SD4E
Great piece by the telegraph.. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/blackburn-rovers/8980752/Blackburn-Rovers-year-in-review-2011-Steve-Kean-and-Venkys-most-unpopular-management-team-in-Premier-League.html Where the vote has been hijacked by the dingles (they have a thread on clarets mad) It now reads that the "anti kean protesters" are the biggest issue with the club in 2011' not kean or venkys. Come on people, you know what to do, don't want these dingles to help a national newspaper think the supporters are not the issue.
steve42
Point 5: SK went to India of his own bat. This is defineately correct - I remember it was back in January 2011 (I think) that he went first time. I remember distinctly it being reported that he went on his inititative to get things sorted. At the time he got some kudos for this dynamic move. Whether or not he set up the regular meetings - no idea - but it would certainly fit in with my feelings that the vast majority of his media utterings are essentially aimed at Mrs D to present a positive image of himself - and I´m sure that a regular face to face meeting would help to gloss over any misunderstandings she might have if for instance she read this forum. Taking his wife along as well is a cunning move.

Mercer
But you put your own credibility on the line and said he'd be gone by last wednesday lunch Nothing personal but 3 or 4 times you've said you've heard things and it always comes to nothing, I know this time its just a feeling but still Tom, you can either say nowt or share rumours, speculation etc. Remember, over 90% of football gossip written in the press does not come to fruition. With respect, how many times have some ITK's, and I don't pretend to be one, written that Kean was going, going, almost gone and the clown is still here !!! Have a pop at them !!! As pointed out in a post yesterday, my bookie friend no longer has any sort of market for Kean as he thinks no one at Ewood has a feckin clue whether he's staying or going. Been out and about tonight and heard some interesting stuff. Fact or fiction - I haven't a feckin clue, however, IF CORRECT, Kean will be gone before Saturday. It's simple, time will tell. hesfromburn
I have to agree mercer is as desperate as most rovers fans to see the back of kean, if he cant share info on here and discuss it whats the point of this site??? Its not like he posts then hides away

Don't quote me on that. Marvellous.

Backroom DE. Posted December 29, 2011 Backroom Share Posted December 29, 2011 To be fair to Mercer, I don't think ANYONE can tell us what Venky's are going to do before they do it. There is nobody with sources that close to Desai. The noises that come out of the club are sounds of ignorance, as even those at the club itself at fairly high levels really have no idea what's going on. I'll believe nothing until I see that little yellow ticker bar on SSN saying "Steve Kean sacked as manager of Blackburn Rovers" ... and if that day comes, what a sad day for SSN, they will have lost their best friend Stevie Kean. Jim White might have to be given the day off to recover from the shock.

redroses
i enjoy the rumours of Kean going. It allows my mind to wander and create a stubborn mid table team who can graft a result wherever they feel, upset the big boys and lose every time they've a chance of going into the top 8. Keep em coming!
martmitch
keeping up with the kean out rumours is bad for my health think ill just wait to hear it on the news if its ever gonna happen then at least it will be a nice surprise not a final relief following 10'000'000 false alarms

Kamy100
Kean has confirmed at this morning's presser that he is meeting with the directors this afternoon. He insists that it is to discuss transfers, for all of our sakes I hope that he is wrong and that he is sacked, but sadly can't see it. If Kean is given the go ahead to spend money then there is no chance he will be getting sacked in the foreseeable future.

Recently he refers to the clubs owners in the singular. He says OWNER not OWNERS. This could be in reference to either Mrs D or JA. Maybe nothing, just something I noticed. Well, I havent been near Ewood since October and refuse to do so unless either the muppets see sense and sack Kean or they sell the club, this is not our football club anymore and for me after over 50 years following Rovers (all through the 1960 cup run and couldnt get a ticket for the final) this is the poorest state we have ever been in, stupid owners, poor manager, bottom of the league, no hope for the future and a manager who is not learning from his mistakes!! RibbleValleyRover
Axing the boss does work Got a text saying Kean said he will be here for a long time in his presser and that Fergie told him he is doing a great job. I got a text from Kean saying that Rovers will beat United if they can enter the United half 9 times and also if there is enough dew on the Old Trafford surface. Looks like Kean is pretty confident. HOW CAN HE BE SO ARROGANT?? I've never heard ANY manager say this let alone the worst PL manager ever!! By saying this he is undermining any authority Mrs D has. This situation absolutely stinks!
