  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

"@jezbutler: Kean defiant as always at Rovers presser. He is going nowhere. Paul Robinson has a small tear in his calf and is doubtful #brfc #rovers"

There is no way Robbo will be here on 1st Feb. I just hope he refuses to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

In a properly run club it would never have come to this - as soon as it became obvious that things were going wrong and the manager had lost the fans then he would have been removed. the reason it looks so bad is because he's still there. Nothing, absolutely nothing could persuade me (and i suspect the vast majority of other Rovers fans) now that he is the right manager for Rovers but he's still here and so the protests go on. No manager should have to go through it say the other managers - they are correct but Kean doesn't have to either. If Mrs Desai genuinely liked him she'd get him out. If his agent cared about him, he'd pull him out. If kean cared he'd resign. If he cared for his family he'd resign. The problem is not us - it's them!!!!!!

This is the problem gumboots. We are all in completely uncharted territory here. No way would he still be here under normal circumstances.

We are all having to face the fact that we may not have a football club this time next year.

And we are supposed to just smile, clap and carry on watching our club die.

I'm really not fussed what other fans think of us, we're doing what's right, we're doing what's best for this great club!

100%.

Like I say this towns proud football club is going to hell on a dustcart and only the fans really care.

Just who the hell do these people think they are to stick the boot into the fans for giving a damn.....you can p1ss off too Ferguson you two faced sod!

:angry2:

Not once have any of these managers commenting been asked "Do you think, given his record, he should still have a job?". This is clearly an LMA smear campaign and the whole media are in on it.

And in my opinion, orchestrated by our own cockney Spiv, Jerome Anderson!!

I don't think the LMA and the like understand the club is a huge part of our town. This isn't just about BRFC this is about Blackburn as a town and a community.

This isn't a London, Manchester or Liverpool big city club, this is a town club where the football team is the heartbeat of the town. We are fighting for our town and our identity and l for one will protest against whoever l think is putting the club at risk.

Moyes, Redknapp, Ferguson and rest of your buddies in the LMA - all you can see is one of your own getting shouted at. We the fans can see the heart of our town being ripped out, THATS why we are so passionate and THATS why we are so angry.

We have the whole town and club at heart where as your "Union" only has the interests of it's own members (or one in particular). There is a bigger picture, they just couldn't care less about it.

As far as I can work out kean is still counting Salgado as injured. He was just on Ssn and said that it's impossible with 5 defenders out injured. So that's dann, givet, olly, nelsen + 1. Must be Salgado hes talking about as he mentioned the others in the interview. Same old lies.

There is no doubt some kind of campaign being orchestrated.

It will only lead to him being here for the next 2 games then, on 10 points after 19 games, even they won't be able to keep defending the indefensible.

However, what if they only need him in charge for the Jan transfer window? They can get a load from agents fees and fire sales then?

Players are sold at a premium in january, so a perfect time to sell, compared to the summer when we are relegated and people know we'll be desperate to sell. If they want to maximize their return the players who bring in the most money and high wage earners will be offloaded in January and we'll have Steve Kean and academy players for the rest of the season.

Probably bring in £15-20m in players sales and £4m in saved wages etc. Then place the club into administration in June, they'll walk away having made a profit and increasing their brand name.

Superb post.Blackburn Rovers really is the heartbeat of this Lancashire town and has been since 1875.

It really does feel like the whole town is coming under attack for no reason at all. This vitriol against our supporters feels like its been taken to another level, almost a smear campaign to divert attention away from the real problems...just what is the real agenda here?

I have no idea if this is what will actually happen or not, but surely if our best players get sold in January then someone somewhere who has some influence must start getting some alarm bells ringing. It's outrageous that they could actually do this and get away with it. If this is Venkys plan, and they succeed, then the football world will have all the sympathy in the world for us, but by then it'll be too late and it will mean nothing.

Bugs me with this. Against Bolton Lowe and Samba were first choices and both played. Hanley filled the other centre half position and isn't new to that. We struggled with Ped at left back - but that's only one position out of the back four.

We're only Blackburn fans SG, little insignificant Blackburn fans. We're not Man U, Spurs or any of the other media lovie fans, we're Blackburn fans who should do as were told and not cause any waves. By Christ are they in for a shock, they ain't seen nothing yet.

On a side note, if memory serves me right the yellow and green lot at OT got a lot of decent write-ups as did the Spurs fans protesting about the ground move. It all depends on who you support as to how your protest will be perceived.

Me too Den. It's just yet another Kean excuse - we've had plenty of games with our first choice defence and results have been just as poor. When we get Givet and Olsson back it'll be because Nelsen's been injured all season. The man's full of ######.

EDIT: just seen Kean on SSN, milking the Fergie quotes for all he's worth, calling the abuse 'vicious' and looking upset. Slimy little turd.

As infuriating as it is to watch, Ferguson is only doing what he always does; acting in the best interest of his team.

Whoever we had as manager we would be massive underdogs at Old Trafford, but with a new and popular man in charge and the fans back onside we would have an outside chance.

Under Kean we have no chance whatsoever and Fergie is just doing his bit to see that it stays that way.

I just hope that Kenny don't trample over our memories by doing the same thing.

We shouldn't read too much in to Fergie's comments. He has a general empathy with fellow managers; always has. He also knows what it's like to work under disgraceful club ownership. Maybe there's a general feeling of sympathy for Kean within the game as the owner's shortcomings are becoming more widely known.

Kean just been on SSN.

He continues to point to the podcast with Kamy from months ago as proof that he talks with the fans. Mentioned that the more recent plan to talk to [the likes of Glen] was for the "highly experienced board" and that he would make himself available.

Dalgliesh has also spoken but was careful in his choice of words.

Protesters arrive at Brockhall.

Later, Robbo gives thumbs up to them.

Later, Kean announces that Robbo is injured.

Coincidence?

I thought Big Sam's interview was a very thinly veiled dig at Kean's ability.

Not sure about Robbo link. Although I did say when it was mentioned on here that he will probably go in January.

I watched Sam with interest. Very clever bloke. It was obvious he was being very careful. Also interesting that RFW is siding with his fellow Scot given that he replaced his mate Sam.

Also forgot to mention in the Kean interview. He is willing to meet fans (again - as though it happens all the time) but only in "an environment where it is safe". He's really milking it.

Riverside Ultras, whoda thunk.

that interview made me so angry.

The guy is going to get himself hurt soon, someone will end up going that far - and it will be just as much his own fault!

the lma and other clubs comments on our matters can clumsy, hit shift + 8 again!! right off. They dont care about our club WE DO.

KEAN OUT. KEAN OUT. KEA........

I dont dare say it three times.
