1985–1987 Celtic

0 Appearances.

Wee Stevie couldn't even get 5 minutes as a sub. Slightly odd for such a stellar talent. What was the management thinking?

What was the relevance of Kean coming out with this tosh, anyway?

He was described as the new Kenny Dalglish when Celtic signed him!

I know Alan Nixon wrote an article saying Kean has had a face to face in Pune but there has not been a long enough gap between the reported sightings of him in Lancashire for him to have been there.

Personally I tend to the view that there is a bit of a rift with Mrs D now and the Rao family are at each others' throats over whether to sack him or not.

Anyone noticed how well Magnificent Sam is doing at West Ham? Venkys were so dumb to sack him. They should have listened to the fans who knew he was the best manager we were gonna get. I should start a topic about this... :tu:

Wouldn't have mattered if Sam had us in the top 4 at the time, his services were in doubt the moment Dick Dastardly and his mate Sneaky McSneaky found some idiots to front their plans to control the running of a football club

Another 'poor Stevie' double page interview, this time in today's Times. An interview with Glen Mullan as well.

The jist (as it's not online, if you don't pay)

He has a seventh dan in karate bodyguard

Most of the fans are behind him

usual rollocks about tough Catholic upbringing in Protestsnt side of Glasgow

He is a 'shy man'

Bolton hurt, thankfully his kiddies were not there.

His family are planning to move back here (odd, because a paragraph earlier he was saying how he is glad they are away from the abuse)

The actual football is not mentioned, AT ALL.

However, the journo (Matthew Syed) gets a few digs in about 'self delusion' and how the judge didn't believe his 'spiked' story.

Good spot- Kean probably knows so little about karate he has made something up that is all but non-credible.

I guess it is the equivalent of him saying he is scared so nobody mess with him if they see him round the Ribble Valley.

I read that as his bodyguard is a 7th dan in karate...?

EDIT: SSN have picked up on the Times story and appear to be focussing on the "vitriolic abuse from Blackburn fans" and him needing "round the clock protection" for his family.

If there are specific examples of this heinous abuse, it needs to be made public and individuals dealt with by the police.

Otherwise this carte blanche "slandering" of Rovers fans has to stop.

Meanwhile, right now, somewhere in Russia, a footballer is probably being beaten to a pulp... and no-one cares.

I hope this doesn't put Kean's postman off. Last thing he needs when dropping off 500 letters of support is a kick to the throat out of the blue.

EDIT - I've added "of support". What a guy.

Another 'poor Stevie' double page interview, this time in today's Times.

Is this a recent interview or just a rehash of an old one, if it is why on earth is he bringing the matter up again?

One minute he's telling the media he's ''winning the fans over'' <_< and then he's bringing this up again. To call him an enigma would be an understatement.

With the chances of a thrashing tomorrow and the fact he will have heard about next weeks protests he's getting his self pity in early. Of course it will all be the fan's fault

What a sleazebag he is, no wonder he needs a god damn bodyguard !!

Kean forgets to mention in the interview that the 'Bodyguard' is actually just his driver.

Yes, so the real truth is he needs a driver more than a bodyguard. The driver was needed ages ago before the aggro and when he started gettin a bit of stick the driver happended to mention he used to do a bit of karate back in the day. That sounds more like it before it's been thru the Kean spin machine that is lol
