Mods, I know it's not really the done thing but can you get rid of this idiot?

There's an adequate 'Ignore' feature that will do the job for you ;)

Basically Savage is amazed Kean's still in a job, labels him a 'yes man' but is somehow baffled by the supporters' frustrations at these very things. What an idiot he is.

Apparently the frustrations have to evaporate for 90mins, even when the team's losing miserably.

I do think the Blackburn fans have let themselves down big

time in this, not so much for the protesting but for the pure

hatred they've aimed at the wrong person.

Spot on Maps. We should perhaps have lit his wife in a chip shop. It worked with you lot rem... Mullen left before he'd eaten his chips.

Why do so many people within the game (players, other managers, coaches etc) hold him in such high regard?

Because they want six easy points.

And the media want us relegated.

Conspiracy theories aside, Sam Alardyce fought tooth and nail to get him signed as assistant - and didn't Chelsea also try to get him at one point (possibly because of the portuguese)?

Sacked as assistant manager by Fulham

Sacked as assistant manager by Real Sociadad

Sacked as assistant manager by Coventry

Not a fantastic CV!

Fat Sam employed him as a coach NOT and assistant. He was that low on the food chain nobody even knew he was at the club. We don't need any more lies painting him in a better light thank you

Aye but these weren't for the positions of manager. Some people aren't cut out for it.

Kean has no shame - he's blameless for everything !!!

Now seems to be blaming Sam for Hoilett not signing !!!

Steve Kean, in what may be interpreted as a dig at his predecessor as manager, Sam Allardyce, has said the club should have shown greater faith in Hoilett when he moved to Lancashire in 2010. "A couple of years ago when we only signed him for two years we should have made that a longer contract," Kean said.

And then he wonders why he gets what he gets.

Something has to give at some point in all this. He can't go on making these ludicrous statements ad infinitum.

He was talking about socks earlier for goodness sake! Other managers were laughing and joking about players cutting the feet out of their football socks and taping the "sleeve" to tennis socks - but not Steve, it was a new field of science to him. You could argue that maybe he's right and everyone else is wrong... except he's steered his team to 20th in the league with his ideas.

I fear for Kean's mental health and/or his safety if this carries on much longer.

you been drinking ???

Would Hoillet have signed a longer deal? He's always seemed a bit more clued up that way.

He still has a LOOOOOONG way to go before he can be classed as a decent player though. His final ball is shocking as is his consistency. His career can still go either way

Steve kean says Rooney is a venky target after handing his transfer request... Venkys odd goodwillie has his replacement because he's the new Rooney

The job was advertised and he applied

I see Savage has hammered Kean in the press again, nice one Robbie, a Rovers legend in my eyes, who actually gives a s**t about the club :tu:

He also said the fans booing Kean were a joke, but hey.

Kean seems to have accidentally forgotten this from 10 months ago. Maybe he should be looking at himself rather than trying to blame his predecessor.

Speaking as a former player he has a point, booing the manager during games isn't helpful to the players.

Booing is a symptom of Steve Kean's management. It's not the cause.

I agree but there's nothing more unhelpful to players than having Steve Kean in charge.

Having a bit of back and forth with one of The Guardian's sports editors/podcasters in light of yet more silly statements about our fans alleged appalling behaviour against Bolton. I would encourage you all to get involved here.

I had my say. It's actually quite a good way of venting your frustrations to people who aren't Rovers fan. I got a typically smart arsed reply from Glenndinning, who fails to grasp that the 'abuse' Kean got after the game was no more than any other manager has received, but instead focuses in on a couple of yobs throwing bad language at Kean after the Bolton game. It's nice to see a Spurs fan seeing the light and sticking it for Rovers.

Go to football match. Press off on emotions button. Cheer blindly. Lose. Leave ground. Switch emotions button back on. Be angry. Go home.

Interesting, as someone else picked up recently, that Kean refers to 'owner' now rather than 'owners' - also, no India trips recently for the big man?
