imy9
I asked the question this morning about Venkys wealth to Nick Harris on Twitter, this is the reply: sportingintelligence @sportingintel @imy1875 From what I researched, then saw + checked + based on indep analyis, I'm confident total family wealth/assets = billions Money tied up in assets is a "reasonable assumption" according to Nicko. I give up with the speed these people work. This is what I don't get. If Vinny is back and will supposedly be carrying out the instructions of the Family, why have decisions been put back 24 hours? Surely if there's a decision been made he is just delivering the message? It all points to backing SK i'm afraid, the delays will no doubt be with agreeing sales of players, not as to the tenure of SK. Oh and iirc Vinny is a nephew or something of the Raos. I think. Backroom Tom Posted December 28, 2011 Backroom Share Posted December 28, 2011 Whatever, I think he'll be potted between now & Sunday. martypellowe
But you put your own credibility on the line and said he'd be gone by last wednesday lunch Short of a players' revolution, he isn't going anywhere. Even then, you get the impression he's wearing dead man's boots. Only way he's leaving his cushty position is when he dies of old age on the job. Pete1981
Dont know if anyone has seen this in the comments section of the LT This is the CURRENT situation at BRFC - the FACTS as I have been able to find them through my contacts in last few days (and its not all bad, just most of it) and infomation is now coming out of the club at a rate of knots - all you need are a few good contacts. 1 - J Anderson has NO dealings with the club nor does he hold any financial stake in the club 2 - S Kean does NOT hold any financial stake in the club nor does he have any connection with "Glasgow gangsters" 3 - Everyone connected to the club knows that Keans position at the club is untenable and he needs to go (the ONLY person backing him is Mrs D and this is because she is now good friends with his wife - NOT because she believes Kean is a good manager or whether he will turn it round). 4 - The players DO NOT think Kean is up to the job and believe his position at the club is untennable and want him gone and someone else to come in so we can all start pulling together in the same dirrection (thats verified from 5 different first team players all saying pretty much the same thing). 5 - In the last few months Kean and his wife have been going on monthly visits to Pune OFF THEIR OWN BACK not because Venkys have been ordering them to go. 6 - The club have put feelers out to Mark Huhes and have had a response, he's quite keen to help out but IS wary of the Venkys. 7 - This approach to MH was done by the directors/advisors including the 2 Venky indian reps who come over for the games and NOT Venkys themselves. The directors/advisors/2 Indian Venkys reps are trying to move the situation along so WHEN they do pursaude Mrs D that you have to distance your friendship/managersh ip and the 2 things can't go together and that he has to be sacked then they can move quickly. 8 - These new Israelli advisors are giving the Venkys GOOD, SOUND (football) ADVICE unlike all previous advice from JA and SK. 9 - Venkys like watching the games in Pune all together and don't still understand the need to come to live games and havent much intention of changing the way they watch Rovers. 10 - Venkys are really keen to watch games and enjoy supporting Rovers but don't seem to understand (even now) the full implications when we go down - ie how many players will leave, how much revenue will be reduced and how little coverage the championship gets compared to the premiership) - this remains one of the core problems the advisors/directors are having getting the seriousness of the situation over to the Venkys. 2 - A agreement to sign Andy Johnson was completed in early December by all 3 parties but with the situation at the club I do not know if this transfer is still on course or whether Rovers/Johnson wants to reconsider

Mattyblue
The future of an age old football instiution could be under threat due to the friendship between a middle aged Indian woman and the wife of our former first team coach. Neil Weaver
The way he talks is like no other team in the league has had any bad luck or injury problems. There's been at least 3 instances I can remember this season where one of our players has fouled an opposition player in the box and it hasn't been given. It happened at Liverpool! You can't focus on one side of the luck coin without looking at the other, and regardless of what Kean says we've had plenty of fortune as well - which makes our position even worse, really. I think it was on a podcast a while ago Kamy commented that whatever Kean says is aimed squarely at Mrs Chicken Overlord's ears. Remember she knows nothing about the game (in her own words), is sticking by him when everyone else has seen the light, and these sort of comments start to add up. Just had a look on the official site and today's top story is bemoaning injuries with the implication that we're the only club to have these things happen. Nobody this side of Pune can believe that.
