I do feel a pang of sympathy towards Steve Kean because he's been given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the sort of which you're hardly likely to turn down.

However, it's painfully obvious that he can't manage a ###### up in a brewery.

Defeat, and another step closer to Burnley.

No sympathy from me.

Don't blame him for taking the job necessarily, but it's painfully obvious he's out of his league. He's done nothing but antagonise the supporters almost since the day he arrived, and is thick as thieves with the cretins who are pushing out club towards oblivion.

He deserves everything he gets.

I know there's far from 9 people working on Rovers 1st team, it's mainly just Howard n Rush. one of the biggest issues we have is a lack of scientific knowledge, not one Phd, disgrace. I know Howard is doing one but at best it will take him 6 years. I do wonder how much has just been transplanted from man city? I too know 1st hand exactly how city structure everything and it's alright for maintaining fitness levels but it won't get us to the levels we need to be. Rovers desperately need more expertise in this area.

So what do the other staff members do then??

Duncan Robertson - Club Doctor

Mark Howard - Head of Sports Science

Chris Rush - Senior Strength & Conditioning Coach

Chris Wilding - Strength & Conditioning Coach

Dave Fevre - Head of Sports Medicine

Paul Kelly - First Team Physiotherapist

Mark Palmer - Chartered Physiotherapist

Mark Holmes - Masseur

Stewart Welsh - Masseur

Kean said: ‘No disrespect to The Rest of the World (MPs, journalists or former players) but I’ve had vastly experienced managers phoning me up and telling me I’m doing a magnificent job.'

The cure for CHICKEN POX is a Swift jab

It's easy to get sucked into the idea that opposition, yes opposition, managers have given kean a further lifeline but even without that he would have found some other reason to be 'positive' about the situation and 'confident' in his own abilities.

It is interesting the spin he puts on this - many comments in the press from managers are mainly sympathy for the stick he is getting and increasingly, the lack of support from the owners. However, very few say he is actually doing a good job. Only an idiot would say they are doing a good job in our position.

who cares what royal red nose says? He blames Rovers for the current finacial climate as he feels we started the multi million pound craziness, he'd like nothing more than to see us relegted. Managers sticking together my arse, managers seeing the relegation places cut down to 2 and the supposed reason for the current finacial madness, gone.

And yet the deluded one sees nothing but roses.

This post could maybe have gone into a few threads but may give a way of getting a few points across to the media

For those of you who went to Turf Moor and remember the rendition of songs to the tune of My Lord originally sung by Villa fans.

The same simple ditty is used now in chants of 'Time to go Keano, time to go'

Surely it would be easy to get several points across and still to support the team with chants such as,

"Jerome Anderson Keano, Jerome Anderson......."

"Who got Sam sacked Keano, who got Sam sacked....."

"Champions League Keano, Champions League......"

"John Williams Keano, John Williams......."

"Ronaldhino Keano, Ronaldhino..."

"Myles Anderson Keano, Myles Anderson....."

"We'll finish top ten Keano, we'll finish top ten....."

"Agents fees Keano, agents fees ...."

"New contract Keano, new contract...."

"What's the debt Keano, what's the debt..."

etc., etc.

Finish off that with a highly ironical " Stevie Kean is a football genius." and it's difficult to see how the self serving football media and LMA could knock the fans as they have been doing.

Read this quote elsewhere. If memory serves he precedes the quote by dismissing the fans concern. In essence what he is saying is he doesn't care about the fans or anyone other than himself because he has had some support from "other managers" over the fact that he is getting some stick.

He's not bright enough to work this out for himself, he's being coached and assisted by spin doctors (wonder who?)

The first campaign was all about giving him enough time to put his stamp on the team-------"judge me after the next transfer window"etc. We did.

The second was to claim 99% of fans supported him and if only they'd turn on the 1% trouble-makers, all would be well. Didn't work.

The third is to portray him as a victim of vicious attack from moronic fans-----no mention of the 1% anymore. In fact his claimed fear of danger shows the opposite to be true.

Prepared to use his wife and children to assist him in the cause. League managers rushing to help etc--doing a magnificent job with all these injuries etc.

The ground is shifting because the one thing he needs to save himself won't come--------results.

Only one part of the campaign remains consistent---------that the owners support him 100% and won't sack him.

Endless repetition of this claim is not aimed at us, the fans, its a none too subtle reminder to Mrs Desai of promises made and the costs inherent in breaking them------financial and otherwise. They even talk of what they'll do after relegation now-----what happened to "this club should be 4th or 5th"? Yet there is no mention of sacking him.

In short, we have a nasty piece of work on our hands here such as we have never encountered before and in league with wealthy and influential people.

We have 3 people analysing training & performance as well, yet we're still ######!

Out of that I only see 3 fitness coaches and wilding and Rush are with a 1st permantly for the 1st time ever.

The rest of them will have little to no input on the fitness training, they will be more rehabilitation (physio's, doctors, head of medicine), so aren't involved in the fitness aspect. Football clubs are always in the main very compartmentalised with little to no serious overlapping. They may discuss things but all the daily sessions etc will be drawn up by Rush N Howard, no-one else. Doctors, physio's won't get involved until an injury occurs so can't really be considered part of the process fitness wise. I'm not even going to consider a massuer as a contributer as they only do one thing rub downs and I've never heard of one pulling a hammy whilst doing his job. I doubt the club doctor is there everyday and he'll be there mainly for illnesses etc, so again not part of the process.

The other factor you need to consider is experience, feel free to check them all out most of them are on linkedin. We lack experience, we lack expertise, I am far more qualified than all of them science wise. You see when I look at the staff list I see 2 seperate departments, Howard, Rush N wilding forming fitness etc and the rest the medical department run by Fevre.

As you say we also have 3 people doing analysis and yet they are all also very inexperienced and that's the issue, we lack experience and knowledge. The other factor we must consider is Kean, football is like a dictatorship, what the manager says goes, who's to say Kean isn't ignoring people advice, pre-season makes me think he's not been listening.

We could employ 100 people in this area, but if we don't have expertise and knowledge then the numbers don't matter. And that's before I ask where the rest of the SS staff are, psy, nutrtion, recovery etc??? I honestly feel that finance was the most important factor when hiring recently and that's no reflection on Rush N wilding as Rush is rated well (up N coming wise) but if they don't have the holistic expertise they will struggle as SS is the biggest field in Science these days with close to 250,000 papers per annum published, good luck reading them all in a year.

I know, in the summer, the reporting lines from the doctors/physios changed in that they were to report directly to Steve Kean - previously they reported to someone on the board. Generally, reporting directly to the manager is regarded as a conflict of interest.

Contrary to what some people said on here this DID lead to a departure from the club - I know, because I viewed the correspondence involved in relation to it.
