Recommended Posts

You'll be getting abuse if you carry on like that. The man is a deluded liar and a fool. Oh yeah he's a toss football manager who couldn't even make it as a number 2. Run for the hills and take Coco with you!!!

Don't let this idiot wind you up he's just a WUM spammer. As pointed out previously just look at his name in reverse.

Leroy Rosenior described Kean as 'out of his depth' on the Premier League Show earlier.

Good on him, need a few more to get on board now instead of fawning about how it's so unfair and how 'dignified' he is.

He got it spot on, Owners - never here, Manager - out of his depth, Players - not good enough, Fans - furious !

If he can see it as it is then why cant the other gimps in the media

......... did he do one?

Think hes going to get run out of town anytime now if he doesnt do one.

Just dont think the late Jack Walker could even save Kean now, not that Jack would have entertained the man in the first place, such is the anger hes built up against himself here in Blackburn.

SAVAGE ``AMAZED'' KEAN STILL IN A JOB

By Alex Lowe, Press Association Sport

Former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Robbie Savage claims manager Steve Kean has avoided the sack because the owners want a 'yes man' in charge.

Blackburn are bottom of the Barclays Premier League table and Kean has been the subject of ferocious abuse from supporters, some of whom are boycotting the FA Cup third-round tie against Newcastle in protest.

Savage maintains Kean is not the right man for the job but he believes Venky's would have sacked him after the home defeat to Bolton if they were going to make a change.

``I still don't believe Steve Kean is the right man for Blackburn. You have got to judge him by results and they haven't been good enough, they are bottom of the Premier League,'' said ESPN football analyst Savage, who will be working with the broadcaster as part of their FA Cup third-round coverage this weekend.

``I am amazed he is still there. I think if he was going to get sacked they would have sacked him by now. The Bolton game was probably the all-time low as a Blackburn fan.

``If you are not going to get sacked then, I don't think they will sack him.

``The owners don't go to the games. I think they have got their perfect man in charge of the football club, he is not going to really argue with them.

``Who would want to take the job now?''

Savage may not believe in Kean's managerial ability but he respects the man's dignified reaction to the torrent of criticism he has faced.

``I felt sorry for him, to be honest,'' Savage said.

``The way he was treated by the fans was a joke. Steve Kean has been really dignified and it was probably two fingers up to everyone with that (3-2) win at Old Trafford (on New Year's Eve).

``But they lost to Stoke. Saturday is a huge game for him. The FA Cup is a massive part of Blackburn's season this year.''

Yeah, the second half of Sav's article is a joke.

Where's the sympathy for the fans? They're the ones who pay to watch the crap being served up by Kean and his employers. All Kean has to do is turn up, lose football matches, and pick up £££££ for the privilege. When all's said and done, those fans will still be at Ewood supporting the side, caring about their club, whereas Kean will have retired in Marbella, chinking wine glasses with his old pal Jerome.

I still don't get this 'dignity' people rave about, either. Kean has continually lied through his teeth to the fans and tried to pull the wool over their eyes (like he apparently has done to the media). He isn't powerless here. He could save himself a whole lot of trouble by resigning. Instead, he's stubbornly clinging on to the job and to hell with the consequences of the club.

Also, I couldn't give two s***s about the FA Cup. Just another tournament for Kean to 'forfeit', although I guess Sav has to hype it up for ESPN.

EDIT: I feel like Frank Grimes in The Simpsons, where he's the only one who can see Homer's a complete buffoon.

I'd rather have my players fear and respect me than like me/feel sorry for me.

Respect yes fear no, friends definitely not. Staff and players alike support him and like him and that is a difficult model to break, he's obviously very good at building relationships, as further evidenced by Pune's lack of action. No one will get anywhere whilst those remain.

Basically Savage is amazed Kean's still in a job, labels him a 'yes man' but is somehow baffled by the supporters' frustrations at these very things. What an idiot he is.

I honestly don't get it. Could someone who was at the game please tell me how he was treated? There's an awful lot of people weighing in who (like me) weren't at the game.

There's repeated reference to vitriolic abuse. How much of this did he actually receive? If any?

A lot of chanting and banners- all based on us wanting him out, nothing more.

Plus, there was the infamous image of that bloke getting to the edge of the dugout, what was he saying? 'KEAN OUT'.

It's typical media hyperbole, one manager says it was 'disgusting' and everybody else falls in line.
