Stuart Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Just caught the second half of River Monsters on ITV... Kean wasn't in that either. (Although the number if times I've typed Rivers, on my phone, instead on Rovers he could have been!)

DaFrame2r Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Absolutely, he's hasn't done a great job but he has no money to spend, the fans should look at the board not the manager.
Mattyblue Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Oh he's had money to spend, far more than our last manager, he has speni it largely on guff.
bob fleming Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Absolutely, he's hasn't done a great job but he has no money to spend, the fans should look at the board not the manager. Are you a Goldfish? Don't you remember the crap this guy comes out with, mostly directed at the fans? The 500 letters of support per day, the spiked drink, the 1%, the signing of the Agents inept son, the signing of Ribiero. The confidence that we'll make top ten, the assertion that "there is no way we'll be relegated, not a chance", the questionable way in which he got he job in the first place, his Agent. All of that and much more. Lies basically. I suppose you're right, it is the "board" who are ultimately responsible, but there is no way on earth that this guy is blame free in the bringing down of our club.

Jimmy612 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 It depends on how you look at it. From a football perspective, it is asset stripping. Replacing good players with inferior players. To the banks, owners and the fa it is seen as balancing the books. Venky's are putting the money made from sales back into the club by paying off bank loans, using a percentage to buy new players and cover operational costs. If they were selling off of players and not putting it back into the club then that is assert stripping and where the fa would look into it. I might have missed something here, and it could be glaringly obvious. But if they are just putting it back in to the club, then why are they here? They surely must be taking something out of this, otherwise they would sell? Unless of course they are balancing the books to make it debt free (impossible??), and therefore a little more salable thus all of this 'we are not for sale' is a ploy to squeeze a bit more brass out of someone?

They do have form on this. They actually went to the trouble of issuing a statement on Rovers official site to state categorically that Samba was not for sale !
bannedwidth Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 How would you feel if Kean somehow managed to not send us down and by this time next year we are in 8th place pushing for a euro spot? If anyone bothers to answer, don't answer with "are you joking kean is useless" bla bla bla. What I'm asking is can you ever accept him as our manager if he does manage to pull it off? I only ask because I think I will always dislike him no matter how well he does. Which he won't, but still...

For the most part I will give anyone a chance but with kean its not only his lack of ability but also his mouth. Anyway he has been given so many chances.

I only ask because I think I will always dislike him no matter how well he does. Which he won't, but still... Can't stand the clown, but as we can't get him out when we are on our arses, we certainly wouldn't if he had us in 8th place. I'm not a hypocrite, I'm all about results, so I'd grit my teeth, and get on with it. But it is completely moot, a) because he's useless and b] because along with the owners and his agent, he has deboweled this great club of ours and made it impossible for it to flourish.

I want him, the owners and any parasitic agent associated with the club removed. Only then can we even begin to rebuild the club from the shell that it is now.

I'd happily eat as much humble pie as required and take back everything I said about his coaching ability. I'm more than content with the judgement I've made though based on 14 months of utter crap, so I don't think it's going to be required. Obviously I'd be delighted if it happened though.

Andy Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Somebody on Facebook posted an apparently genuine email reply from Kean - although it was a missed opportunity as the sender was actually pleasant to the weasel and got a pleasant response. However, the email address was clear on the screenshot (a Rocketmail address), so I fired off an email of my own - let's just say the next time he checks his emails, he'll know where I stand on Steve Kean and his continued employment with Blackburn Rovers

BRFC1995 Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 quote from kean He said: "You look back to last season and I think I'm right in saying Blackpool had 32 points at this stage, so we feel we can get back to teams, and not only Villa. Swansea are just above them, and we're looking to catch the teams above us. how reporters refrain from the old cough cough bullsh1t cough cough gag when speaking to this tool is beyond me.
