I know, in the summer, the reporting lines from the doctors/physios changed in that they were to report directly to Steve Kean - previously they reported to someone on the board. Generally, reporting directly to the manager is regarded as a conflict of interest.

Contrary to what some people said on here this DID lead to a departure from the club - I know, because I viewed the correspondence involved in relation to it.

Must have been along the lines of if you never question the owners direction for the club we will give you this oppurtunity that you could never dream of getting through honest means and on your merits.

I've just seen Kean on SSN claiming that he is in fact doing a 'superb' job given the circumstances (circumstances to which he has clearly contributed) because David Moyes and Alex Ferguson say so. Is this guy on drugs? Seriously, what kind of man ignores his own horrific record and relies on the patronage of managers who clearly want shot of Rovers? Again, nobody is putting the hard questions to him. That Venky's are the main problem was only hinted at in the powder puff piece.

For those of you not watching 'Gillette Soccer Special" Merson layed into Rovers fans calling us in his own almost incoherent way "scandalous" and "a disgrace" and "never having given Kean a chance".

Failed to respond when Stelling told him about Kean's overall record.

Cottee on the other hand said that fans were the most important people at a club and that Blackburn fans were good fans not noted for this sort of reaction. He continued by saying that if we were so unhappy then we must have good reason and that this needed to be sorted out ASAP.
