Venkys should never have allowed the situation to get this bad (Kean out the door months ago at the latest). It really is unbearable. The game today, I couldn't give a fiddlers, we are quite obviously finished.

You are absolutely correct.

Kean's position is now simply untenable and who in their right mind, as per Daily Mail article, would put themselves and their family through that. IMO, tells you all you need to know about the man.

I hate this guy more and more each day. For what he has said towards legends etc is a disgrace. I don't know where to turn anymore, I don't live near Blackburn so I feel pretty useless with not being able to do anything. As for the game today, I am not even bothered with win, lose or draw - why did it have to be this bad.

I'm supposed to believe that Kean receives 3500 letters of support a week and replies to them all. Yet the only people I know who defend him are people on Twitter from other clubs who don't have a ###### clue what's going on. The article made me mad and thinking about it makes me even angrier. How dare he come out and attack the fans then complain when we boo him, and call for his head. It beggars belief the media stick up for him. I cannot fathom it.

Lawton is nothing buit a two bob bit journalist for a not so well circulated second rate newspaper that has nop reputation for good quality sports news so I would be losing any sleep over whaty he has written. Its not so well informed and in any case its probably been written out for him by someone else.

Its such a poor report and I would beg the question just who is Matt Lawton to question Rovers fans ?

Each and every one of these so called supporters are missing the point of Keans current playing/manergial record at Ewood, I suspect not one of them is willing to talk about it because it will contradict the absolute trash they have all written/spoken to in the media. They have no guts to come out with the rational of every Rovers fan.

For me, the article (not only is it ###### by the way), will only serve to pile more abuse at our incomptent manager.

Kean is not worth any fan losing his liberty by attacking him, he simply isnt that sort of target, I dont know where it has ever been said that he should be assaulted, especially on this forum. No fan has run up to him and punched his lights out, he has simply had the fans berating him for a lack of performance in his job. Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see this.

For Kean to be lead down the line he has taken just shows he is so far out of touch with reality.

I emailed Andersons company and todate still havent had a response because my email centred solely on the performance issues of Kean.

As I just get ready to head Northwards to Ewood I am actually looking forward to listening to the vitriol that is coming his way, WIN, LOSE or DRAW.

KEAN OUT

You have to hand it to Steve Kean's agents, they are doing a superb PR job. In the past 7 days they have managed to get Jerome Anderson airtime on TV and now persuaded the Mail to put some remarkable spin on the appalling record of our failing manager.

The protest leaders need to make direct contact with Rovers-friendly journalists such as Henry Winter at the Daily Telegraph and David Conn at the Guardian to put the fans' point of view. Kean cannot be allowed to get away with this continuing lies.

Indeed! If only we could spent the money used for his PR on buying players or paying for his compensation.

That was the most bile inducing article about Steve Kean that I've read yet. The self pity, snide remarks, delusional statements and lack of tact are all classic Kean, but why people in the media continue to buy it is beyond me. In Steve Kean's eyes, people are having a go at him, so he why shouldn't he be having a go back? This would be understandable if his record as boss wasn't so embarrassing.

As usual his record of 8 wins in over 40 games, having us sitting bottom of the league and playing a key role along with the owners in destroying this club, being the reason for fans protests are totally washed over. We are only doing what any other group of supporters would do. The 'abuse' has only grown to this scale because he's been kept in a job so long. Simple maths really - Steve Kean + 8 league wins + over a year in charge + being kept in charge game after game = more and more fans saying enough is enough. Can you imagine what Liverpool or Chelsea fans would have done by now if they had a manager with a record like that and there was no sign that he was going to get sacked? Obviously it would never have gotten to that stage as the owners would have seen the light long ago and papers like the Daily Mail would have written a piece on how the poor fans of these proud clubs were suffering under the management of clueless fool, who got promoted beyond his ability.

As someone else pointed out people are being killed, tortured and raped in the world, children being abused, people starving and living in poverty that you couldn't imagine and Steve Kean, a man who makes £25,000 a week, in a job he isn't up to doing and is getting abuse for, gets this type of sympathy? Words fail me.

Summed up very well.

He's the chief reporter as well. That said it is The Mail, or the Daily Nazi as it used to be called.

The skeptics amongst us would say that the media are being bought as opposed to 'buying it'. Its hard to imagine any other explanation. It feels like we, as fans, are the victims of a propaganda campaign. Not only is it bad enough that we have to witness our beloved club being disembowelled before our very eyes, we have to be hated for protesting against it. Not fair!

Protesting, caring, being passionate. It's all looked down upon.

And as yet, Kean hasn't had a hair touched on his erm... <_<

... But the press are treating the situation like he's being chased after with flaming torches.

The most interesting thing about this article is what it doesn't say. the headline reads

Unable to walk down the street for fear of attack from his own fans, Steve Kean is... under siege

Nowhere in the article does it say he or his family have received personal threats. Nowhere in the article does it say that the Police have told him they have information that threats have been made against him.

No what is says is that he has received

'information from police that has made it necessary to have a security guard close by, whether he is sat in the dug-out, giving his post-match press conference or at the club’s training ground'.

Considering the headline this is a pretty bland explanation as to why he is in fear of attack. Why did he not mention in detail what all these threats were. Probably because they don't exist. But then again why spoil a good story.

Did he not say that while walking about in the village that people came up to him saying what a wonderful job he was doing,

Well Mr Kean which is it?

this guy wants to make his mind up one minute he's getting people coming up to him saying 'what a good job your doing' next he's saying 'cant walk the street's ' who's he talking to ? people over his garden fence? or perhaps he's on first name terms with the 11 or so supporters on this site!!!

That's a terrible article, the most biased thing I've ever seen.

The comment about Jack Straw is unbelievable, just keeps on attacking our fans doesn't he? I've had a chant in my head all morning since reading the article.

"Grit the roads Jack, and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more."

How many times have we heard "the protests are affecting the players" or "the players don't let the protests affect them"

Which one is it you managerial genius Kean???

Even in this latest piece of drivel he says the "atmosphere is good in the dressing room"

"Sam's got the hump with me" says Kean - as though he's a one off.

No. Sam's got the hump along with John Williams, The LT, the club's main sponsor, the towns local MP, Battersby, White and twenty five thousand Rovers fans. Just for starters. There are plent more as well.

What an amazing gesture....don't know what he is trying to say in the second paragraph - because he offered him a lift, he didn't backstab him?

"For anyone to say I stabbed someone in the back kills me. I was offered jobs before in similar circumstances and said no.

" I phoned Sam the day he was sacked. I said I'd organise for him to come into the training ground and see the players. I said I'd pick him up and drive him in. I couldn't have done that if I'd known anything about it beforehand."
