up with their horrible attitude towards the club, because he is a lucky son of a bi@tch to still be in this position.

We will all be hoping to see him finally sacked today. But remember, this is Venkys we are talking about, they dont understand anything and they dont care!

Kean will still be here in January, we all know it. "Judge me in february" blablabla. Someone please shoot me?? :(

this Sham has gone on long enougth with this charlatan in charge..venkys either sack him and invest or just sell up/walk away..

but when you gave him a pay rise WTF was that about ? do venkys give big pay rises to people who can't do their jobs in venkys other businesses ??? is that the norm ? NO I don't think so hence the rumour mill goes into overdrive...so just what is going on ??

Looks like the media are starting to feel some pity for Kean today. I can understand it to an extent because he is a human being and the emotional backlash last night must have hurt him, but it is Venky's fault that it has come to this. Venky's had the opportunity to get rid at the end of last season and several times earlier this season to make a change.

Kean won't resign because of the money and the likelihood that he won’t get a managerial job anytime soon. I think most of us would be doing the same if we were in his position. Venky's for the good of all parties need to put him out of his misery.

From what I have read on the internet and then adding things together, this seems to be what I have - The Venkys have had a meeting somewhere this morning (not sure if its in england, but they do have a place in London I think) and Steve Kean is is as we speak on a train to London. So Im assuming the Venkys are London and have had there meeting and have asked Steve Kean to come to London for whatever reason/result/outcome of there morning meeting. I could just be adding up the wrong things tho.

To be perfectly honest, in all this the way Venky's have treated Kean has been a disgrace.

They know he is not up to it, they know he is having to put up with horrendous levels of abuse and they know that he must be close to cracking up under all the pressure. They know that the only humane course of action is to put him out of his misery and sack him. He can't resign as he has been handed the best contract he will ever receive in his life.

Will the Venky's put him out of his misery? This is a family who lives off the slaughter of living creatures. What do they care about acting with dignity? Their entire performance as owners of Rovers has been shameful.

I'm actually feeling that Kean himself has turned into yet another victim of Venky's and the greed of Jerome Anderson. Kean takes the heat of Venky's and Anderson continues to represent a man clearly out of his depth, and clearly suffering from an intolerable situation.

BRFC 2011 - run by a thoroughly detestable bunch of people.
