  1. 1. Should Steve Kean be sacked

Recommended Posts

I wonder if Mrs D threw a party yesterday for the Arsenal game, like the day of the debacle under Allardyce ot Old Trafford? who knows after a win next week they may sack Kean and put the club doctor in charge for the rest of the season.

Here's hoping!

Our owners have one last roll of the dice to play !

How can they do it ?

Firstly, put Coco on gardening leave until end of season therefore no cash outlay.

Secondly, recruit someone on a short term contract until end of season on low basic by PL standards, however, with £1m bonus to keep Rovers up. Candidates would be Bruce, Curbs, Jones. One of them would jump at that and given that Black is already here, Bruce would be favourite.

Desperation, maybe but as things are, we are goosed.

We might just be in for a surprise as, make no mistake, Venky's by now will know that if we drop, we will be in huge, huge trouble.

why should Kean walk?, he is perfect for Venkys, no wonder they upped his salary, he just lost Nelson, Roberts, Andrews, Salgado and purchased nobodies and he is happy, he is Venkys perfect toy.

There is no human being on this earth more perfect then Kean for Venkys, a man that will lie for them, lie to himself, lie to the fans, mislead the media, protect Venkys, never betray them and basically take it up the a$$ for them as they screw him over.

I actually consider Kean totally irreplaceable for Venkys.

Spot on.

Kean will go when Venky's have gone.

I doubt it. The novelty has worn off now they've realized the reality of owning a football club. That, and of course, they're laughing stock hated by their own supporters.

I was coming along for the ride until the money part mercer :( these lot are not willing to invest.

They're not bright enough to realise that something along those lines is the last throw of the dice, we're already down in my book if Kean stays in charge.

Didnt know where to put this but the lad we shipped out to bring in Myles Anderson, has just scored for Dundee United v Rangers, has made 20 appearances, can play either Centre defence or Left back!!

Another one of Keans brainwaves :angry2:

Edit: and he is only 20!

Absolutely spot on !

Kean has, IMO, made just two decent signings - Jermaine Jones & Yak.

The rest range from very average (Formica) to dire (Anderson, Ribeiro, Petro etc) !

The idea is very logical but the bus went with the transfer window ...The players are not good enough , we would be relegated wirh Fergie as manager ..But Kean has to go and for that reason alone , I would be willing to give anyone a try !!!

Not to sure about that - look at O'Neil's impact at Sunderland.

Let's face it, we can't get any worse !

We ALL KNOW that a new manager (regardless of who he is) would give us a better fighting chance than Kean, if only for the honeymoon period. I would personally welcome Steve Bruce with open arms. I feel he's a manager who works better under less pressure with less cash, and tbh, he wouldn't have much pressure to beat Kean's record. However, as I'm tired of saying, this is all immaterial, because Kean won't be going. Venky's have written us off now and seem to hope if they ignore the issue, it'll go away.

Well Samba was never behind him was he?!! And it doesn't look like Nelsen was or Andrews! After today is anyone but Desai behind him? Even the media might finally catch on and admit we were correct in our assessment!

What an utter shambles as Andrews told us.

Interesting though - do any of them have a go at Kean - most interviews I have seen they blame the owners not Kean.

I'm just a bit confused when you posted that Kean should have gone before Xmas, but have never voted for him to go?

BTW, how do you see the team pattern now, is it improved, or has it fallen apart?

Why bother voting ? it is was obvious that they wouldn't sack him.

You seem a little obsessed with me mentioning the team pattern - but as you want to go down this route - performances were drastically improved - even the Newcastle match. There was more cover for the full backs - and more pass and move.

Yesterday, obviously the wheels came off, somewhat like a defeat to Man United under Sam. In that match I can remember people questioning the tactics and effort put in by the players.

The strange thing is - I think Kean has been a victim of his own recent success. It would appear that good results at Old Trafford, Anfield and Goodison had raised expectations. How else can you explain the apparent disbelieve that we were outplayed by a team that cost 10* what ours did.

Why would Kean want to leave?

Pfft... You people don't appreciate "what he's trying to do"...

Oh I know what he is trying to do.

In fact he has lined his pockets fabulously !!!

Now could a Celtic boy destroy Rangers from within..........?
