STEVE KEAN has been promised a transfer war chest which is 'miles bigger' than anything Blackburn have had before — if he can keep them up.

The Rovers chief flew to India this week to meet with new owners Venky's and headed back to East Lancashire full of optimism.

He was assured by the poultry giants that his job is safe for next season even if the Ewood Park club are relegated.

Blackburn go to fellow strugglers Wolves tomorrow, knowing they need to win to guarantee their safety.

Kean said: "It was important to know what type of budget we had and it's very healthy. The wage bill won't be cut, there will be funds available.

"It's a very competitive budget. Miles Anderson is bigger than anything Rovers have had in the past.

"It was all positive and most enlightening for me to hear what they want to do next season and the season after."

Any chance of a journalist reminding him of this press conference from the end of last season and asking exactly what has changed?

Corrected it for you, does it make sense now

;)

With the sycophantic Jim White, the one who called us "idiots" the other week. He was also the presenter when Kean spent that ludicrous half an hour in the studio after the Arsenal game. Is he an SEM client? If not he must be a "friend" of JA.

Apart from 'Arry, has any other manager spent as much time on SSN as Kean?

A lot of managers seem averse to spending more time with the media than necessary, Kean absolutely revels in it.

Sky will obviously enjoy having a PL manager on the channel, beats repeating the same news 3 times an hour.

Perhaps Kean is getting his foot in the door for a media career once(if?) his managerial career comes to an end. Let's face it, no other club will go near him as a manager once he leaves Rovers so going into the media would be a smart move - full of know-nothing failures who think they know everything.

Another interview where the bald one can up himself.

He is so smug at the moment after the three positive results.

He is blessed with such a short memory, but we all remember the run of results prior to that.

I said I won't return to ewood until he is gone and that will not change. He is a snake, end of.

Not fickle, I went to every home match during Kidds, hodgson and Inces reigns. Never booed and was always behind the players on the pitch.

I am still fully behind every single player in blue and white but I will not contribute one penny to that fools wages!

If you have a problem with that then tough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Smooth, composed and growing in stature and diginity by the day - our leader on the TV earlier - so proud!

And guess what, active bids for players have gone in. He is such a slick operator.

I like your plan - he has convinced the media he is a managerial expert - if us fans get behind him, surely it is only a matter of time before he is poached by United ?

My god, that's been the plan all along. We are his stepping stone.

He is the second coming of 'The Choosen One '.

Jose beware he is after your United job when Whisky nose packs in !!!!!

What if, what if he's learning from his mistakes?

It could be possible, I mean apart from the first half against Stoke, we have seen improvements in our play, culminating in Saturday's outstanding performance.

I am aware that the Liverpool result was fortuitous, and that Fulham were bobbins, but he definitely seems to have learned from the disastrous 2nd half tactics against Sunderland.

My stance is:

I voted to give him more time - he had it and blew it

I then voted to jettison him - it ain't happening

I will now try to extract any positives from the situation, however small.
