  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

With regards to getting the four players in quickly... we have heard it all before. Kean is full of it and deluded. I guarantee it won't happen. It won't be smooth and we will still be panicking come January 31st when Venky's have spent (Please don't use that word again) all.

Bottom line is a draw at Anfield means naff all in the long run because Rovers have already lost their league status IMO, unfortunately I think the challenge is even beyond more skilled and experienced managers. Great result yes but what about Wolves, Everton, WBA and Bolton at home? All ended in defeat and all should have been 3 points for Rovers but they blew it in each of those games.

The premier league is a very unforgiving place and Kean has simply not learnt his lesson time and time again.

Last thing I want to do is stick up for Kean basically because he is a cock but, I think where transfers are concerned the owners are to blame, in summer Kean was aiming 10 million pound strikers and the likes of Witsel and defour in midfield, I would say they were slightly better than what we ended up with.

The owners Hung him out to dry and January won't be any different.

What is the betting we will pick up the American lad who came over in the summer (on loan as its the break out there), another rubbish loanie and a couple of aged has beens after inviting a dozen players over and treating them like fools.

Oh and of course the Venkys standard links to stupid unreachable targets and of course a couple of brilliant targets to miss out on because we wont pay decent money.

I love his quote on the BBC.. "If we can get established players in" Your supposed to be a football manager MR KEAN.. its your sodding job and all you need to do is look at the thread for summer transfers and see dozens of fans who do not work in football and dont get paid 25k a frackin week to live football telling you exactly what you are saying.. moron took you half a season to realise that you need to buy established players and we are not talking established 2nd division tin pot league brazilians and Leyton Orient rejects.

IF YOUR READING THIS KEAN AND YOU REFUSE TO DO THE HONERABLE THING THEN AT LEAST LISTEN TO US.. spending 20m on gambles who mostly play in the same frackin position is not good business. If you have 10m do not split it between 4 players.. please we beg you get a couple of established lads.. or at least one player this time who is an instant first teamer without question marks, you might of got lucky with the Yak but so far not one of the other signings is really consistent and battle hardened enough to manage a dog fight and we are in one.

It's been nearly 2 seasons I believe since we kept a clean sheet away from home  and now we can't even keep a clean sheet at home, so we're screwed both ways.

Wonder where the Steve Kean Christmas Media Tour will start after this momentous result? Sky Sports News maybe.

No we have had one at Arsenal away in April... But we have not had a home/away clean sheet since the Bolton game so 25 games or in total 49 games and 4 clean sheets since Kean took over with an incredibly high negative goal difference not to mention just 33points in 38 league games since he took over and just 11 in 18 so far this season so he is getting worse.

BTW 33 points = relegation in every season bar one since 1992.

I dont see why whenever the players give 100% people are quick to say that they're playing for the manager. Why arent they playing for themselves, their families, the fans, the club? I dont see any correlation personally and if there is its on the same level as it is with the other elements I just mentioned.

One win and we're out of the bottom three, we'll beat United.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhHAHA.

Think you'd have a little too much of the good stuff over christmas, unless you were fishing? In which case, bravo.

Kean said he has given the names of transfer targets to the owners - who does the transfers again, the board back in the UK, or the fools in India along with their chosen advisers at that time?

Presume Mrs Desai rates Andy Johnson too?

Personally don't have a problem with Johnson, he's the type of forward who could compliment yak. We all know yak isn't going to run the channels, but that's definitely a job that Johnson would do.

I have to give Kean a bit of credit for yesterday's result. There's no doubt that we are having a real injury crisis. We put out a scratch back 4 and a reserve keeper and they performed very well indeed.

I know why you say that Ricky, but surprisingly if you look at his career stats, apart from his time at Crystal Palace, his goalscoring record isn't that good. Soon to be 31 as well. Guess he'd be OK for next season.

Years Team Apps† (Gls)†

1997–2002 Birmingham City 83 (8)

2002–2006 Crystal Palace 140 (74)

2006–2008 Everton 61 (17)

2008– Fulham 80 (13)

He can play the role of Jason Roberts for us. 30 goals in last 141 league games. One goal in almost 5 games in last 5 years.

I guess I'm judging forwards on the 'would I rather have him than Roberts' scale. It's actually an extremely optimistic way to judge players as everyone looks like a worldie!!

You'll probably recall me singing the praises of Gary Hooper before he went to Celtic. Just a shame we didn't go for him, always knew he'd be a good one. Bit like the reverse of your opinion of Bale and Lennon den ;)

Don't remember about Gary Hooper - is he doing well?

As for Bale and Lennon - ooohhhh!

Yeah, Bale is a rubbish full back and Lennon still hasn't improved his crossing and final ball. It's a natural talent you either have, or haven't Ricky. :P
