  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

That's EXACTLY what it is! Just like religion, anyone backing Kean is advocating to complete denial of observation.

Is anyone actually backing Kean (amongst the fans at least)?

I think those speaking in more positive tones, myself included, have accepted the fact that protests (in this instance) are futile, and are getting fully behind the team. Part of the team is the manager, and as the current incumbent is not gonna be changing anytime soon, we have to hope that he improves.

Our last 6 games form guide is identical to Man City. Are we improving, or are they in free-fall?

My vote stays the same.

I guess there's long-term and short-term. Short-term we may go on a bit of a run as Kean endlessly forecasts and its possible to avoid relegation ---just.

However this would be the long-term future of the club on a permanent basis if Kean and Venkys stay.

Venkys clearly have not got the money to fund a Premier League Club, still less a lower league club with all the implications of loss of TV revenue.

So, the best we could hope for is year after year of relegation struggle--------much less than we were promised.

One year of relegation is draining on players and fans alike. 2 years and more would be death to the club. Players would tire of it and the good ones left would surely leave as Samba and Hoilett will.

We'll be promised various treats in the Transfer Window which won't be fulfilled and various characters will be called "the new Best" or the new "the new Colin Hendry" never to be seen again.

Even now we are looking to get a player on loan from Wolves and have invited back the Brazilian agent who engineered the delivery of Bruno Ribeiro to us to oversee our Transfer Window!

We appear destined to be a club in perpetual crisis------key players want out and the crowds are voting with their feet. Lowest Premier League attendance in 3 years on Saturday.

No hope and no future------that's what we're on about. A little run of form means nothing in the long-run if these clowns stay.

I think we should all hope the Kean comes good - because I don't see somebody come into replace him. In a similar way, all the chants for Venky's out - I need to ask the question who is going to replace them ? As with Kean we just have to hope that they come good on their promises. Maybe the protests will put pressure on them to do this - but maybe it will have the opposite effect.

What was nice on Saturday was watching a good game of football without the side show.

here is Steve Kean Interview with SSN today. He sounds in good spirits and the players also look in good spirits aswell. Samba is seen as 8 minute 45 seconds in to the Interview.

Also Good on the Club and Kean for letting SSN into the training ground.

Chaddy - it was a PR exercise !!!!

Just watched the Jim & Steve love-in and worst than I expected.

IMO, most of it misleading bullsh1t - improved communication, successful AGM, load of larfs !!!!!!

Even though we have had a couple of other wins this season, I never felt good walking away from Ewood - mainly because of the side show that you mention. For the first time in ages I felt the buzz and pride of winning and I'd genuinely forgotten how it felt.

Given that City are top of the league and hoping to win it, their recent form does in relative terms represent a slump. However they've taken 13 points from their last 8 games so they are certainly not in free-fall.

We have taken 10 points from our last 8 games which represents a revival for us given our appalling form before that sequence. If we continue at that rate we will accumulate 21-22 points more by the end of the season. That would give us 38-39 points which probably would keep us up.

THEN WHAT?

THEN WHAT?

Kean will be given a Knighthood for services to Sport. He'll also be given a 10 year rolling contract extension and paid 200k a week plus a bonus for lying and being diversive. Rovers will rename the WEC Darwen End, The Kean End, as they can't find a sponsor and, well, you know.

This will be because Venkys can see what he is trying to do and they will provide Sir Steve with the biggest transfer budget in the history of the club, again. Eric Black will leave, at night, and will be replaced by someone else, no one will care or notice.

We'll bid for Messi, Pato and some other fella from South America you've never heard of and they'll all be "desperate" to sign.

Season ticket prices will double as the fans will need to pay top dollar in order to keep Sir Steve as manager according to Jero Desai. The Venkys plot to seize world power and wipe out all Blackburn Rovers fans will be revealed on sportingintelligence and ignored by The FA and the Government.

And finally, in July, Sir Steve will marry Jim White in a civil ceremony at Blackburn Registry Office live on Sky Sports News.

Its funny to see how outsiders see things differently.

I was speaking to a mate in work who's a massive footy fan (Barnsley fan) and he said he hopes Kean keeps his job as he's starting to do well and we play good stuff.

I suppose it doesn't help that our two best wins have been televised when we stuck it to the big boys.

I'm just hoping he can learn on the job and keep us up somehow as there seems no alternative now

Stability? I think we need this more than anything else.

Yes,we all want that. What's the chances with Venkys and Kean? Permanent instability is the future for us. How many fans will give up on us? That process is already underway.

That's because outsiders are;

1) disinterested

and 2) ill-informed.

I'm not giving up, that's for sure. I'll continue supporting Blackburn Rovers for as long as I live.

I was in London as the wife had hospital appt and you know what I don't care or even miss going .. I didn't even know score as I couldn't be arsed.

Can't believe venkys and bum chums have made me feel like this. Will I renew ? It's highly doubtful .

I try and understand this "Don't care about Rovers anymore", "couldn't be arsed about the score", "didnt watch it" etc etc.

I cant though. I think we portray ourselves as "bad" supporters. We should be supporters through thick and thin. I understand that Venkys are the worst owners imaginable and Kean is a horrible manager whome doesnt seem to learn from his mistakes. In my case I am still 100% addicted to Rovers matchesand try to catch them whenever I can. I still think we can make this and I will be at Stamford Bridge in the last game in premier league for maybe a long time or one of the happiest days in my life ( if we stay up). Either way I will still follow Rovers down in Championship , League 1 and League two - be it.

And I will be at more games than one !!

Like I've said many times I won't ever tell locals how to support their team !!!( broncos btw)

And if your 100% addicted try attending a home game instead of lining Chelsea's pocket there's a good fan eh!!!

I think as fans we've been spoilt - other clubs have had owners/managers/players that the fans haven't liked, but we've been lucky (although I suppose Paul Ince disagrees) largely

But now we're locked into such an apparently hopeless situation - fans feel their voices aren't being heard - the owners seem to be content to just muddle on - the manager - we're experiencing the grief/change cycle in public en mass and it's not pretty!

I still support the club, but struggle to support the manager/owners and the decision making - and I think both would have to do an awful lot to convince me otherwise - I wonder if that's how others feel (probably stronger still)

I think some supporters just don't recognise the club as the one they followed for all these years anymore. I mean if you take away all of the things that made the club special to you and made you proud to support them then it can be hard to identify with whats left.

I saw someone post on here a while ago saying that they didnt like the owners, the board, the manager, a lot of the players and some of the fans for their treatment towards the protesters. When you don't like the majority of something i think its hard to support or care for it.

I could've travelled from London to the Rovers game (I did last time when i travelled a 10 hour round trip from London to Stoke-on-Trent (Britannia) all by myself. However I wouldnt be able to bring my wife to Ewood Park that weekend and certainly wouldnt feel it correct to travel to Ewood by myself and leave her in London for a day when we are travelling together.

I didnt try to tell how to support the team only that I can understand that commentators and pundits are perceiving us as a bit plastic.

Resigned: It is still the same crest, the same blue and white halves (I KNOW THEY ARE NOT THE SAME ON THE BACK THIS YEAR), they are still playing at Ewood Park. We are still bringing forward young players with potential (Morris, Lowe, Hanley, Nzonzi, Olsson, Rochina, Formica, Hoilett, Henley, Bunn)

I find this a big reason to still support the team. I am not happy at all with the owners and manager, but I have to admit the Rovers brings out all the emotions (anger, frustration, joy) and I have huge problems with not watching them IF I have the slightest opportunity. I hope they have WIFI on the plane to the Canary Islands so I can catch the Arsenal game on the way down there.

Now Coleman has been confirmed as Wales manager. J wonder if he will want his trusted Kean as his no2. I believe Kean would take.it, if it was offered.

Not that I believe it would happen. The Welsh fa are not as stupid as venkys.

So you've put exactly how much in the rovers coffers ? Stoke away ? Chelsea away?

My mrs can't wait to us being able to afford to go to Denver again even tho she doesn't like NFl so bring yours to Blackburn and put money to the rovers !

Who exactly are describing us as 'plastic'?

I have heard many hopeless commantators on the games against Stoke, Fulham and Wigan I think?

"Yeah, now they are down they start singing kean out - when they are leading everything is rosey". I guess thats just who it is though.
