booth Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 This just gets worse. After all the things that have been said, I'm truly beginning to wonder about the motives of some. It seems to be going way beyond wanting a change of Manager. It's nasty, really nasty and not necessary. So if Glen has knowledge about real wrong doings, he shouldn't disclose it? If I ever have any skeletons to bury, I know who to come to. Mum's the word as they say
readsi3k Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 So if Glen has knowledge about real wrong doings, he shouldn't disclose it? If I ever have any skeletons to bury, I know who to come to. Mum's the word as they say Not contingent on whether or not the manager is sacked.
chris Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 So if Glen has knowledge about real wrong doings, he shouldn't disclose it? If I ever have any skeletons to bury, I know who to come to. Mum's the word as they say hey Darren Brown lol Cheak out his lastest interview he start off looking a lot more nervous. Still gets his smug/luagh in at the end. I would like to here him say "I have a great relationship with the owners but they expect results" Maybe thats too much to ask of Kean, but I don't like the thought that he's unsackable and can laugh protests off. He should ne under pressure from the owners. It almost like the fans are replacing the board. hopefully Kamy addressed this unsackable tag.
roversmum Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Wrongdoings? It'll be the usual half-truths and conjectures no doubt.

I've studied none-verbal communication so it's difficult not to try and read him For me he's not trying to be smug, more trying to cover up his insecurities by putting on a show of bravado. Silly really as if he was a bit more human he may get more support.
hesfromburn Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 haha glen has you all hooked in. haha attention seeker. He got nothing directly correct in the transfer window just chirped in after makey had announced something. This pathetic march he organised is gonna be more embaressing and dangerous to the club than anything venkys have done
booth Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 And what if disclosing these wrong doings ultimately damage the club ? I'd say if it was that bad... A ) Glen wouldn't disclose them as he's a lifelong Rovers fan with their interests above all. B ) If it is bad enough to damage the club, it'll come out at some point anyway which would be very worrying Pfft, a -1 for what was an attempt at lifting the mood. Someone need a hug?
Ray P Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 OK DMTP, I acknowledge that perhaps evil was the wrong expression to use but I find what he/venky's have done to this club and its supporters is totally unforgivable. To witness the mass hurt and angst not just on this meassage board but to all Rovers fans I come into contact with is awful, this club has been put back years both on and off the field of play, our proud name dragged through the mud. You only have to read this thread to realise fans HAVE been turned against fellow fans...what a situation we are in! Hear, hear, a thousand times hear :-(
Tony Diamond Inc Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Some people on here ( and you know who you are) have a sinister personal agenda against Mr Kean. I actually find this laughable, and do you know what? At the moment, this thread makes me laugh a lot, because you lot keep repeating yourselves! Some people have begun to see through you I will continue to monitor the performance of Kean's team, before making my mind up. I'll leave the idiots and tremblers to gossip over the garden fence. To the marchers- take a golfers brolly, so you can all fit under it (being the minority)!
John Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 And, yes, I have had the misfortune to meet and chat with him when he was at Coventry with Coleman. I have met them both out on an evening out too, on the prowl - to be fair, they were more than nice to chat to. However, this is not about being nice or talking a good game, it is about being an appropriate manager of our football club.
chaddyrovers Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 haha glen has you all hooked in. haha attention seeker. This pathetic march he organised is gonna be more embaressing and dangerous to the club than anything venkys have done If you don't believe/want to march then Don't!!! Glen has been very good at orgainsing this march with other people. I can tell you that Glen is NO WAY an attention seeker at all!!!!
Mattyblue Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 haha glen has you all hooked in. haha attention seeker. He got nothing directly correct in the transfer window just chirped in after makey had announced something. This pathetic march he organised is gonna be more embaressing and dangerous to the club than anything venkys have done why's that then? Because it may cost us one (very unlikely) win? Even though at the game there will be full support. Defintely at the same level of appointing and keeping Steve Kean, wouldn't you say?
paullarrygher Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Similarly agree about a few of the fans concerns. I personally have become quite annoyed with those ITK. Whilst I don't believe a protest will effect the stability of the club, some of these allegations and the threats that come with them have a far greater ability to damage. It will not just be Steve Kean and Venkys that suffer as a result but all connected with the club. If allegations have foundation and evidence can be provided then they should be handed to official channels and handled in a transparent fashion. They should not be used as threats to oust people with a gun poking in their back. Are we fans or vigilantes? On that note, I'm all for Steve Kean leaving and fully support the idea of a protest. Some of the ideas surrounding it have concerned me (poetry/children placing flowers at feet of Sir Jack) but I understand that these have now been dropped. It seems to me the most effective protest is going to be simple, clear and direct. Don't add misleading touches with these other bits.

hesfromburn Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 venkys mole? surley I would just just say "BAWK!"??? Anyone seen that awful film the mist? reminds a lot of the state of this board recently
brian_gallagher85 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Some people on here ( and you know who you are) have a sinister personal agenda against Mr Kean. Nothing personal or sinister from this end, I just think he's a sh!t manager and his record back this up. I finally lost patience with him after the Wolves game when, in my opinion, he seemed to lack any sort of tactic whatsoever and it appeared that he had lost the players, despite what others seem to say. For me the whole thing boils down to his results over the last 9 months and they are in all honesty not good enough. We had a spell last season where we failed to win for 3 months, we've now had the opening month of the season and are still win less. On inspection of the upcoming fixtures it's hard to see a win coming in the next few months either given our poor record and shocking away record. I cannot personally recall a period in my time of supporting Rovers when I felt like this going into games, which personally is the most damning point for Kean.
Tony Diamond Inc Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Nothing personal or sinister from this end, I just think he's a sh!t manager and his record back this up. I have no problem with this opinion whatsoever! There cannot be a credible counter-argument to this at the moment. My problem is with those who may agree with you, and in an attempt to strengthen their case, they resort to personal slurs, and veiled allegations.
booth Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 venkys mole? surley I would just just say "BAWK!"??? Anyone seen that awful film the mist? reminds a lot of the state of this board recently Ever seen that film Sleeping with the Enemy?

My problem is with those who may agree with you, and in an attempt to strengthen their case, they resort to personal slurs, and veiled allegations. As I have said many times, if we had won more matches, I don't think there would be a protest - naturally, fans like to see their team win more matches than lose them therefore the manager is hardly going to be popular given his record to date? Also, coming out with utterly stupid comments does not help his case...
bob fleming Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 haha glen has you all hooked in. haha attention seeker. He got nothing directly correct in the transfer window just chirped in after makey had announced something. This pathetic march he organised is gonna be more embaressing and dangerous to the club than anything venkys have done They're going to walk approx one mile, sing "Kean Out!",walk round the ground then go inside and support the team. Care to explain how that compares to The Venkys who continue to employ a manager with a diabolical results record, who on their watch have seen every experienced senior exec be replaced with nobodies, make no comment regarding claims of outrageous payments to Agents, continue to take all their advise from Agents, made a profit in the last transfer window despite statements in the press by the manager that we had a very healthy and competitive budget, fail to attend home matches, insist on the manager flying to Pune every four weeks for some ridiculous reason (honestly, what for? They admit to not having a clue, what are they bringing to the party?), messed about nigh on everyone in the last transfer window and make the likelihood of attracting any other manager to the post with a shred of dignity highly unlikely? Just asking.
