  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

HOW CAN HE BE SO ARROGANT??

I've never heard ANY manager say this let alone the worst PL manager ever!! By saying this he is undermining any authority Mrs D has.

This situation absolutely stinks!

Can only think that Kean has part ownership of the club for him to be still in a job with his record thats way below any acceptable level of performance in professional football.

No chance he is getting sacked if he did a press conference today along with his stupid comments.

However, there has been an assurance money will be found to assist with a relegation fight and Kean is optimistic Venky's will deliver.

"We would like to think we can keep the majority of the squad together.

"There will be interest on players, like there is in every window. But we want to keep the squad together and build on it and make sure we can add faces and not take them away.

"That is going to be very important for the next two or three years. We want to keep as many of the young players that we can."

Just seen him on ssn. One thing I have noticed. Recently he refers to the clubs owners in the singular. He says OWNER not OWNERS. This could be in reference to either Mrs D or JA.

Maybe nothing, just something I noticed.

I think that's another one of coco's thinly veiled digs. It'll be at the brothers grim. Probably just to ###### on their chips for not supporting him anymore.

you have too much time on your hands if you have started counting the words on peoples posts, or even copying and pasting them in to Word to do it for you !

Really? It took all of five seconds.

nothing wrong with Mercerman posting his opinions whether they are right or wrong, at least his posts aren`t always aimed at having sly digs or pops at people.

When that "opinion" is proven time and time again to be completely baseless?

He continually misleads people into thinking Kean is going to be sacked next week.... the week after... the week after that. If he really has no clue what Venky's are planning (like the rest of us), he shouldn't be posting that rubbish.

Thing is, all it would take is for one journalist to say "7 wins in 38, bottom of the table, overall worst manager in the history of the club statistically, how can you possibly claim you're even doing an OK job let alone a good one?" and I don't see how he could respond to it without sounding like an utter fool.

I'm not sure whether journalist's won't ask him, or whether they're not allowed to.

It's obvious that they are not allowed to otherwise why would they not? Someone would step in and say "Mr.Kean will not answer that question". I believe one poster said that it had already happened once.

He's the biggest tw@t in football history. This "man" has no pride,no morals no management skills and NO ROVERS FANS support him(well apart from a few little trouble makers). He's a shitbag and is as cunning as a baghead in a market. I can't wait until someone fills him in. With the way our fans are feeling it'll be a case of WHEN and not IF. Trying to get rid of Coco is like trying to topple a 3rd world dictator. Near impossible but it can be done. Here's to hoping!

I see Carlo Ancelotti's heading to PSG.

Owners with money and sense. Must be nice.

Shed loads

And they also own Harrods. Venkys prefer Hatcheries.

It's obvious that they are not allowed to otherwise why would they not? Someone would step in and say "Mr.Kean will not answer that question". I believe one poster said that it had already happened once.

I mentioned that in the media thread but it was a second hand account.

I'd love someone to confirm it.

He would just say. "it is because of the injuries".

I think Kean has now made me as deluded as him. Every day I have hope eternal that he has buggered off/been sacked/kidnapped by aliens/moved to Pune, every day I check the news hopefully, every day my hopes fade and die.

Is this healthy for a full grown man to still believe this will happen in the near future? or should I revert to muttering incoherently and posting inane ramblings

The idiot seems to think we can buy ourselves out of trouble. The problems with this strategy are:

1- We are as poor as a church mouse. Rovers won't have much to spend.

2- Kean's transfer record is pretty shocking, not only in terms of the quality of players he has brought in so far but also identifying the areas that need strengthening. It's so obvious that the midfield is the no.1 reason why we are so defensively shocking, Kean thinks he can fix that with two full-backs and a striker.

3- Kean is so tactically inept that just bringing in new players isn’t going to keep us up.

He would just say. "it is because of the injuries".

That line has bought him time and sympathy. If it wasn't injuries, it'd be something else.

He's clever how he uses his excuses though. E.g. I'm not going to make excuses but we have a lot of injuries just now and that's unfortunate.

Didn't someone tell him a little while ago that his record is relegation-form?

And he just said 'I don't agree with that'.

Phew. I was worried for a sec.

I remember that. If I recall his counter argument at the time was that points were not a measure of how good a job a manager was doing. His thought process was that if your squad increases in value then you are doing a good job.

Lies, damn lies and statistics, eh?

"Over the last 43 minutes or so, we kept a clean sheet at Anfield. That's something yer Chelseas and yer Manchester Uniteds would be delighted wi and it's something werselves will take as a positive. That's the form I'll look to continue and take us up the table."

Am I the only one that thinks it's bizarre just how much media coverage Kean is getting- all positive, by the way.

Main story AGAIN on Sky Sports News.

You're mistaken Matty. It's the norm.

Don't you remember the same thing happening with Christian Gross and Juande Ramos at Spurs, for instance?

Looks like he's going nowhere. Cauldron of Hate again on Monday then.

I wonder if the club (I find it difficult to type Rovers there) actually realise what effect he will have on next years season ticket sales. Say we are at 15,000 now, should numbskull still be incharge over the summer it is realistic to expect season tickets to be about 6,000. I can honestly say that I reckon 4 out of every 5 people I know are 'unsure' if they would bother next year in the Championship.
