Sorry bazza, that doesn't make me feel sorry for him.

If anything I think even less of him - as a human being. By carrying on regardless, he legitimises Venkys actions.

I'd rather have nobody that have Kean continue to pretend everything is fine. The club has systematically been reduced to the shell that it is today.

Kean has played his part.

So, if Kean were to be sacked, my question is, who would take over as manager?

David Dunn as player/manager? Or any of the old pros such as Robbo as player/manager?

No proper manager would come here knowing they had no control over players in and players out and also knowing that the owners could instruct them not to pick certain players because of clauses in their contracts.

The whole club is a pathetic joke at the moment.

Agree with your last sentence. My point is Kean has helped make this the case. No way can I feel sympathy - he'll walk away a very rich man.

Under Venkys, it might be a foreign manager, probably an unknown gamble. Our only hope is that when we are in the Championship and Venkys sell to the Ian duo, we can convince someone like Grayson or Newell to take the reigns.

Just because Kean is prepared to work for them doesn't make it right or make me offer ANY sympathies.

That's not your argument.

Your argument is that Kean is a poor lamb for sticking out the job, when he takes (well-earned) flak from the fans, travels to India (his own self-serving choice), and has no structured backing (giving him carte blanche). Steve Kean does whatever's in Steve Kean's best interests, not Blackburn Rovers. And you salute him for that? Blimey.

Don't ever go on Trisha Steve... body language and lies and all that

Wonder if this will provoke Nelson into spilling the beans? So Dave Fevere ruled Ryan out... ? Not long now, keep burning them bridges Steve.

IMO, a feckin disgrace.

Pretty sure that I read somewhere that Spurs had given him a medical.

Levy is the last person you would expect to hand out 6 month contract with a 1 year option to a supposed crock !!!

I think this will come back and bite Kean on the bum.

We keep thinking it will - that someone in the media will spot the glaring discrepancies between what he says and what the actual facts turn out to be, but they never do. I suspect nobody actually listens to him any more and so they can't see what we all see - that he is a liar, who has lied so often he can't even tell he's lying any more.

Never been Keith's biggest fan but that is damning stuff.... it really lifts the lid on the sham that is Ewood Park nowadays.

Footballers treated with no respect, a complete disgrace. That article is damning evidence of what is happening at our club.

Whilst a limited footballer, at least Keith acted with some dignity and pride - something which couldn't be said for Venky's/Kean.

Bar some of the fans, I feel no connection with the club I have loved since I was a boy. It breaks my heart :(:brfc:

avb he is defo gonna get sacked and he needs a job after all and why not rovers

you must have just walked in from a heavy night out to even think that. Firstly he wouldn't touch us with a bargepole and secondly the useless owners wouldn't pay anything for anyone.

"Certain people at tge club wanted me back in the team. They had seen me score goals in the Championship and wanted me back in the team. Whether they thought the Championship was a higher division than the Premier League, I'm not to sure."

Pretty damning stuff - albeit from a bitter ex-player. My interpretation of that, which could be wrong, is that Venkys are picking the team, and still have no clue about the league system. But they must do surely.

Sounds though like Andrews himself accepts that his capabilities are better suited to a lower level though. The piece also suggests that Kean is/was comfortable with his role in the current set-up.

I'm going to take his comments as slightly bitter and embellished for effect but nothing would surprise me.

If/when we are relegated I wonder how Teflon Kean will handle the situation.?

All season long he has literally sworn blind that the club will not be relegated (even though results and league position tell another story),he has placed a noose round his own neck by making those statements and glossing over the situation...the 'positives' have far outweighed the negatives through his tainted vision.

How the hell will this fella spin his way out of that scenario and not drown in ridicule is beyond me,who will the finger be pointed at...the fans?

Make no mistake,Teflon Kean will be giving Aesop a damn good run for his money!

He will ensure that his pals in the media put the blame squarely on Venky's for not 'investing' enough.

Maps. This is exactly why you come across as someone on the wind-up, but I'm starting to think you are a young teenager.

Perhaps you don't understand the context of a lot of the posts, or even some of the sarcasm, as you've not been on the board for long.

Not sure if you've noticed or understood but...

THE CLUB HAS NO MONEY. AVB will be earning lots of pocket money. Maybe £50 per week!

WE HAVE OWNERS THAT ARE NOT INTERESTED. They won't put their hands in their pockets to strengthen the team when the club they call their "baby" is in desperate need.

OUR "MANAGER" HAS A JOB FOR LIFE. Kean won't walk away from his £10 per week pocket money. He likes his Curly-Wurlies!

What makes you think AVB might be a candidate? That he and Kean both speak Portuguese??

He's not the balls to do that Matty,do you honestly think he will bite the hand that feeds his mouth..I doubt that very much.

In a perverse way I cant wait to hear how he will wriggle his way out.

It'll all be the fans' fault, according to old Baldylocks.

Injuries, not enough dew on the pitch and the fans fault probably. He will mention that despite Rovers going down that he has done a great job because he has increased the value of players - the true measure (not points) of how good a job a manager has done.

When we are eventually relegated he should be vilified for bringing down our club.

Instead he'll be deified for bringing down our wage bill.

"Saviour Kean does the rest of football a favour by taking Rovers back where they belong" - Jim White, May 2012.

Meanwhile our League One standard squad will still see wages at 90% of turnover.

Good old VenKean.

A steady away, well drilled, mid-table squad, with experienced, mature and qualified PL players in most positions, requiring a little investment and some additional quality to make a consistent push for the top ten in the world's greatest league, reduced to cannon fodder in 12 short months.

He won't care. Too be honest, I doubt if it will even be put to him. He's talked so much BS that hasn't happened and no one had called him out on it. I don't see it happening again. And even if they did he would just say that he never said that. If I didn't despise the man as I much as I do, I would say that I was actually nearly impressed and found it funny how he has managed to somehow deflect, dodge and avoid any sort of real scrutiny or real questioning. I've never known a situation like it.

Steve loves talking to the press. It makes him appear open and willing to discuss anything and everything. He'll make statements declaring that we are going to make marque signings. That we won't get relegated. That we are playing well. That the majority of the fans are behind him. That players aren't fit to play. That we are going to buy experienced Premiership players. However when the exact opposite happens or appears to be happening (we look like we will get relegated), no one ever points to this. If ever does get a slightly awkward question, he just talks around the issue. He gets away with murder and if weren't happening at my club, I'd find it hilarious.
